Everything was acceptable. The staff was helpful and friendly, the room and hotel was clean, the breakfast was adequate. My only hesitation would be: our room was on the second floor and there was not elevator to get there. In my opinion that should be stated when the reservation is made because not everyone is able to carry their luggage up a flight of stairs. We explored Calumet and found it a cute town. We enjoyed the gift shops and ice cream store,

This is a two story hotel, with no elevator. In addition, the card reader for the entry door furthest from the lobby did not work. The breakfast was adequate, but for a hotel of this size, the seating was very inadequate. The staff was not friendly at all.

This hotel turned out to be one of my favorites. Check-in and Check-out were easy and quick. The room was cleaned each day of our stay. Everything worked in the room except hot water for the shower. Breakfast was good and parking was plentiful. Thanks for a great stay.

While the hotel and the rooms were nice and the staff Pleasant and accommodating the problem is with Wyndham corporate. The hotel is not equipped to handle large number of guests trying to take showers. There was no hot water for people to shower with prior to having to leave for a very important graduation ceremony. The corporate office did not care and has not made the recommended updates to the facility to allow for continuous hot water for all guests. Their solution was just wait or take a cold shower. You pay too much money for a hotel to not have the basic amenities. I recommend everyone check to make sure that the hotel has a continuous hot water supply before booking

The hotel looked and felt cheap, especially for how expensive the room was. I had the shower turned as hot as it could go and the water was barely luke warm. I like warm, not hot showers. Anyone who likes a hot shower would have been really disappointed. The TV didnt let us scroll through channels, we had to use thier guide and type in the channel. Its minor, but annoying. Staff wasn't overly friendly and didn't tell us when the breakfast hours were. The hotel was clean and we had a quiet stay, which we appreciated.

No hot water! Kim at the front desk replied "well you know we are busy". What? Maintenance came and said to wait 10 minutes this happens all the time when they are busy. When we checked out still hour later still no hot water. There are other places in the area that I will stay at in the future. Very disappointing!!

Staff was nice, including housekeepers. Room was clean, common areas were pretty well-maintained. Breakfast was fine, nothing special. Hotel felt safe and well-lit. Two gripes... --the bed was not comfortable if you're someone who moves a lot in your sleep. Lots of motion. --WiFi was barely dial-up speed most of the time. I had some work to do but it took forever to upload even a single picture.

It was a very pleasant 3 nights for the most part. The suite was very large and comfortable. The breakfasts were very good. The neighborhood was old and had seen hard times but is coming back. We felt safe walking our dog in the area. the lobby coffee was very good and it was kept fresh. We only had 2 disappointments. The hotel does not have an elevator. We were on the second floor and it became very inconvenient to go for coffee, take the dog for a walk or get ice from the first floor. The second problem was the very slow WI-FI. I clocked it at less than 3 meg. That's nowhere near suitable for any thing but email and print sites.We don't watch TV when traveling. The internet is more important to us so the super slow wi-fi was a real negative. Everything else was great.

We engaged this hotel because it was the only one available at the time in Calumet, and we wanted to be closer to the middle of the Keweenaw Peninsula than Houghton. We would have been better off staying in Houghton. This place had a bad smell; it was humid; the bed was uncomfortable. The staff, however, was nice.

The desk clerk was very nice. Our first room had wet carpeting and smelled awful. Normally we would just live with it, but this time it was awful enough I called the desk clerk. She apologized as she felt housekeeping must have cleaned the carpet and not told her. She looked up and found us an upgrade to king bed empty down the hall. The room smelled better, everything looked clean, but the bed springs or platform gave in and made loud noises all night as we tried to sleep on it. Breakfast bar was okay.

Check in was okay, the keys were not working and I had to get new cards every time I came and went. This led to patrons leaving the outside doors propped open - not safe. The desk gave someone a key to my room late at night and they were able to open the door but I did have the bolt on. I kept saying the room was occupied but they kept slamming the door to open it. Towels and linens okay. Large room, pool and hot tub area clean and well maintained. Breakfast was minimal. $200/night a bit pricey for this location. Staff was friendly.

Enjoyed out stay. Stopped to check in around 3 p.m. on our way to Copper Harbor MI. This was a great central spot for us to stay while we toured the UP. When we came back that evening there were lots of people staying there four wheeling. I think the hotel was packed. It was very quiet that night. No noise that we could hear from other guests. We had a great typical Continental breakfast. You could tell most of the people there were from WI as well all seemed to get up around the same time in the a.m. for breakfast. You have to remember while you are there the time is one hour ahead. We will be coming back again next year and we'll be staying here. A great clean friendly place to stay. Great experience from booking to leaving.

Housekeeping didnt come in room to dispose of trash or replenish towels. However the breakfast was amazing! Parling was great and the 2 sisters that work the desk day n pm were helpful and nice.
