Room smelled like marijuana smoke. The property was generally run down. One elevator was out of service the other elevator made creaking noise and was rated for only 2 people. No hot water in morning for shower.

Great location. Clean. Good price. There were lots of little things. Periods where nobody answer phone because she’s on her cell. Staff sitting out front smoking. I thought they were homeless. Dirty windows and elevator. Lame breakfast. Rooms too dark. Loose screws and broken mirror. Fitness room broken and outdated. Need a new front door. The current one is beat up.

super super old hotel. The gym only has one treadmill working. Bathroom made weird flushing sounds throughout the night and was difficult to sleep. definitely try to book somewhere else!

Fairly rundown hotel. Fitness room only had one functioning piece of equipment out of 6 or so, and you had to ask the staff to let you in. The workers were nice and professional but this place needs a major deep clean and makeover. I feel like my money would've went further somewhere else. I won't be staying here again.

We normally stay here when visiting the Henry Ford Museum. It is very close. The room was clean and slightly outdated but good for an overnighter. The pool was closed. Breakfast was good. Shower gets lowest ranking due to low pressure and mild temperatures. Staff were friendly. Will continue to stay here until a better place is found.

The first night, the front desk clerk was extremely rude upon check in. Fortunately, the front desk gentleman the next day was very kind and pleasant. As far as cleanliness, there was a ziploc baggy in the elevator both nights I was there and tissues on the ground in the other. The 4th floor carpet was ripped a little and appeared stained. It smelled of marijuana in the halls - my child commented on it. However, our room appeared clean and I was grateful for that.

Although the room itself was clean, the carpet had stains and felt sticky. Carpets in the common areas were also old, in disrepair and stained. The doors and walls are paper thin so you can hear what your neighbors are saying. The elevators were clunky and honestly scary. Breakfast was pretty lackluster. No eggs, no apple juice, no yogurt, no fruit. The pool was so overrun with what looked like a very large group of folks who may or may not have even been staying there because the door to the pool room was propped open. It was so full my daughter and I were only in there for about 10 minutes and finally left because kids were splashing us and diving and cannonballing almost on top of us. The staff at the front desk are always out smoking it seems and I had to call a couple times prior to checking in (different days), but I only successfully reached someone once. Very dissatisfying stay.

Woman at the counter was nice. Had to cancel a room bc of illness so only had 3 rooms with those guest. Looked as if the it needed to be vacuumed throughout the hotel. Hallways smelled. People had their doors open and appeared they were living long term there. The rooms were smelly and musty. Checked the mattresses and they were BROWN! We had children, one crawling and couldn’t bear to have him crawl on the floor. After a brief meeting with other family members we loaded up and left within a half hour of checking in. Of course received no refund. Went and spent a bit more for another place and was very happy there.

Hotel was very run down. Rooms were ok, but the hotel itself starting with the doors you walk in seems like it is falling apart and not kept up on the cleaning of common areas. Breakfast area was a joke. The lady in charge was mostly on her phone or talking with other staff. Eggs, sausage, potatoes were completely empty and had to track her down to ask for more. Then went to the pancake mix and syrup were also out with an hour left to go for breakfast. She was very unfriendly and seemed bothered when I asked if they could be refilled. When I walked through the rickety doors, there was a dispenser for water that was leaking all over the floor. Not a little, a lot. Elevators were dirty and clunky. I did not feel safe on it and took the stairs a lot.

The first room they gave us (Room 411) had very poor cooling, the water in the bathroom was cold, and the toilet was in bad condition. They changed our room to another one room 414 that was somewhat better, but it still had issues. The toilet seat was broken, and there were bedbugs that bite the body.

The Country Inn charged me a $100 deposit even though I told them the room was paid for already through Hotels.com, which they have not returned my deposit!!! Then after I checked in, they made us wait 40 minutes until my room was cleaned and ready before I could enter it. The elevator floors were nasty and hotel lobby floors were not cleaned. By far the worst hotel experience I've ever had!!! I'm still mad because they stole $100 from me. They need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau for conning people out of their hard earned money!!!

Staff were all very nice. However, I stayed in the first room off the first floor lobby, which shares a wall with the waffle machine, and has the kitchen across the hall. At 5:30 AM when staff started getting breakfast ready, and especially anytime someone made a waffle, which results in 5 loud beeps each time a waffle is ready (!), it made sleep impossible. I got into the property my first night after 1 AM, and was awake a few short hours later with the first waffle of the day.

Hotel is dated in its appearance. However, it was clean. Room was missing the tv remote. Called the front desk and was told it would be brought to the room. No one ever brought the remote. Told the clerk at the front desk when checking out. The only response was “you need to talk to the manager”.

Good for the price. However shower was ice cold and never actually got up to temperature. Breakfast was passable, but don't expect fine dining. Overall just passable. Would have been mid of the road if the shower worked.

We waited forever to check in and we were literally the only guests checking in. While the receptionist Natasha was checking us in she answered her personal phone. She was talking on her phone through the earbud that she had in her ear. She didn’t smile once while we were there. There was something white and crusty dried on the cloth chair in the room. The 5 pillows that were all on the bed were barely half pillows. The lady in charge of the breakfast in the morning was slamming the metal pans the food was in and did not help us when we asked for something to stir our coffee with. She actually ignored us and kept on doing what she was doing. We definitely will not be staying at this property again.

My stay was okay. The refrigerator was molded on the inside, couldn’t figure out how to work the shower, the front desk never answered the phone my entire stay and I had to jump through hoops to find out what the WiFi access code was.

My stay was okay. The refrigerator was molded on the inside, couldn’t figure out how to work the shower, the front desk never answered the phone my entire stay and I had to jump through hoops to find out what the WiFi access code was.

Props to the staff—they are kind, friendly, and helpful. I arrived at 10:30 am, having taken a 6 am flight from the east coast and I’d only gotten 3 hours sleep the night before. I was informed that check-in was at 3 pm, but when I begged to have a room ready sooner so that I could take a nap before my evening event, the staff made it happen and got me a room before 3 pm—so grateful! Room amenities are great—every room has a microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer and iron. There are laundry facilities on site so you don’t have to pack a lot of clothes if you’re planning an extended stay. Beds are comfortable and my neighbors thankfully were quiet and I had no trouble sleeping. Breakfast is included but it’s not very healthy and the food was not that great. None of the bread products were whole wheat and the only fresh fruit available was apples. I ended up walking a half-mile down the street to Westborn, a gourmet grocery store with prepared food, perfect for a hotel, and I highly recommend it as a place to purchase fresh fruit, yogurt and prepared salads. A lot of the equipment in the fitness room was nonfunctional but the manager promised to have it fixed when I notified him. There is a pool on-site. I mainly enjoyed my stay and thought that just a few improvements (better food at breakfast and functional fitness room equipment) would have been improvements. And I really am grateful for the early check-in.

The Country Inn charged me a $100 deposit even though I told them the room was paid for already through Hotels.com, which they have not returned my deposit!!! Then after I checked in, they made us wait 40 minutes until my room was cleaned and ready before I could enter it. The elevator floors were nasty and hotel lobby floors were not cleaned. By far the worst hotel experience I've ever had!!! I'm still mad because they stole $100 from me. They need to be reported to the Better Business Bureau for conning people out of their hard earned money!!!

Took Amtrak to Dearborn from Chicago to visit Greenfield Village. The station is next door to the Comfort inn. You can’t cross the RR tracks however to get to the museum so it’s a half mile walk. Very doable and the motel was very nice. Location being the primary reason for staying here.

Check in was quick. The room was acceptable. The complementary shampoo & conditioner were minuscule bottles. The fan in the bathroom was EXTREMELY noisy! It would have been helpful to have a Guide channel for the TV. The bed was comfortable. Housekeeping did not come on the second day….someone arrived at 9:30 am on our last day with fresh towels, but we were ready to checkout. Breakfast: the coffee was sub standard, there was no regular creamer, only hazelnut, and no Splenda. We came down by 8:30 and the bagels were gone, there was no syrup for the waffles, no fresh fruit, only white bread for toast, and the cereal was all pre-sweetened variety. The eggs were fine. From then on, we went out for breakfast. My shower on our last morning took over TEN MINUTES to get warm. Not pleased at all.

Hotel was very run down. Rooms were ok, but the hotel itself starting with the doors you walk in seems like it is falling apart and not kept up on the cleaning of common areas. Breakfast area was a joke. The lady in charge was mostly on her phone or talking with other staff. Eggs, sausage, potatoes were completely empty and had to track her down to ask for more. Then went to the pancake mix and syrup were also out with an hour left to go for breakfast. She was very unfriendly and seemed bothered when I asked if they could be refilled. When I walked through the rickety doors, there was a dispenser for water that was leaking all over the floor. Not a little, a lot. Elevators were dirty and clunky. I did not feel safe on it and took the stairs a lot.

On a five night stay, the beds were only made up twice and the room supplies were spotty. The Breakfast was good for the most part but shortages and poor planning showed. (no forks out of coffee) the waffles were good however.

Awesome location to visit The Henry Ford Museum. But the place is showing its age. It's outdated appearance made you feel like it was not clean. I stayed at multiple hotels on my way up to Detroit and this place was sub par (I know this is not a fair perspective). ★★☆☆☆ We recently stayed at the Comfort Inn near Greenfield Village, and unfortunately, the experience did not come close to matching the price we paid. At check-in, there was a notice explaining that the hotel was undergoing renovations and asking guests for patience. We were certainly willing to be understanding about renovations. However, during our stay, we did not see any renovation work taking place, and more importantly, renovations do not excuse a lack of basic cleanliness. The carpets throughout the hotel were extremely dirty and stained. This wasn't limited to one hallway or floor. We noticed stained carpets, pieces of food, crumbs, and small bits of garbage throughout the common areas. The floors and carpeting in our room also did not feel particularly clean. Renovations may explain unfinished or undecorated hallways, but they do not explain why carpets aren't being regularly vacuumed and cleaned. Our sheets and towels were clean, which we appreciated, but that should be a basic expectation at any hotel, not something that compensates for the condition of the rest of the property. The condition of the hotel also affected our willingness to use the amenities. I didn't even bother taking our children to the pool because, after seeing how poorly the floors and carpets appeared to be maintained, I simply wasn't comfortable taking the chance. Breakfast was disappointing as well. There were no meaningful gluten-free options that we could identify, nor halal.

The carpet in the halls and room could use shampooing, leaving an unclean feeling throughout. The free breakfast had a few ok offerings, but the scrambled - powdered -eggs were frankly not good. Although the staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel was ok for a one-night layover, I wouldn’t want to stay much longer.
