"You get what you pay for." A phrase you often hear in life. Our recent family trip to Fowlervilee MI, we weren't expecting to pay for a hotel but our plans to stay with family sadly changed. We found the Magnuson and went for it since it was close to family. Upon arriving, we were told their was no longer a pool or congenital breakfast which was advertised on the website at the time of booking. A little disappointed but not the end of the world for us. We walked into our room once we were able to finally get the door open. Apparently after swiping your key card, you have to pull the handle at the right time to open it. The room is incredibly outdated. The beds were like bricks. They did not clean our room each day. Only took out the trash and gave us new towels. The shower did not drain properly. The sink was never cleaned. We went to Walmart right next door and bought our own Clorox wipes to clean and disinfect the room ourselves. We were throughly unhappy. Truthfully, this hotel is not cut out foe families but is the perfect place for truckers or anyone who doesn't care to sleep in a clean place.

The property itself wasn’t that bad for what it was, an off the highway rest stop. As for the staff, they were a bit rude, I’d say don’t ask for any sort of early check in, also $25 cash only deposit when renting, be mindful.

No spa. Did not have pets No service in the 11th even though I was done all day. Towels not replaced bed not made no new coffee supples Was told there was a continental breakfast Saturday morning there were 5 pre wrapped small muffins, no liquid like milk juice or coffee. Bins with dry cereal. I took 3 muffins Sunday morning the conditions were the same with the 2 muffins left from Saturday. Did note that who I am assuming was the owners son sitting in the lobby eating his bowl of cereal Sunday morning

Friendly service. Seems like nice people. But there was no breakfast as advertised. Also, my 12-year-old son for a cup of cigerette ashes in one of the dresser drawers, along with 3 unopened condoms. I had to explain to him what they were, ugh. Glad for the fridge and microwave. I like they keep the price affordable. The beds are hard but I only stayed one night so the price was worth it. I couldn't sleep two nights though, my back would be rough. Clean pillows and blankets though.

Stayed here after MSU game. Staff were quite pleasant, room was clean, bed was surprisingly comfortable (seemed rather hard when I first got on it) and the place was quiet. It is not a showplace but it fit my need and I would stay again.

The front desk employees were incredibly rude and unhelpful, no one there knew how to properly run a hotel except for the one male manager. It took them 30 minutes to get us checked in late at night after we gave them our name and confirmation code for the prepaid stay and they tried to tell us that it wasn’t in the system. Eventually we got it sorted but the next day they walked in on me changing without knocking.

I enjoyed staying here. The property is older, but meticulously maintained and clean. The room was quiet and the staff were exceptionally friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

The property itself wasn’t that bad for what it was, an off the highway rest stop. As for the staff, they were a bit rude, I’d say don’t ask for any sort of early check in, also $25 cash only deposit when renting, be mindful.

Stayed here after MSU game. Staff were quite pleasant, room was clean, bed was surprisingly comfortable (seemed rather hard when I first got on it) and the place was quiet. It is not a showplace but it fit my need and I would stay again.

Room was generally clean but two bugs in bedding and one in bath (all dead). No ice available on property. Phone was not working. Noise from large trucks passing. Actually OK. I have seen much worse, but not great.

"You get what you pay for." A phrase you often hear in life. Our recent family trip to Fowlervilee MI, we weren't expecting to pay for a hotel but our plans to stay with family sadly changed. We found the Magnuson and went for it since it was close to family. Upon arriving, we were told their was no longer a pool or congenital breakfast which was advertised on the website at the time of booking. A little disappointed but not the end of the world for us. We walked into our room once we were able to finally get the door open. Apparently after swiping your key card, you have to pull the handle at the right time to open it. The room is incredibly outdated. The beds were like bricks. They did not clean our room each day. Only took out the trash and gave us new towels. The shower did not drain properly. The sink was never cleaned. We went to Walmart right next door and bought our own Clorox wipes to clean and disinfect the room ourselves. We were throughly unhappy. Truthfully, this hotel is not cut out foe families but is the perfect place for truckers or anyone who doesn't care to sleep in a clean place.

The Continental Breakfast was lacking and not well stocked. The coffee that was made for breakfast was not good at all. We decided to go over to McDonalds to get breakfast.

Its was a disgusting nightmare was charged twice with no refund No breakfast no pool Ill probably never use my 50$ voucher that was issued to my next stay @ different location Hotel & this online booking as far as im concerned you both suck & are useless

No spa. Did not have pets No service in the 11th even though I was done all day. Towels not replaced bed not made no new coffee supples Was told there was a continental breakfast Saturday morning there were 5 pre wrapped small muffins, no liquid like milk juice or coffee. Bins with dry cereal. I took 3 muffins Sunday morning the conditions were the same with the 2 muffins left from Saturday. Did note that who I am assuming was the owners son sitting in the lobby eating his bowl of cereal Sunday morning

Friendly service. Seems like nice people. But there was no breakfast as advertised. Also, my 12-year-old son for a cup of cigerette ashes in one of the dresser drawers, along with 3 unopened condoms. I had to explain to him what they were, ugh. Glad for the fridge and microwave. I like they keep the price affordable. The beds are hard but I only stayed one night so the price was worth it. I couldn't sleep two nights though, my back would be rough. Clean pillows and blankets though.

I guess you get what you pay for, but I would pass by. Very outdated, that was uncomfortable, it wasn’t even a fitted sheet. It was just a flat sheet and the mattress pants underneath were falling apart. I felt unsafe and not clean and sucked with the light on all night. Breakfast didn’t start until 730 on a Saturday. I had to go to McDonald’s and get coffee. I guess I’ll travel further to stay where next time I’m in town.

This motel is very convenient right off the highway; you don't hear any highway noise which was great. We didn't eat the breakfast but it looked pretty sparse. Unfortunately the room itself felt grimy (especially the really old carpet) and not clean. The finials on the headboards aren't attached (my kids thought they made great baseball bats), the headboard had a weird slimy coating on it, the flat sheet used instead of a fitted sheet wouldn't stay on the bed, the chairs in the room were mismatched, the bathroom faucet had weird pressure and always sprayed us. But it was important to us to stay right in Fowlerville, so we just sucked it up.

Nice quiet motel very near the interstate. Easy to find, and everyone was friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and had a bathtub instead of only a shower!
