Building is old and beat up. Air conditioning doesn’t work. Ice machine doesn’t work. Hot tub doesn’t work. Don’t stay here until the owner puts some money into the place.

No hot tub ,no workout room ,no breakfast for guests, no bar,no phone in room,and no cold water for shower. And add 50.00 to bill with no explanation. Also womens bathroom not clean and mens closed.

The hotel needs some TLC. Great indoor swimming pool area. Lots of room for swimming & room for kids to play. The man checking you out was also cleaning the rooms. The Wi-Fi didn't work most of the time. I used a different Wi-Fi.

Could hear the people in adjoining rooms conversation. Carpet dirty. Airconditioning in hall and pool area not working. Ice machine on 1st floor broken. In general property old. 2nd Travelodge we have stayed at both need work.

The main walkways/hallways were stained and in need of repairs. The room was clean, but the shower didn't work well and had quite a bit of rust in the water. We were also disappointed to find out that not only was the sauna not working, but the hot tub was not hot either. The pool was nearly a foot low and the water was actually warmer than the hot tub. It's ok if you're passing trough i suppose.

PROPERTY WAS UNDER RENOVATIONS , NO TV ,NO INTERNET . SHOULD HAVE NOT EVEN BE TAKING GUESTS AS PER RENOVATIONS

Easy access. Needs some improvements to floors. Friendly staff. Amazing indoor pool area.

Right at check in there was a computer issue. The doors were wide open to the lobby and it was stuffy and stale smelling. Pool, hot tub and breakfast service were unavailable but this was not noted at reservation. We did receive an email after reservation stating the hot tub was waiting on an element and was running cooler than usual. But the hot tub was empty. The pool was green. In one room the bathroom door had been painted so many times it no longer closed. The bathtub drains in 2 rooms were very very slow and there were no plugs. The staff was friendly and apologetic and changed a room for us right away when we discovered a serious drain clog. We would not recommend this hotel.

The place is dirty no wi-fi ice maker out of order the pool out of order not worth what i had to pay ti stay i will never stay here again and will not recommend it to anyone

The hotel was under some upgrades but still a very nice place to stay the staff are very polite and we had no problems with our room or service! The pool area is indoor and was nice. The hot tub didn't work but they did send us an email before vacation which i thought was nice. They will probably have it fixed soon they said. We had lake plans anyways so no bother to us! The hotel was is walking distance from the bars/food so that was nice and there are some nice people in gaylord michigan!

When I saw Wyndham as the property owner I didn’t bother to check the reviews. Huge Mistake! I can’t believe Wyndham would want their name on the building. I can’t speak poorly enough about this place. Disgusting! I can send pictures. I will be sending information to the local health department too.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed. The room was real dirty. It seemed that since the hotel was made they have not had any renovations done. The carpet was filthy. Just dirty everywhere.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Absolutely disgusting everywhere. No AC. Broken lights. Folded up/wrinkles in the carpet causing trip hazards. Poor air quality and foul smells of mold everywhere. ALL AROUND DISGUSTING.

The room was very dirty, the walk in shower was impossible to safely enter. The bathroom was very dirty. The pictures on the site in no way match the room. The room was non refundable but it was so dirty we left and booked another hotel in the same town. 200$ for another hotel is priceless when you fear what you could bring home (bugs)

An embarrassment to the Travelodge and Wyndham name! Dirty, smelly, poorly maintained....

Bed bugs, dark and humid rec area with minimal lighting , dirty stained carpets with clothing in hallways, bathroom doors barely close and pictures on website don’t match the room reserved. Dirt on walls and mirror now wiped down. Floor of room was dirty and there was a smell throughout especially when the AC unit turned on. Bathroom very small and had to basically climb over toilet to get into shower.

The place was filthy! The ceiling in the lobby was in need of repair. The hallways, stairwells, and bathrooms were all dirty. The mirror in the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned. The workers were friendly enough but it was a dirty place. We had an event to go to so I didn’t think to take pictures. We definitely will not stay there again.

This was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. The place was filthy even our sheets. We have 4 doors to our room. The pool is very sketchy and we had to ask for the lights to be turned on. Nothing works including the hot tub. It’s like an abandoned hotel but it costs $200 a night. There were still random ropes hanging from the beams from previous events. The carpet is horrifying. I’m just glad we made it through the night. The effects from the kids swimming in the pool may show up later. I’m shocked it passed any inspections and is under the Wyndham name. Run from this place!

Room and overall hotel is unkept and dirty. Room floor appeared unswept with a layer of dust on everything. Our room had an unwelcome gift of diarrhea in the toilet. Drain in the tub was plugged and took a long time to completely drain after a shower. Also the ceiling in the bathroom had a huge water stain and crack in the drywall from a leak.

Only stayed here because it was the cheapest in the area and all we needed was a bed..... Really wish we hadn't. Dark. Dirty. Musty. Dilapidated. Foul. Looks like they might be "under renovation" but they should probably close and do whatever renovations they are attempting. $200 is absolutely insane. If you can, go elsewhere.

Terrible experience, don't try it. Worst hotel ever. A/C noisy, very dirty carpet, spiders on bed and the worst thing: someone else underwear on the floor. Drain in Shower didn't work, water went to carpet. Go away from this option!!!

I had no frig. They must be updating or something room was clean and bed comfortable

The ceiling had a lot of water damage and missing tile in our room. Our toilet continuously ran and barely flushed. The "fitness area" smelled musty/moldy, and had tiles from the ceiling that fell to the floor and were still on the floor.

The propeywas under a total renovation. There was no heat in the rooms.

So alot , When we first arrived the fridge didn't work so we got moved to a new room. That night the toilet stopped working we had told housekeeping they said they would take care of it and when we got back 9 hrs later it still wasnt working so we had to go to the desk and ask for a plunger. The water / pool was really nice , however the fishtank outback looks like its never been serviced and the fish were starving to death. ( Litteraly tried eating our fingers.) The algie was so bad it was green and the water running down definitely didnt arrerate that small little section these poor fish were in. Pool area, was very nice and pleasant pool was warmer then any ive been in which was nice. However the lights and heat for hottub dont get turned until asked to do so even at 9pm at night when completely dark. The sign on doir says open till 11pm but they ask you to leave at 10pm. The exhaust fans looked like they were going to fall off the ceiling into the pool. Room : Room was nice and accommodating however there was alot of work that needed to be done. The bathroom door swings open to the toilet ( no space to squeeze in if your bigger set. ) the door hinges were coming off, i believe there was no airration in the bathroom what so ever and the vent they have went to the next room so you could hear everything the room next to you said if you were using the bathroom. The door that lead to the pool has a room key scanner that didnt like to work. Staff didnt know why.

It needs a lot of TLC, when water was first turned on it was brown. The beds were very comfortable.

The person at the desk checking us in and out was great! The stairway carpet was dirty. The bed was comfortable. The room needs some updating. The tub is peeling. There are nicks and dings in the furniture. There was no blow dryer.

Man who checked us in was unprofessional, took a good 45 minutes. He told us he had no rooms because the entire staff didnt show up. And we prepaid and did online check in to save time. Still took forever. And the wifi didnt work

Was double charged for the room even though the lady at the front desk was told that I had used the online check in.

The property manager was not very pleasant.

The staff was rude, and my room had water leaking from the ceiling. It was filthy, and the toilet seat was hanging off. They refused my refund, and I am now fighting for it, which I will receive.ill receive.

Just passing thru Gaylord and needed a place for one night (Friday). Easy booking with Expedia, check in was fast and efficient with friendly staff! Location was right in center of business district which made for easy dinner, gas up and extra supplies from grocery store. Facility is older but owners have it well maintained. Plenty of parking room! I will use this travel lodge again!!!

Up north for fall colors and made a one night reservation. Check in time is after 3 pm. Arrived at the motel at 7:30 pm tired after driving all day looking at the fall colors and was told my room was not ready and to come back in a couple hours. Came back at 9:30 pm and the room was finally ready. That really sucks

Hotel was just purchased by new owners and is under remodeling. Hotel has great potential. Customer service was great!

Booked one type of room and after waiting 30 minutes in line I was told that room type was unavailable. Slow service and a subpar room, definitely do not recommend staying here.

old hotel. front desk was rude. newer carpet in room. bed was comfortable. hotels on west side of 75 are better but more expensive than hotels on the east of 75.

There were men sleeping out in the parking lot in their vehicles several of them. I opened my windows this morning, and one man was looking in my window from his vehicle. The floors were disgusting, even though they had coffee in the room. There was no coffee pot. There was dirt all over the walls in the door in the bathroom. My girlfriend slept out in the vehicle half the night because she was afraid of getting bedbugs. It was disgusting. I hated it. I would’ve left if there was something else available.

I really don’t know where to start with this place. It was a complete disaster from start to finish. First off, almost everything was broken—hot tub, sauna, and the ice machine. Not to mention there were no pool towels, and when I asked for more pillows, I was told they only had three, despite most people needing at least two per person. It felt like they were doing everything they could to avoid helping. The heater in our room was a nightmare. It kept turning on and off every 30 seconds, so I couldn’t get any rest. And don’t get me started on the lobby – they had kerosene heaters with open flames, which felt dangerous, and the whole place was freezing. The hallway and pool room were just as cold as the outdoors, and the leaks everywhere in the lobby and pool room made the place look like it was falling apart. The staff wasn’t much better. The receptionist couldn't even find my reservation because I booked online, and when I was in the pool with my kids, the staff glared at us like we were doing something wrong. Not a friendly vibe at all. Also, the pool door wouldn’t even close properly from our room. It’s no surprise there were only a few families staying here—the place is clearly falling apart. There were no local sports on TV, no breakfast, no vending machines working, and to top it off, the sidewalks weren’t even shoveled. The place is so run down, I’m shocked it hasn’t been shut down by the health department. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Got to the hotel and went to the door we go to and there was a group of guys there right at the entrance cooking on the grill they were there for hours and hours right at the entrance. There was no screen on the window the window opened all the way up. A guy slept in his car right outside our window all night but very uneasy and it was really creepy I was not comfortable. There is only two pillows on a king size bed spider webs the floor corners, stained towels marks on pillow cases. The microwave was black inside. It was just horrible

The proprty is so outdated. It smelled so bad of musty mildew. Carpet coming off the walls. No iCe machines working no vending machines working. Maintanence lacking Drug deals going on out side no security cameras working fights. In general it was so ghetto and def would NEVER stay there or invite people to stay there

Almost didn't stay due to other reviews. Glad we did. Great location, awesome pool, bed was good. Drawbacks were slow checking, no breakfast, and no blow dryer. Would definitely stay again.

Checked inn at front desk dark, guest grilling outside in the parking lot. went to room fridge was so loud ceiling appeared to be falling in entire hotel looked like a drug house. Did not stay did not bring our belongings to the room. Checked out. and booked a room in Petosky at the Day's Inn. Run from this place. Not safe.

The building was in poor condition. The drapes on windows were unhooked and hanging haphazard. The was no coffee in lobby. The ice machine was not working. The staff at the desk was very friendly, efficient and polite. The roses around the building were very pretty.

I understand renovating but the place was dirty. Nothing in the lobby not even coffee! Coffee pots There but nothing. How hard is that? Also no hot water in shower! Stay was not good!

The beds were very comfortable. But the site said there would be breakfast and there was none. The toilet and refrigerator wriggled, the carpet appeared to not have been vacuumed, there is nothing over sink drain, so you could lose something down there.

There is no bar, like pictured. Actually, nothing was as it was in the pics. It was dirty, and run down. Overpriced for the condition of the hotel.

The areas other than in our room smelled of sewer. There was no breakfast of any sort. The price was way too much for the quality of the property and I would not stay here again. There was an issue with the language barrier. I actually could understand the older gentleman but he could not understand me, speaking plain English for 50 years now. There was an issue with him finding things on the computer that was no issue for the younger man with him. I understand renovation issues but maybe lower prices when you are taking away everything but a bed, shower and tv. The room, other than lacking a tub and in need of some minor maintenance, was actually pretty good.

We will NEVER stay here again. Just walking into the lobby was DARK, freezing cold, cracks all over the walls and cieling tiles molded, broke or hanging right down. There was a very strong odor just walking into the hotel. The staff was kind and helpful, but not nearly enough of them. Sadly it sounds like the newest owners bit off much more than they could chew with this hotel. We picked it based on location and great amenities, but come to find out on arrival the hot tub is empty and has been broken for over a month, the pool was quite yellowish-green, the restaurant and breakfast offered and advertised have been permanently closed. The smell continued all the way down the halls to our room along with constant stains everywhere, walls included. We finally get into our room and find am elder women half dressed already occupying the room. Another 30min later finally get another room to find tore up carpet, stained/smelly carpet, a spider web covered curtians and window that was duct taped shut. Literal crqcks and holes in the wall. We found multiple clumps of black hair in the shower/bathtub. The room was very rough. We were passing through town and couldnt find availability at any of the other local hotels so were in a bad position needing a place to just sleep at this point. We contacted Wyndham regarding this location and the very large amount of angry people lined up outside the lobby door at 9pm complaining of the conditions and demanding either a refund or different room
