It was well worth the money. We enjoyed our stay and it was only 12 minutes from the beach. One thing to note, there is no elevator. So be prepared to carry things up the stairs if on the second floor.

Overall, we were pleased with this venue. However, the hot tub was not functioning the entirety of our 4 night stay nor were the guest laundry room clothes dryers. Middle of summer, wet pool & beach wear & towels were still wet the following day, so no dryers were a huge disappointment. Breakfast choices were many, and the serving hours of 6:30 - 9:30 worked well for us. The self cooking mini pancakes were a great treat!

Consistent service throughout the years. You know what to expect each time. Not walkable to anything because of the avenue and lack of sidewalk access, but parking is good. Plenty of fast food restaurants nearby. The breakfast is decent and the eating area is clean. Good size pool. The place tends to be quiet. Will stay again if the price is right.

We spent eight nights at the Baymont in Grand Haven, Michigan. It was quiet and convenient. The staff was respectful and kind and the free breakfast was good. There was always coffee, tea and hot chocolate available in the lobby. The pool and hot tub were fabulous, even though the hot tub was out of order for the last 4 days we were there. The Baymont is a fine place to stay.

We were in town visiting family for four days. Liked the different breakfast entree all four days. Pool was great. Cant tell you how many hotel's we've stayed in with "indoor heated pool" that was so cold you couldn't swim in it. This one was perfect. Pool was warm and hot tub was hot. Room was average size. Room and hotel were clean. We would definitely stay again.

My family and I just stayed the night as it was just a quick get-a-way for us. We really enjoy the area and the hotel was lovely. It smelled so good in there and my 11 year old loves the pool! Our room was nice and clean and the staff was very friendly.

The staff and breakfast were excellent but the condition of the rooms was awful. I knew it was a pet friendly hotel and i have a dog myself (who didn't come with me on the trip) but the room conditions were disgusting. There was black sticky mess on the walls. 2 inchs of dirt caked against the air conditioner. Dead centipedes under the sink. The bottom of the shower curtian was stained red from fungus. The air conditioner smelled straight like pet dander. We made the mistake of letting my son run around barefoot for a half hour and his feet were black in just that short amount of time.

My room was reserved through hotels.com, I paid $50 online and had receipt showing I would pay the balance at the hotel. But upon checking in, they charged me the full price and said I had to get the $50 refund from hotels.com. Also the comforter was dirty, and the room was quite different than how it looked online, very disappointed in this stay.

We had a king size bed room. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the room had everything that we needed. The cons were: the bathroom is very small, there was a clump of hair in the tub drain. Other than that the room was nice. The continental breakfast bar in the morning was very crowded the 2 days we stayed, other guests were greedy with the food so we only went one time and went to breakfast elsewhere after that. The pool was nice, it’s heated. I loved it.

Good location, but definitely not clean. The bathroom was dirty, we all wore shoes in the shower. Lots of short dark hairs in the tub. Corners do bathroom floor were caked in grime. Moldings were all covered in dust and old dirt. I can only imagine how filthy the dark carpet must have been. Pool was nice but it felt about 100 degrees in there. (Not fun in summer when it’s 80 outside)

I was traveling for work, but the internet was so slow, I could not get any work done from the room. I had to go elsewhere for file uploads, etc. I could not even scroll social media without data hiccoughs. Also not pleased that the curtains completely covered the air conditioner/heater unit, and as a woman traveling alone in a room on the first floor, I had the curtains closed shut. The room was very stale.

The bed was super comfortable! The walls are very thin there, the pictures in the rooms are crooked. Doesn’t sound like much until you realize there was some quick updates and honestly not done well. The room on the first floor smelled damp. We had to air it out.

Suggested Improvements: 1) The rooms are definitely aging and could use a lick of paint. 2) They don’t have USB ports in the room. So don’t forget your charger brick. 3) I want a smart TV. They are so cheap these days. I don’t watch cable and commercials. Somehow there were hundreds of channels and nothing I wanted to watch.

We fully enjoyed our stay at this Baymont. You can tell the property is older, but everything was in good shape and things like the paint and flooring look like they've been redone recently. Our room, bathroom area, heat/AC, and everything functioned just fine. Pool and hot tub were great! Hot tub is large, strong jets, very warm. Breakfast was also great- a TON of choices include quite a bit of hot food including eggs, chorizo, and more. For a budget hotel, this was a great stay! Recommended.

We came at 12:10. He said that we could check back at 2:30. I asked if we could wait at the pool. He refused. He said there’s a restaurant next door, I asked if he could call us if a room became available, he refused. Meanwhile housekeeping staff was on their phones and eating snow cones. All the rooms checked out by 11, I’m sure some much earlier. This is not hospitality, make an effort.

We ended up not staying because of the women behind the desk, after her very rude demour from the start, ended up calling me and idiot & she kept shrugging her shoulders at me with full on attitude and then crossed her arms and said oh well not my problem. I even told her mam I think that we are not understanding each other and she continued to say no your an idiot and I'm explaining myself just fine. After trying to get a refund from hotels.Com as well as BayMount I was denied FROM THE WOMEN THAT CAUSED IT all. Not sure how that makes sense to ask the person that acted in such a manner to refund the customer that didn't end up staying because of the way she was speaking and acting. I normally never have an issue with this hotel. This women was horrible and I will never stay again. Nor use hotels. Com due to the lack of help in getting my money back for a stay that didn't happen.

The shower was designed for handicapped people. The shower drain was slow, so the water flooded the entire bathroom. My stay was very strange from start to finish. After checking in, the door to my room seemed to have issues. On the second day, The door battery died, and my dog was locked in there. The key wasn’t the issue, the door locking device was dead bolted shut. The front desk was less than enthusiastic deck to help with the situation and said maintenance wouldn’t be in until the following day. In a panic, I’m in the hallway screaming at this point, trying to get the door to open. Thankfully, I remembered it was warm the night prior in the room so I cracked the window. I stayed on the first floor and ran outside to climb through the window To retrieve my dog and my belongings. The front desk called And asked if I made it through the window OK? Would I like to come down and change rooms? DUH!!!!! Or else I’ll be climbing through the window to come and go??? Jeez….. she was not very helpful and when someone got there before me To check in at the desk, I just asked for a towel and a roll of toilet paper for the new room which weren’t there and she begins to say sure after I’m done here and Begins an entire checkout process before just turning around to give me what I needed after knowing what I just went through. Rooms were OK on cleanliness. Average. I also booked through Expedia and called prior and was told there were no pet fees but then when I got there, they charged me an additional $30 per night and I stayed 2 nights so that was an additional $60. Never rectified the situation.

Although there is no elevator at this property, we love to stay here when visiting Grand Haven. It’s clean, close to downtown where you will find all of the shopping, restaurants, and entertainment, but also very close to the water and beach! They have an easy accessible parking lot and WONDERFUL and friendly staff who are more than welcome to help you with anything that you need. The continental breakfast is an added bonus with hot and cold options that changed each morning. The hot tub and pool are clean and they have adult hours every evening which is really nice for some quiet time. All in all, if you don’t mind a few stairs or paying a few bucks extra for the first floor this is a GREAT choice while staying in Grand Haven. Especially if you don’t have a larger group of people to rent an Air BnB and are looking to skip all those ridiculous fees that they charge.

Consistent service throughout the years. You know what to expect each time. Not walkable to anything because of the avenue and lack of sidewalk access, but parking is good. Plenty of fast food restaurants nearby. The breakfast is decent and the eating area is clean. Good size pool. The place tends to be quiet. Will stay again if the price is right.

The GOOD: The bed was Crisp, White, and Clean and Comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. Kudos to house keeping!!!! (give a raise $$$) Dining area was clean, and the cook was very attentive at each breakfast. Selection was normal for Hotel Buffet. The BAD: The room was Musty and Damp on arrival, but cleared in about 12 hours. The AC was loud and clunky at first, but MUCH more tolerable day 2. The UGLY: Front Desk, Stairwell look like a show on HOARDERS. Cluttered and very non-professional for a Wyndham brand. The NASTY: The Orange Juice for breakfast is "BROWN" and seal small containers with worthy expiration of November 2025. BUT processed cheap no name brand. So it got a GOOD, because it could be SO much better.

One of the nicest hotels we’ve stayed in for sometime, lovely homely breakfast room with lots of choices, with every day a cooked breakfast, even an automatic pancake making machine, just press button & watch it being made. Spotless room good bed with nice bedding lovely towels.

close to the beach. the staff in the morning is not as friendly as the one in the evening. it seemed like he cant be bothered. had to ask 2x before maintenance can come and unclog the toilet. maintenance guy should at least be in a uniform or have identification - just looks more professional. i suggest breakfast time be extended to at least until 10 or 1030 on friday to sunday especially with very limited seating space.

We were in town visiting family for four days. Liked the different breakfast entree all four days. Pool was great. Cant tell you how many hotel's we've stayed in with "indoor heated pool" that was so cold you couldn't swim in it. This one was perfect. Pool was warm and hot tub was hot. Room was average size. Room and hotel were clean. We would definitely stay again.

First off all, when we got to our room, the lock would not work right and would not lock. So, we walked downstairs to the front desk and told a guy who worked there. He said he would tell the maintenance guy. Later when we left to go eat, I asked if he told the maintenance guy and he said yes and assured us that it would be taken care of. To make a long story short, the lock still was not fixed by the time we left on Sunday. Our belongings were unsecured the whole time. We thought it would be taken care of the same day we reported it. Also Saturday night, around 12:10 am we get a call on the room phone.It rang a couple times but we were too tired to answer. Three minutes later, we get a knock at the door and he kept knocking.We asked who it was and he said “DoorDash”. We told him that we did not order anything.Why are they letting people go up to our room without our permission?

Check in is at 4:00. Most hotels are at 3. I got there at 1:00 on a Tuesday when they weren't busy. In the old days, if a hotel had a room available, they would just let you check in early afternoon. Not Baymont. $30.00 early check in fee. So I paid it. Then, it's a $100 deposit for amenities. Most hotels are $50. They screwed up and charged my card 2 $100, ($200). A week later the $200 is showing up in my account as pending. So still not available. I won't stay at Baymont again for these reasons. The room was ok and the breakfast was ok. No complaints there.
