Check-in was seamless, it was a nice place to stay...but it would have been nice if the parking lot had been plowed and the entry/exit at the road was plowed up and cleaner to enter/exit.

Friendly staff. We were told about the Stay, Park, and Fly program. It was a great option for us. Plus they offer 24-hour shuttle service to the airport.

Good, clean hotel. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Free shuttle to and from the Grand Rapids airport, although I didn't require that. Breakfast was continental and didn't include eggs, bacon or sausages. No pool or whirlpool either. I would actually stay there again due to the reasonable cost, cleanliness and convenient location.

Stayed overnight before early flight from Grand Rapids airport the next day. A vehicle alarm kept going off through out the night. Hotel offers long term parking for travellers. Staff double as shuttle service drivers to the airport, so they were not always at the front desk. In room phones did not work.

For the price, this property is difficult to beat. The rooms are very unique. Our room with 2 beds was clean and had the bathroom in the middle of the room, giving privacy to both of the sides of the room with beds. There were 2 TVs as well to accommodate the split room. The breakfast was just ok, but considering the price, amazing that it was included. The big downside for us was that we needed to wash clothing, and it wasn't until we were putting the clothes in the only dryer that we found out it wouldn't work. As it was really late, we had to wait until morning and then take them to a laundromat to finish drying them. This was an inconvenience, but we would risk it again for the price.

I had a great experience… except I thought their shuttle to and from airport was free. They were charging $15 per person. I ended up walking 1 hour and taking the # 27 bus for $1.74. I would still stay there again though, as their cost per night was within my budget.

I got bedbug bite first night and left with a swollen arm, I sent.the msg to manager complaint the situation, you know what, they don't answer me. The property was conveniently located near the Grand Rapids Airport and a lot of food places. The room was spacious. The room appeared to be clean, but when I looked on the floor beside the bed there was a "twist tie" and what I assume was a vape. I picked it up with a tissue and threw it away.

This is an Econolodge. I didn’t expect luxury. It was conveniently located, quiet and fine for a solo person staying a few nights. It was, however, shabby and not very clean. The hallway and stair carpets weren’t vacuumed; I walked past the same debris and visible dirt on them every day. There were stains of liquids on the room walls that a few wipes with a Magic Eraser sponge would have removed. Sills and baseboard trim had noticeable dust, and the upholstery on the room furniture was stained to the point where I put towels on it before sitting. The staff seemed always to be watching TV or just sitting around, so that during busy breakfast times, the dining area ran out of coffee, and tables weren’t wiped. The apple juice dispenser dispensed only water, even on the second day after I’d alerted the desk. Another guest commented that there was no jam or jelly or peanut butter, so the only option for toast spread was butter or cream cheese. A number of the hanging and potted plants at the entrance were dead or dying. If the staff of owners put in a small amount of effort (vacuum the stairs and hallway carpets daily, wipe the walls, touch up scraped trim paint, water the plants, wipe down tables, supply jam and keep coffee refilled during breakfast), this econolodge would be charming. I hope they will take this to heart.

Not impressed. Checked into room and everything looked good at first. Realized after I was fully unpacked and had been there a while, that the bathroom ceiling in the shower had black mold. Vents were also filthy, and room had paint chipping from trim, which was all over the flooring. I mentioned the mold to the front desk and was told that issues must be reported in the first fifteen minutes. I was stuck with that room as I was in town for business and couldn’t leave. Also had a very hard time sleeping due to noise. Walls are thin and I could hear walking around in the room above me all night. Not impressed.

I choose this as a late notice economically friendly place to spend the night. The light switch in three first bedroom did not work. Neither did the blow dryer. The front desk did not have extra conveniences for guests like tooth brushes and paste. The tub was dirty. The bathroom ceiling had black water spots. I've been to better and worse hotels. I got a room with two queen beds and i liked the layout! The room was designed to feel like 2 separate bedrooms, though there were no bedroom doors

This hotel felt remarkably clean when we arrived. I even dropped my hair tie behind the night stand in the room and when I moved it to retrieve my hair tie, I was surprised how clean it was. We got there late, went right to bed and were up by 5 a.m. for our early flight. However, my daughter said to me "you have black spiders on your pillow" which unfortunately were bed bugs! Two were running across my pillow. When I confronted the front desk agent with my photos, he didn't apologize or seem surprised, and asked to take a photo of my pictures so "they would believe him." I have asked for a full refund and been blown off. I really hate to write this review, but I'm frustrated it's been nearly a month and still no resolution. You are warned!

The EconoLodge was great. Check in and out were super easy. The room was enormous and cheap. The hotel is well located to both go do anything in Grand Rapids as well as easy to leave and get on the highway from. The facilities were all up to date, clean, and very spacious. Only complaint would be the wifi is slightly slow but the cell signal is good enough it isn’t really needed. Would recommend and will likely return as well!

This a good place to stay for the budget hotel, clean nice size room with separate living room from bedroom, two TV’s, good hot water pressure, small sink by mini fridge microwave, plenty of cable channels, adequate continental breakfast and area to eat. Spent 2 nights, easy check in nice hosts, would stay again if in the area. 5 stars for this budget hotel.

I find the high rating (8.3 as of my booking) for this property surprising. The wifi was abysmal and dropped out frequently. The shower head was broken and stuck on a barely usable setting. My room key stopped functioning after one day and had to be reset. All in all each was a little annoyance, but they added up to a subpar experience. The staff I interacted with were, however, very friendly.

I lobed the layout and sesign of the room. But that faded pretty fast when we fuyured out the A/C didnt work. So we had to sleep in a 81° room all night. And it was humid as all get out that night.

All in all ok for the price, however rooms could use a refresh, particularly replace all the trim, or at least paint it, and oil ALL door hinges. Sofas are fair. Breakfast could be better but there are restaurants nearby. Staff is great, housekeeping is super helpful!

I called ahead letting them know I would be checking in between 12:30-1am. They said no problem. I arrive at 12:35am to the front door open & a note on the front desk saying they would be right back & here is an emergency number if you need assistance. I waited 10 mins, called, said he’s helping another customer & he’ll be a while. Please sit on the couch & wait. This is an Econolodge. I didn’t expect luxury. It was conveniently located, quiet and fine for a solo person staying a few nights. It was, however, shabby and not very clean. The hallway and stair carpets weren’t vacuumed; I walked past the same debris and visible dirt on them every day. There were stains of liquids on the room walls that a few wipes with a Magic Eraser sponge would have removed. Sills and baseboard trim had noticeable dust, and the upholstery on the room furniture was stained to the point where I put towels on it before sitting. The staff seemed always to be watching TV or just sitting around, so that during busy breakfast times, the dining area ran out of coffee, and tables weren’t wiped. The apple juice dispenser dispensed only water, even on the second day after I’d alerted the desk. Another guest commented that there was no jam or jelly or peanut butter, so the only option for toast spread was butter or cream cheese. A number of the hanging and potted plants at the entrance were dead or dying. If the staff of owners put in a small amount of effort (vacuum the stairs and hallway carpets daily, wipe the walls, touch up scraped trim paint, water the plants, wipe down tables, supply jam and keep coffee refilled during breakfast), this econolodge would be charming. I hope they will take this to heart.

This hotel was a favorite when our boys were in college. Unfortunately this trip did not meet up to those fond memories. Difficulties with check-in , a new ( to me) $80 hold fee,leftovers in our fridge , no tissue but the worst was hearing every little sound from above us. Which I was I am awake at 4am writing this . With as many hotels Grand Rapids offers, you can do better than this based on my experience.

My stay at this hotel was very pleasant. The hotel is in a great location not too far from restaurants and shopping. We stayed 2 nights. The room was clean and the bed slept well. Check in was a breeze. Breakfast was included in the stay. The only thing that i have a complaint about is the housekeeper. I asked for 2 sets of towels, and she only gave me 1 set. My daughter and I occupied a room. The housekeeper had an attitude because i asked for 2 sets of towels. I didn’t understand why i couldn’t have what i asked for, but it worked out. I just took an extra set off of her cart. Overall… my stay was very pleasant.

The staff is so nice. They have done a lot of updates. Bathroom could use an update but it was clean and the shower was good. New floors and bed. Had a small living room with the king size bed. The price was just right too. Super close to so many things. Great for the baseball tournament in the Grand Rapids area.

I am so happy Hotels.com recommend this place. I was struggling finding an amazing hotel in area of the airport that wouldn't break the bank and was also a clean place to stay, and I am so thankful this hotel was here. The prices were amazing, the staff is amazing, my room is clean and it's walking distance to get food. I would definitely recommend 10/10 to anyone.

The hotel itself was nice. Staff was responsive. BUT it was a Saturday night and it's close to, apparently, a rockin' bar. . .my room was on the side closest to the bar and the BASS was thumping until 1:00am. . .Again, the staff tried finding the noise until I said it was coming from the bar and there was nothing they could do. Maybe it's quieter during the week but I wouldn't stay here again on a Friday/Saturday night. .

Good, clean hotel. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Free shuttle to and from the Grand Rapids airport, although I didn't require that. Breakfast was continental and didn't include eggs, bacon or sausages. No pool or whirlpool either. I would actually stay there again due to the reasonable cost, cleanliness and convenient location.

Breakfast was terrible, no waffle mix, when asked she said there was some in there just very slow to come out???? Like a hour! No tea (coffee only) no juice and when asked she said sorry we don’t have any? Room for as ok. For the price expected more!

Stayed here four times in the last 3 months…first stay the breakfast options were very limited, cereal, bagels, so since then I’ve just gone out. First stay mattress was new and great! All other times bed was ok, always good pillows.

The person at the desk was very unhelpful. I had to wait a half hour or more each day to get into my room because the card would not work. After working all day all I wanted was to shower and go to bed but had to wait. Very frustrating. There was no coffee on the morning because they let select few people clean it out before others can get it. Ask for them not to clean my room but People were in my room and my things were gone through.

I recommend this hotel if you are looking for a bargain place to stay in the Grand Rapids area. You have to have some patience, as it is an older Hotel and they are doing their best to upgrade it and maintain it. They may need a better maintenance staff, but they are very gracious and helpful. There will be things that don’t work quite right, but I can live with that. For me to have access to Grand Rapids with an a 10 or 12 minute drive it’s worth all of it. If you are not super fussy and you just need a place to yourself to crash for a while. It’s perfectly fine. I feel safe and a family run business.

The room was old and definitely had some areas not cleaned. The lobby smelled like the staff was smoking weed in it. There was a bat in the wall or behind our bed that squeaked from 3 am on and we didn’t dare go to sleep. Definitely would not go back.
