Fairfield by Marriott Inn & Suites Grand Rapids Airport

Check in lady was too busy talking to her mom to help us with our questions and or suggestions for dinner. No bottles of water was offered. The property, floors etc needed a good vacuum and floor cleaning. Including the elevator. The pool was closed for maintenance and remained so for our two day stay. The room was okay until I went to use the bathroom. I noticed right away the toilet seat was up and not sure what was all over it when lowered. Luckily I carry thieves with me so I proceeded to clean the toilet and the floor around it. As I was getting ready for bed I noticed a hair on a pillow. I tossed it on the floor and sprayed the bed, sheets, pillows with my thieves. Thankfully I had brought socks so I wore them as to not walk on the carpet. Next day, breakfast was adequate at best. I went to the front desk lady and requested my bathroom be cleaned and to remove the hairy pillow case. I was told and I quote, with an attitude, “I’ll bring it up the request to housekeeping management. It’s up to them. The room isn’t cleaned unless you stay for three or more days.” I repeated I’m not asking for the whole room but only the bathroom. She then repeated back, she’ll take the request to management. Not accommodating at all and seemed to careless about the dirty bathroom and how I had cleaned it. No apologies! No nothing! Rude! Of course I came back that evening and the room was as I had left it. Trashy place and rude personnel. DO NOT STAY!

Front desk was accomendating!! I came down for coffee at 9 and breakfast was full of everything; came back at 9:50 (10 min before shutting down) and no yogurt, egg sandwhiches, enough scrambled eggs for my wife and I. I get it, close to closing but there were a quite a bit that slept in for a concert the night before and was expecting descent breakfast at 945ish.

Room was clean . Staff wasn't friendly.She was talking to someone on her phone . I didn't feel welcome .

Great stay! Our kids loved it!

My experience staying at your hotel was very good. Would definitely stay there again. My room was very clean and the staff was very nice.
