The staff was very nice and helpful. We took the kids to the pool and hot tub. The pool was heated and they had a supply of life jackets (for children) and goggles for use in their pool. There was plenty of seats and towels on every bench. There was table to sit at while you watched your kids. The outside area was very nice and had a gas grill if you wanted to grill as well as a couple hammocks. They had a vending machine with snacks including ramen bowls and a pop vending machine. There was a washer dryer set to do laundry as well. The room was very clean with a small microwave and fridge. If I had to stay here again I would!!!

We specifically picked this property because of the fold out couch, pool and breakfast. The fold out couch we never used-the mattress was awful and you could feel the springs. Tried to use the pool the first night and it was closed due to service and did not open until after 10. The second day the pool heater was not working. Felt like lake water. Hot tub was the same. Breakfast was not maintained: ran out of everything and I was not kept up with: dinning area too small for the amount of guest. Ice machine was also broke the whole time. Would never come back

Reasonable priced and in a good location. The indoor pool and jacuzzibare great! The rooms are a little dated and the carpet stained as well as the coach, all lamps need a bulb to be replaced, the emergency door was broken open, the rear parking is unsightly with cargo containers, continental breakfast was ok. The best part is the ice cream popsicles they sell! Sooo yummy! A bit pricy but worth it, we'll definitely come back again just because if those treats.

The White Pines Inn & Suites in Holland Michigan is an easy to find, convenient, clean, comfortable place to stay. The outdoor patio is very nice and comfortable and I would like to stay longer next time I visit.

building is in some need of repairs our ac unit was loud and no ice machines are working but everything was clean and the staff was very nice pool and hot tube was excellent

We liked that it was safe, quiet, and had a spacious room, comfortable bed, hot water for shower, nice indoor pool and hot tub, good breakfast and coffee. We didn’t like that the keys hardly worked, ice machines didn’t work (but mgmt had ice behind desk), and our toilet wouldn’t flush (but mgmt fixed it quickly).

This hotel needs some help. It looks like it was a fantastic property at one point but many things were listed “out of service.” The pool area was very nice as well as quality of mattress but that’s it. There were several broken things in our room. The breakfast was the saddest display of complimentary breakfast I have ever seen (sausage links, bagels without cream cheese, 2 types of cheerios and a little milk, and coffee). Staff were friendly but seemed a little frazzled

We made a last minute, one night booking while on a trip. Everything went smoothly with check-in. Didn't have a chance to use the pool or gym. Free breakfast was fine for the cost. My only concern is that the AC was definitely leaking moisture into the room. The carpet was wet when we woke up. I can only think about the risk of mold and structural damage.

The cleanliness was awful. The most disgusting part was our feet turned black from walking on the carpet. We also found a long fake fingernail along with mold/dirt on the bathroom floor. The spicket on the tub was hanging off and the closet door wouldn’t open/close. I told staff at check out and was told she would let her manger know and I haven’t heard back to date. The pool and lobby were well maintained

I officially no longer trust reviews on this website. This place had a pretty decent user rating. But my room was filthy, disgusting honestly. Stains on the sheets. Stains on the couch. A hole in the bathroom door. The tub was DIRTY and still wet, and moldy. Bathroom tiles had grime in them. The tub itself had mold in the jacuzzi jets. Absolutely did not use it. Paint chipping off the bathroom walls. Since it was one night and late when I got in, I just went to sleep and didn’t bother trying to raise an issue. I would have paid the extra $50 to stay next door if I’d known it would be so gross.

The hotel wasn’t clean whatsoever. Checked the mattress.. there was blood on the mattress pad. I’m assuming none of the linens were changed since there was blood left on the mattress pad and covered with a bottom sheet. Bathrooms were disgusting. There was a walkie talkie left in the bathroom from house keeping. Garbages were not changed. They gave us another room, but the disgust was already overwhelming, wanted to change hotels but all were full around us.

The property is in need of a major upgrade. Our room smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. The jacuzzi didn’t work at all. The room was kind of dirty. The door to the bathroom had a hole in it from what looked like someone punched it. The bathroom had mold on the wall next to the broken jacuzzi. The bed was hard and sunken in.

Lots of noise from room above us, we were on 2. Ice machine was broke, they later went and got bags. 1st impression was very wrinkled bedding. Breakfast bar was very lacking 2 apples, we ate breakfast and still waffle mix was empty after asking employee about it. Dirty tables. Good location

On first impression room is spacious but then you notice the food debris along one side of the bed base that hasnt been hoovered up. The main light is missing with wires hanging out of the ceiling. No working extractor fan in the bathroom & it smells damp & mouldy. Reported the above to reception & the guy on his own advised housekeeping had gone for the day. He was busy & seemed stressed as lots of guests checking in & he couldn’t deal with our problems. In the end i asked for a hoover & cleaned the mess up myself but it shouldn't have been like that, a bit of attention to detail & giving your guests a comfortable stay is not hard! Spoke to a woman on reception before we checked out to let her know we had complained to Hotels.com & they were trying to get in touch for a refund. There was no apology offered, all she did was make excuses about why the light wasn't there like that was an acceptable answer or resolution. The bed wasn't comfortable & the room was hot. We did put the air con on but it smelt mouldy so we turned it off & opened the window. Breakfast wasn't brilliant either, not a lot of seats or options. This hotel could be so much better if they took the comments on board, made some improvements & actually delivered a caring service with staff that can clean properly. Also don't give every review the same bog standard response!!

We reserved a room with the fireplace and the fireplace doesn’t work. I went downstairs and asked the clerk if the fireplace works and my response was no. No apology was offered just answered the question with no. It would’ve been nice to have been informed prior to our stay that the fireplace was inoperable. Multiple stains on the carpet And on the furniture. For this to be a luxury suite, I could not find the luxury at all in the suite. In the bathroom was one roll of toilet paper and a partially used role. Also, there was Kleenex offered however there was only one tissue in the box. After going down to the clerk multiple times to retrieve items needed for my stay I felt like I was an employee by the end of my visit.

On a whim we grabbed a room here for a night just for fun. The good: The fireplace worked. The king size bed was decently comfortable. The suite was spacious. The hot tub and pool worked and we enjoyed it. It met our needs, which were to spend some time together. The bad: Key cards weren't working, like in the entire hotel so the poor desk guy had to literally break into our room with a special rod (which is a little disconcerting how easy it was). If we were to leave we had to leave it propped open. Neither TV worked. Remotes were entirely non-functional and the screens were grimy. The refrigerator was actively defrosting and leaking all over the floor. The bathub/shower was weirdly concave making it uncomfortable to stand. Anyone unstable would have a hard time of it.

We had 2 rooms on 3rd floor. The hall was mostly quiet in the night and morning times. Good. The beds were comfy and clean. Great. The check-in was generally fast. Good. Parking was available. Great. Only one entrance so parking could include a walk. Average. The shower tub drains were slow (creating a small pool). Poor. The AC worked fine (a bit noisy). Good. The towels were sparse (had to ask for more). Bad. The tower racks were loose. Bad. The breakfast was on par with higher priced properties. Good. The facilities is not fresh but serviceable. Overall Good.

Room was recently renovated. Furniture was nice. Phone was not hooked. Tv was not sinked up with remote and remote didnt correspond with tv. No channel listings in room or to operate the tv. Pool and hot tub were down the first day there. Had to ask for extra towels first night. They didnt clean the room the entire stay so we set the small waste basket in the hallway to get it emptied.

The room was pretty clean, only gave us one set of towels, no shampoo but 2 conditioners, pool was nice, bed was super hard, we got put into a room that was right next to the stairs so we could hear all of the people in the lobby so that wasn’t that fun, but other than that it was an alright stay, can’t really beat the price

The staff was great. The location was easy to get to and close to the cute town of Holland. The room itself was a good size. There was a small kitchenette. What didn’t make sense to us was: there were no plates, utensils or containers to use in the kitchenette. The room was extremely outdated and tired, hanging on by a thread. The microwave was so weak it took a full five minutes just to warm water. We had to go across the street to buy a couple of bowls and cups as we were traveling with work and didn’t plan to eat at restaurants the entire time. We chose to leave a day early but were not reimbursed for the one fewer day. Not a big deal as we made the choice to leave early. That said, it was affordable and the linens were clean.

The desk staff was great and more embarrassed than anything but unfortunately the cleaning crew left for the day without cleaning some of the rooms. The desk staff sent me to 3 different rooms before I got one that had been cleaned. The first 2 rooms were in the process of being cleaned but not finished and the third room had not been touched at all by housekeeping. Poor communication by the cleaning crew to the desk staff. Otherwise our stay was nice.

Customer Service was terrible and they did not care about their customers. The continental breakfast was HORRIBLE!!! They ran out of everything and when asked to refill the person in charge did not care and said they ran out and breakfast was over in 30 minutes anyway. The pool was filthy. It was not clean and you could see all the dirt in it. My rooms air conditioner barely worked and the linen smelled. No staff member seamed to care. I will never go back!

Check-in went well and we headed to our room. The first thing I noticed was the carpet did not look like it had been swept. The bed was definitely changed and fresh/clean. However, we then noticed there was used soap in the shower and take-out in the fridge. I approached the front desk with kindness, and they were more than accommodating, offering us a different room. They were very apologetic and handled it very well. The overall hotel and rooms were dated, but once we were given the new room, I have no major complaints.

So many problems! The door keys kept failing So, I had to return to the desk multiple times. The TV wouldn’t work. ( 2x) And no one answered the phones at reception, so, I had to return to the desk. There wasn’t a hair dryer in my room. No one answered the phone, so I had to return to the desk. Then getting me a hair dryer was forgotten. No one answered the phone at the desk, so, I had to return to the desk. The breakfast, the last morning, ran out because the lady running the desk was also trying to put out the breakfast. I understood that the housekeeping was only every 3 days…. I realize everyone is having difficulty in staffing now. This is a nice hotel and I have stayed there before. Very sad to have so many problems.

Great location for traveling to Holland and the surroundings area. Not far from downtown and an easy commute there. Every big name and chain store, restaurant, fast food, you name it is within a mile or two. It’s nice being a service road to the side of US-31 making traveling too and from anywhere easy. Hotel was nice on the inside, everything felt updated within the last 10 years except the actual rooms but they were still great. Bigger tv than most hotels and was centered with the bed. All rooms on the first floor do have doors to the outside however, so if that’s something you don’t want try requesting a second or third floor room. It did make it easy for unloading and loading the car but we tried not to use it otherwise to keep the deadbolt locked. The rooms in the back are nice because it’s just trees back there so it feels more secluded with having a door directly to the outside. Our outside door wasn’t fully insulated and some light was leaking through which was unfortunate. Also, probably just the nature of having a door directly to the outside but there was some dirt and grass and such slightly built up around the door on the inside. Breakfast was good with some decent options, coffee machine was the best one I’ve seen at a hotel. It’s understandable showing up within 30 minutes of it closing to not have as many options on the hot/cooked options but things like yogurt and milk for cereal should always be stocked for when those things run out. Overall a great stay!

Check in was quick, the woman at the front desk was very helpful with activities in the area. Room was clean and comfortable. My kids enjoyed the pool and I really enjoyed the hot tub. The breakfast was good as well, not the best I’ve seen, but they had waffles and that’s all that mattered to my kids. Overall we had a great stay!!! Would definitely stay again if coming back to the area.

The only problem we had was breakfast. Very poorly organized. Most of the time there was nothing left and nobody was there to help. Desk clerk was trying to do both jobs. Not good for business. Tables were not cleaned at all so if you wanted to eat there you had to clean your own table.

King bed needs updating. Medium firm bed that wasn't uncomfortable, probably 20 years old though. Walls weren't thin but were not thick. I used ear plugs to sleep, never use them at home. Breakfast did not stay stocked, had to request most items since majority of breakfast items were unavailable.

The property was clean and the staff was good. Unfortunately I don't think the "breakfast included"stands. Oddly, the breakfast was a "cold" one with a piece of paper taped over the breakfast sign. Only dry cereal, no milk left, coffee machine was broken.Perhaps two off days, hard to know. We had 2 rooms.The bathroom in the room has only passive ventilation so the whole room was humid after one taking a shower. Probably would have been worth to pay the extra $20-30 per room elsewhere to get a standard/regular service.

The room was clean but overall the hotel was just okay. The hotel is very run down and desperately needs a face lift. We were very disappointed in the breakfast provided as well. The offering were slim, stale and out of stock. We ended up having to grab breakfast out both days.

Breakfast was supposed to run until 9am, we arrived around 8:30am and just about everything was GONE. Hot eggs and breakfast meats were gone, milk for cereal was gone, no fruit, very little plain white bread (no bagels left), and the only thing left in the fridge was Trix yogurt cups - but there weren’t even any spoons left to eat the yogurt. I was highly disappointed by this. I understand breakfast ends at 9, but that means breakfast continues until 9… not everything runs out 30 minutes early and nothing is refilled. Other than that, the stay was average. Decently clean rooms. Our bathroom smelled musty. Nothing extraordinary. I would stay again for the price, but I would look for availability elsewhere first.

The room smelt musty. Last night i was woken at 1:30an to very loud music that rattled the walls, people were very loud, kids running up znd down and down the hall. We were right by the steps on the 2nd floor. The registration desk/ office was right by the steps. 100% sure everyone could hear the music. And 0 breakfast was out.
