Property was ok. Some peeling wallpaper in my room. One of the elevators was messed up. Lots of people wouldn't trust it so we all crowded into the other one. Public spaces needed some cleaning. Amenities were good. Breakfast was fine and exactly what you'd expect. Check-in was easy.

Both elevators were down during our whole stay. The Television did not work during the whole stay. Out of shampoo. I had to go get it. The hospitality was good and the breakfast was good. The common area and rooms were clean.

Overall great experience. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the pool was nice, and the free breakfast was very good. We couldn’t believe all of the breakfast options: scrambled eggs, waffles (with a great variety of toppings) canadian bacon, bagels, yogurt, muffins, cereal, fruit, oatmeal (brown sugar, dried cherries, and walnut topping options), coffee, juice, and tea! Great hotel to stay at if you are in the area.

Place was good for a girls trip to cranbrook amd ferndale funky fair. Breakfast was the usual hotel fair of eggs and meat side of some sort plus waffles, oatmeal, cereals, fruits, juices, etc. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Gym was fine. Overall, hotel could use an update but would stay again.

Everything was great but toilet in room was very small. My parents are elderly and had hard time getting up and down. It was not a standard height toilet but otherwise the facility, pool, breakfast, and staff were all great! Will stay again but pls put in standard toilets.

The breakfast attendant was amazing.They even had omelets!! There is a different style of breakfast.Each day so we were able to still make waffles.Each day too. Everything was very clean and well take care of. Hotel front office staff were also very polite and welcoming. This was by far one of the better experiences of a hotel that i've ever had. The room was very clean.The hotel staff did say they're starting a remodel, but everything was clean and tidy.All the housekeeping staff are also very polite. I would definitely recommend this location and when I travel to see family, I would stay at this location again.A hundred percent.

The bathroom door didn’t close unless you pulled really hard, there’s no proper ventilation in the bathroom so there’s mold on the ceiling. The room itself is fine but the bathroom needs proper ventilation and a door replacement.

The afternoon/evening staff was very helpful and accommodating when we realized the booking was misleading, and again when we pulled out the pull out bed, and found a bare mattress. They were quick to bring up the bedding. Not enough pillows, and there was mold in the freezer of the mini fridge, and a slightly run down bathroom with mold and lots of dust on the bathroom fan, that did not work. Comfy bed and very friendly staff. Good breakfast as well

Best thing about the stay was the sleep...was it the bed? Maybe....was it the quietness of the the hotel location? Maybe... Though the condition of the hotel was a little rough in spots, it served the purpose and we rested well.

The service were very kind and welcoming, but at 9 AM on the day of our departure, one of the housekeepers entered the room without checking to see if anyone was still in there and scared us half to death. Unfortunately as well, the air conditioner in our room made very odd, loud sounds throughout the night, the ceiling in the bathroom was peeling, the bed was egregiously loud even if adjusting slightly in one’s sleep, and the shower made a loud wailing sound for the first few minutes it was on. I was very disappointed in this stay and will not be staying here again.

Pros -The staff is super friendly and the shower was hot, was right on the road I needed to travel. Cons - bed was hard, the property and rooms are outdated, dirty looking and borderline gross. This property needs a good refurb and soon. Breakfast area is small.

Paint was peeling in the bathroom and the walls are paper thin, could hear people talking/yelling and TVs going all night long. Also, the TV kept glitching and going black sporadically. I usually like Hilton hotels, but this one seemed incredibly run down and not great value.

Our stay was very nice. Quiet, clean, comfortable, with good breakfast. The staff handled a large group of football families in town for an event with ease & professionalism. I was impressed with every staff member we encountered, including the maintenence man, the breakfast attendant, house keeping & front desk.

My only complaint is housekeeping did not clean room between thr first and second night of our stay. They also did not answer their phone when we wanted additional towels for the room.

The staff was excellant. I stayed for 4 nights while a relative was hospitalized at Corewell. The staff was very accommodating and knowledgeable. The breakfast area had everything anyone would of wanted and area was very clean. Only negative was these workers deserve to have their place of employment needs a good updating.

I would definitely recommend this location and when I travel to see family, I would stay at this location again.A hundred percent.

The hotel served its purpose. We needed to be there for one night to attend a funeral. The location was perfect. The building needs some upkeep but the place was pretty clean. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was really good.

As usual, everything was up to the usual Hampton Inn standards. Quick check in. Clean room. Etc Until we went to breakfast. Apparently at this hotel, 10am means 930am, as that's when we got to the breakfast area, only to find no food available other than a couple pieces of fruit and some muffins. They had completely cleaned out the rest of the breakfast items (including the ability to make waffles) a full 30 minutes early. Very very disappointing, as we needed to find breakfast elsewhere.

The breakfast attendant was amazing.They even had omelets!! There is a different style of breakfast.Each day so we were able to still make waffles.Each day too. Everything was very clean and well take care of. Hotel front office staff were also very polite and welcoming. This was by far one of the better experiences of a hotel that i've ever had. Our first time in Detroit. We actually had booked a different nearby hotel, but that one was simply horrid. I have to say that Kara and Tracy went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Staying here was a blessing that we were very grateful for. We enjoyed four breakfasts as part of our stay. Very robust. Great options and different variety each day. The food service was excellent and the breakfast area although small was very well kept up. We had a small problem with our TV and the remote but staff worked tirelessly to resolve it. Something to do with the programming of the TV with our actual room number.

Hands down the worst Hampton Inn I've ever chosen. The elevators are old, slow and worn out. There's no ESPN, no sports, period and no local channels. They don't sell alcohol in the market. The breakfast was terrible(DO NOT DRINK THE APPLE JUICE). Just an awful place for Hilton amd Hampton's standards

We left a tip for housekeeping and returned to find that the tip had been taken, but our room had not actually been cleaned. The beds were still unmade, and a bottle of cleaning fluid and a used, dirty cleaning rag had been left sitting on the TV console right next to the beds. I completely understand that mistakes happen, but this felt like housekeeping had started our room, taken the tip, and then simply walked away without finishing. Leaving cleaning chemicals and a dirty rag behind was also concerning, especially since I was traveling with my children. I brought the situation to the hotel's attention, but no compensation, Hilton points, discount, or even another gesture to make it right was offered. That was probably the most disappointing part. I wasn't expecting anything unreasonable, but I did expect the hotel to acknowledge that this was not an acceptable housekeeping experience. We've stayed at many Hilton properties and generally have good experiences, but this one definitely fell short of what I expect from a Hampton Inn.
