Beautiful view of lake. Such lovely friendly & helpful staff. Rooms have fireplace & jacuzzi tub and a walkout patio! This is crazy! Adorable cafe attached to inn. Convenient grocery store across the street. Several cute shops and restaurants nearby. I do not want this place to be discovered as I want it all for myself!

Extremely helpful and sweet staff. Definitely loved this place. Only bad thing is there’s no elevator. Taking the heavy suitcases upstairs was not good on my knees. Other than that, perfect! Definitely will stay again

The Weathervane Inn was conveniently located in town and right on the water. The service was great. Only negative was there was no elevator and we were put on the second floor. Not the greatest for a retired couple with knee issues.

Overall i really like this hotel. The staff was very nice and accommodating any time i have questions. Its in a nice area as well. My main issues is the cleanlyness. I have been in 3 different rooms, and all of them were gross. One of them had food on the bed as if an employee took a break and ate on the bed. My son is one and was crawling on the floor for about 10 minutes and his knees and feet were black. Caked with dirt. I would absolutely stay here again, but theh really need to clean the carpets. Its just gross.

Basic cleanness was good. They do a good job of keeping the surfaces and floor clean, everyday. My room was in good condition. Two things I wasn't happy with. The hot tub needs a good maintenance cleaning. I flushed the jets with hot water, 3 times. Frist flush, cleaned out pubic and other hairs, and other objects. Second one, less debris. Third, totally cleaned out. Yellow mold build up around the jets. The AC/heat unit filters need cleaning filters, low flow.

We didn’t feel the room was that clean. We found someone else’s sock at the foot of our bed on the floor. We stayed three nights with the cleaning sign on our door hoping they would come in and take the trash atleast. No one came the entire time we stayed.

The pluses were the location and a decent continental breakfast. Other than that the walls were thin and you could hear everything, the staff were non attentive, and the room was not clean with pubic hairs in all the tubs, the cable tv did not work according to the book with instructions or at all.

We had an upstairs city view room. The room had a whirlpool tub- they said all their rooms do. When we filled it, dirty gunk came out of the vents.We loved the in-room fireplace. The beds were firm but nice. Everything else seemed very clean. The flavored coffee and freshly baked cookies in the lobby were amazing. Breakfast was ok. Plenty of options but no eggs & bacon. Will definitely go back! Over all clean, well maintained.

Right along the Hart-Montague Bike Trial-can go north or south. In room jacuzzi tub and fireplace were nice. Hotel breakfast was lacking much protein; mostly carbs. Hotel TV service was very complicated; to even watch just regular stations, you had to log in and type in codes, etc.

TV was internet only. NO LOCAL Channels. Small place but nice - right on the water. Breakfast had pancake machine and microwavable Jimmy Dean sandwiches, yogurt, breads and hard-boiled eggs. Great coffee! Very small parking lot on site. Additional spots across the street.

We really liked the location and staff were great. However, we had a hard time sleeping because we heard the people next to us (just casual talking and coughing), and the people above us. We also heard all of the breakfast commotion, so trying to sleep in didn't work.

I wanted to personally let you know of an experience that has left me disheartened about staying at the Weathervane Inn. My boyfriend and I were treated like second class citizens at check-in. There was a noticeable change in the attendant’s demeanor at check in. There was white couple was in front of us at check in. Even though I smiled and said hello we were not greeted with warmth or kindness like the couple before. They were guaranteed a “beautiful room” and personally given a list of things to do in the area. Me and my boyfriend were not treated as nearly as warm. We were coldly told our room number and given our keys to a room. We were asked three times if we had pets or smoked. We do not. We had to ask to change room as it overlooked the dumpster. The room we were very coldly to we could have overlooked green muck. I was so excited to come here since I’ve seen your hotel on Groupon in March. It’s saddening to think that in 2024 my boyfriend and I receive sub par treatment due to maybe the lack of diversity in your customer base. We felt very uncomfortable and won’t be returning.

Had an amazing 3 day stay at the Weathervane. I can't say enough about JJ and her team. She went over and above for me while stressing about my family wedding and some logistic issues. The rooms are very nicely appointed and we truly enjoyed our stay! Thanks again to JJ and team! She gets things done with a smile and thanks for the hug!

Property was nice. A little outdated. Balconies were a nice touch. But our toilet overflowed they came and wiped everything up nobody sanitized anything so we opted not to use the facility.. We asked for another room but they were booked. We had to go down the street to my sister's hotel to shower for our event. After several emails and phone calls no one has responded to offer us an adjustment or a free room in the future. We were disappointed because it was so inconvenient. The manager on duty said it was about her pay grade to offer any adjustment.

We arrived a couple of hours early, knowing our room may not be ready. I told her what room we were staying in. The clerk didnt offer to rush cleaning the room, or even to call when the room was ready. This is a very small town hotel, and i expected better service. I even mentioned I would be sleeping in my rental car until the room was ready. I expected more kindness, not indifference.

The location was perfect....right in the middle of where we were going.The room was very clean/spotless, the bed was reallt comfortable and the staff was wonderful. They were very on top of things. They even baked chocolate chip cookies every evening for the guests and their complimentary coffee was also delicious (Magnum Cherry coffee). I will definitely be staying there again.

We stayed at The Weathervane Inn during our family trip to Michigan's Adventure and had a great experience! I do have to note that the property is older and could use some fresh paint and upgrades in some areas, but the cleanliness and overall experience of the location was on point! The staff was also super friendly and helpful! It was a 12-minute drive from Michigan's Adventure, which was perfect and also located within walking distance of two adorable downtowns, ice cream, and the world largest weathervane, which was a cute touch that the kids loved. Overall, I would highly recommend and we will definitely be back for our next trip to Michigan's Adventure!

It was a 12-minute drive from Michigan's Adventure, which was perfect and also located within walking distance of two adorable downtowns, ice cream, and the world largest weathervane, which was a cute touch that the kids loved. Overall, I would highly recommend and we will definitely be back for our next trip to Michigan's Adventure!

Wonderful stay with my wife. Everyone was welcoming the four days we were there. Centered on the east end of White Lake between Whitehall and Montague so very close to everything in both towns. We brought our e-bikes and access to the trail from the parking lot was great. The king room was nice and spacious. Pleasure to sit on attached deck in the mornings and after being out for the day. Saw many families and older vacationers who rented the larger rooms with kitchens. Would definitely go back again.

Right along the Hart-Montague Bike Trial-can go north or south. In room jacuzzi tub and fireplace were nice. Hotel breakfast was lacking much protein; mostly carbs. Hotel TV service was very complicated; to even watch just regular stations, you had to log in and type in codes, etc.

The Weathervane Inn was conveniently located in town and right on the water. The service was great. Only negative was there was no elevator and we were put on the second floor. Not the greatest for a retired couple with knee issues.

This is such a beautiful hotel. The staff were amazing. There’s free coffee all day, breakfast is included, and there are chocolate chip cookies after 5. I’d definitely stay there again

Well beyond our highest expectations, our 1st time at THE WEATHERVANE INN was exceptionally quiet & perfectly comfortable. Our room had a beautiful fireplace surrounded by half-stone, clearly high end sheets, nice linens & generously sized soft towels for our drying pleasure post relaxation in our rooms spacious hot tub bath. Further impressed, the staff members proved 2b very personable & refreshingly knowledgeable & the convenience of having any & all amenities readily on hand (paper bowls, spoons, tissue, sugar, creamers, coffee) along with a vast, well stocked breakfast bar providing a variety of many hot dishes in addition to the usual cold choices most routinely offer & fresh snacks one may purchase behind the front desk in lue of a vending machine speaks volumes about how this place truly rises above & strives to stand out among the rest. This quaint little getaway is perfectly situated on White Lake leading into beautiful Lake Michigan where we had the pleasure of witnessing the local beaver population working on their homes, neighboring ducks & geese gliding carelessly across the cold clear blue water b4 bringing a perfect end to an absolutely amazing day with a gorgeous sunset display. Highly recommend!

We had an upstairs city view room. The room had a whirlpool tub- they said all their rooms do. When we filled it, dirty gunk came out of the vents.We loved the in-room fireplace. The beds were firm but nice. Everything else seemed very clean. The flavored coffee and freshly baked cookies in the lobby were amazing. Breakfast was ok. Plenty of options but no eggs & bacon. Will definitely go back! Over all clean, well maintained.

This is an older property, so not necessarily aesthetically pleasing, but the room was clean, staff nice, and breakfast sufficient so it was just fine for our one night stay. We were in room 102, across from the front desk, which I would not recommend. The lobby TV is mounted on the wall outside of the room door so you can hear it from early in the morning. Also, I would recommend an upper floor room because we could regularly hear the water pipe draining in the wall behind our bed. As I said, it’s an older property. Last, even though our room was large, a third of it was taken up by an awkwardly placed hot tub that we did not use but just walked around. The Hart-Montague bike trail is right next to the parking lot, which was the reason for our stay. Very convenient.

It was a nice place. Great for people with boats with the docks right behind. Nothing fancy, you eat breakfast in the hallway in front of reception desk at a little table. Staff was exceptional and I really have no complaints other than the price was much too high for this place.
