Very helpful staff. Negatives were being a 2-story building with no elevator (one guest needed an accessible path). The bar and grill on site was also closed on a Saturday night. The food truck in the parking lot only had salad, calzones and pizza.

A perfectly run hotel. The staff was welcoming, friendly and super helpful. Bed was clean and comfortable. The pool was perfect after a long day of hiking in the Pictured Rocks. And there is even some laundry machines that you can use for a bare 1,50$.

Layout for end room at top of stairs well-considered for minimal noise. Convenient pop/ice on each floor. Bar prices very reasonable and decent breakfast selection. Well run and managed. Didnt use pool or spa and wouldve liked a workout room.

I love that fact the pool & hot tub is open until 2 am and checkout for rooms was before 11 am . Breakfast was included and staff was knowledgeable about area attractions . Have stayed here several times this summer and excellent value for what I spent ! Gift shop is also nice in case you needed sweatshirts or warmer clothes.

This is a newer 2 story facility with no elevator. Did not expect to carry my luggage up a big flight of stairs after a day of climbing to see waterfalls and climbing sand dunes.

Very clean but our room on the first floor was very musty smelling. Even the carpet was wet feeling. I did complain but nothing was done about it. The front desk person said the Hotel was booked and couldn’t move us. We ended up canceling our third night.

It was “clean”, but it smelled awful with Mold. If you are sensitive to that I would not recommend. The first floor was noisy at morning and evening with people coming in and out with their doors. Place is close to all attractions.

The room was so smelly of mold and mildew that we didn't even turn the heat/air on because that even made it smell worse. This place needs a big upgrade.... Beds could at least be queen size also. Would never recommend.

Comfortable and good value. Good mattresses and linens. Unfortunately the beds were quite small for 2 to share, even 1 adult and 1 child. That said, it’s probably your best option for a decent value in the Pictured Rock area. Breakfast is included and while limited, it serves its purpose. The best part is daily maid service.

We enjoyed the cleanliness and the openness of the room. The bathroom was clean and spacious. I would have appreciated the bed being about 2 inches shorter. I am handicapped and it was hard to get my feet in. I am 5 foot 7 inches, so I am not short.

Had a great experience staying here! Staff was friendly and the room was clean! The hotel is about a 6 minute drive to downtown Munising and you pass by a couple of waterfalls.

The staff.. especially Jarrod and Beth are EXCELLENT!!.. we had car trouble when we arrived and we had issues finding a shop to fix it for us.. both Jarrod and Beth were extremely helpful.. nice pool.. hot tub was a little small( 4 person) but still nice.. would HIGHLY recommend

Very helpful front desk clerks. Helpful upon check in to tell us what to see and do in Munising. Recommended food truck in parking lot for really good pizza delivered fresh and hot to our table in the lobby area the first night. The second day we went to book the boat tour, but the boats hadn't gone on the lake for the last 4 days due to high winds and waves. The staff couldn't guarantee the boats would operate the next day, either. When we checked in with the desk clerk on Sunday,we thought it best not to stay another day. The clerk gave us a phone number for contacting Expedia (who had our reservation in the Boarders Inn system), and suggested that we might be able to get a refund on the room if we decided to leave early. We had trouble contacting Expedia, they didn't recognize our booking number for cancellation, perhaps because we were currently one night in the stay. But the clerk got through to cancel our room, and we are very grateful for her help. We will definitely stay there again due to quality hotel and great helpful staff.

Our room heating unit when turned on had a terrible smell. We told the staff and they sent someone to change a filter and get rid of stagnant water which improved the smell problem completely. Also there was a weird clunking sound that we heard throughout the night. Never figured out where it was coming from. When we checked in we were not upgraded because of our Expedia tier and had to pay an extra $16 per night for an extra foldout bed for our granddaughter. The room beds are not queen sized and too small to share with a kicking 4 year old. Front desk staff were not helpful at all. However the housekeeping staff kept our room clean and tidy for our 3 day stay.

Great front desk clerk - Expedia dropped the paid reservation and didn’t forward to the hotel, the front desk looked it up in Expedia and got our room already paid thru Expedia Lesson learned - will book directly in the future.

The hotel is in a reachable location to all the points of attraction in Munising. We had stayed there for a night. I had a mixed experience in customer satisfaction. The receptionist was not welcoming and rude to interact. I reached little early than the check-in time. She mentioned the rooms are not ready. That was absolutely fine because, we planned If no check-in available we ll go for lunch and come back. It was too hot out so just wanted to check-in and go for lunch. My issue is how she delivered in a very rude way. Being in the service set up you expect a nice interaction when the other person is nice. This is unwanted bad behavior which no-one appreciate. I might not choose this place only because of the service.

The hotel is older, but our rooms were clean and comfortable. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We were in town to visit Pictured Rocks and the hotel was an easy 5 minute drive to the docks for the boat tours.

For the area, a decent option, similar to a Choice brand hotel. The breakfast was a bit weak, but the coffee was excellent. Overall, the hotel is a bit dated, but the staff was friendly, and they even have a little pub on site for a nightcap.

This hotel was awesome. The location was perfect, very close to all the action in the town. The desk help was very friendly and hospitable. The rooms were large, quiet, and clean. The bedding was amazing, sheets smelled like bleach, pillows were fluffy and the room staff kept our beds tidy. Great stay all around. Highly recommend staying here.

Everything OK. Rooms and bathroom are very clean . Although reviews say many good things about breakfast, it was way below a continental breakfast!! If you’re coming from a major city, lower your expectations!

Boarders Inns and Suites was a great place to stay! Our first impression was from the young man at the front desk. I wish we would have gotten his name to give him specific praise (he was working afternoon, September 8, 2025), but he was genuinely welcoming, kind, and helpful. The location was convenient to the town of Munising and to surrounding waterfalls, and the breakfast provided was tasty and convenient.

Good location for visiting the Park. Paid $1000 for four nights for two of us - a bit expensive for the class of the hotel, but not out of line. However, a negative view for the quality and seating of the "full continent breakfast" is warrantied - much below my expectation. Hope to see improvement for an otherwise satisfactory stay. Thanks the staffs!

Nice on-site pub for evening beverages. Very small breakfast area for size of the hotel. Not enough seating to accommodate the number of guests as well as inability to maintain hot dishes supplied.

Great place to stay. Building itself is a bit older style, but don't let that deceive you. With the great location and hot breakfast it was worth the stay. Pool and hot tub were clean. They took care in cleaning the rooms daily, always providing fresh towels. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Coffee bar available. I would stay again.
