I rented a room here because of the hotel's "9" rating. I'm leaving this review, because I think that people should know that the hotel didn't feel like a nine. First, the good. Every person who I spoke with was very nice and helpful. I especially appreciated the nice maintenance man who tried to help me get the washer and dryer to work. Now, here are some expamples of why I don't think that the hotel should be rated so highly. First, the nice maintenance man should not be responsible for fixing washers and dryers that are so old. They should be replaced. Even the old detergent vending machine was broken. When you walk onto the elevator, there are cracked tiles, scratched paint, a missing elevator inspection sign, and for some reason they have decided to store the big orange "Wet Floors" sign hanging on the elevator rail. The floors were never wet while I was there. The hall ceilings are made of office acoustic tiles, and in the room they are popcorn ceilings. When they updated the rooms, they left the same old short bathtub and tub faucets. The bathtub faucet's caulk was torn, so it pulls away from the wall when you turn it on. So water gets inside the walls, too. In addition, the bathroom sink didn't drain well.

First visit there, room was clean, front desk employee upon checking in was cheerful, helpful and professional. The breakfast was choices of hot or cold food, Waffle, oatmeal, cold cereal, bagels,, bacon, sausage. If you don't eat pork, no choice of meat and fruit and beverages. Small indoor pool and whirlpool. Convenient parking lot near freeway. Bed was comfortable, working air, TV and plenty of outlets on both sides of bed. This was a staycation for us, but pleasant. If we visit again will go on the weekend.

Inside of the building is a little bit dated and the pool chlorine level is incredibly strong. Outside of that the staff were very friendly and the rooms were clean with comfy beds and all the amenities you would expect. I would stay here again.

Breakfast in the morning was terrible(dry and few selections)but we got there with 10 min to spare - hopefully it would be better if you get there earlier. Beds and pillows were very cozy and the room spacious. Pool only has ladder access - lack of step entry was difficult for those with mobility issues. Overall would stay here again but set an alarm for food.

My family and I stay at this hotel every year to get together with other family members and I don’t think I would stay anywhere else. They have the kindest and friendliest staff you could possibly come across, the rooms are clean and the breakfast is amazing. We’ve been going to this hotel now for four years, and I have never once had a single problem. When I say their staff is kind and friendly, I mean they go above and beyond I didn’t catch his name, but the gentleman that was there the evening we checked in conversed with us like he was part of the family the next morning, our son had a bit of a cough And the lady working the breakfast bar, took it upon herself to make him a drink to help him with his cough, which we thought was absolutely amazing. You just don’t come across these type of people very often anymore. We were a little bummed out that the hot tub was out of order this time however we understand it does happen and the pool was still open so the kids had a blast. Thank you

We booked this property because it has a pool and we have a six year old.... the pool was closed and there was no mention of it on the reservation at all. My child was super disappointed.

I loved the staff. All the ladies were wonderful, kind, happy. The breakfast was wonderful and the area super clean. The whole building was clean, quiet. The pool area was clean. The only thing I wish was the hot tub to be better, some jets didn't work but it was clean and relaxing.

The check-in process was horrible. We waited 15 minutes because the gentleman was sleeping in the back by the breakfast area with his feet propped up and didn't hear us calling or ringing the bell. He finally heard after we yelled loudly and banged on the table. The room wasn't cleaned forr the firat two days until I requested the toom be cleaned. That day the beds were made but the room was not cleaned. The room wasn't vacummed or the sinks cleaned, as there was still residue from ,y makeup in the sinck.

We mostly had a great stay. We dtayed on the second floor, and coming right off the elevator, we could smell a musty, almost wet dog smell in the hallway. And getting into our room, it was the same. We didn't say anything to the front desk, and stayed there anyway. It was a bit annoying to smell that, but it wasn't unbearable. The bathroom sink also didn't drain very quickly. We also wished the painters of the outside building weren't painting when we were getting in our romm about 4-5ish pm. We had just got there and were wanting to get into comfy clothes. We had to just keep our curtains closed and not be able to open them. They would get started early the next day. Otherwise, we had really good service at the desk, very friendly staff. We really liked that the bathroom was so nice. We really were happy with the water pressure in the shower, with plenty of spaces to put our toiletries, and a nice surprise of shampoo, bodywash, and conditioner in the tub already! The hot tub and pool were so relaxing. The areas were neat and tidy, and not too far from our room. We chose to eat elsewhere for breakfast, but noticed one morning at 10 the breakfast was still out there!

Credit card was charged for our stay two weeks before we arrived, trouble checking in - credit card charged multiple times for incidentals, room not cleaned at all during 3-day stay (dirty towels left on the bathroom floor and we had to change the beds ourselves), still waiting for our receipt. Plus, cancelation of our reservation had to be done by May 30, 2023 for a June 11, 2023 arrival. Terribly disappointed ☹

The only thing was that the bathroom sink was clogged and very slow. Upon check out I did let front desk know. I also received a $40.00 charge on my credit card and was not sure for what . . . I have not called yet to inquire.

Small hotel with clean modern rooms. Water pressure in our shower was like a firehose—I felt exfoliated. And room doors slam loudly, so if someone goes for ice at 2am, it’s gonna wake you up.

I had a great stay here. I wasn’t expecting much from the outside but the inside lobby was very nice. Both ladies who checked me in and out were very friendly. The rooms were clean and I enjoyed the TV’s having cable plus Netflix and YouTube. The room had a mini fridge and a microwave which was nice. A lot of the hotels I stay at don’t have microwaves anymore. The bed was comfy. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic.

We booked a King bed with a pull out... arrived at 8pm, and were given the "last available room": a single queen bed. For three of us. They said they were overbooked. That is NOT my problem. There are other hotels right beside this one. Book those, and avoid this poorly managed hotel.
We booked a King bed with a pull out... arrived at 8pm, and were given the "last available room": a single queen bed. For three of us. They said they were overbooked. That is NOT my problem. There are other hotels right beside this one. Book those, and avoid this poorly managed hotel.

Lana at checkin was fabulous and so accommodating and got us checked in early! Ryan was helpful and kind, both Tuesday evening and again Wednesday at checkout. Erin who worked the fabulous breakfast was friendly and great! Head housekeeper, Amanda i think her name was, she was kind and helpful as well! And the woman at the desk this morning, that got us a late checkout was wonderful as well. I'm so sorry i didnt catch her name. So nice to have friendly people, in the people business! Thanks to all for a great stay!!!!

The check-in process was horrible. We waited 15 minutes because the gentleman was sleeping in the back by the breakfast area with his feet propped up and didn't hear us calling or ringing the bell. He finally heard after we yelled loudly and banged on the table. The room wasn't cleaned forr the firat two days until I requested the toom be cleaned. That day the beds were made but the room was not cleaned. The room wasn't vacummed or the sinks cleaned, as there was still residue from ,y makeup in the sinck.

Hotel was nice , booked two rooms through Hotels.com. One was a king and the other was supposed to be two Doubles/queens. Didn’t get the room with 2 doubles they gave us king beds in both. Tough spot for 6 people. Talked to desk and they said they were booked solid and hotels.com booked a room that wasn’t available. Pull out sofa is barely a twin size.

Can’t say enough good things about the staff at this property! We stayed on a Saturday night and it was sold out the night prior and Saturday. Called to see if we could get early check in as we had to attend a wedding that day. Lana went above and beyond to make this happy for us! Rachel who cleaned our room in a rush to get us checked in early did a suburb job! Room was spotless! Location is conveniently located right off the highway with food options close by. Would stay here again and again!

There was a problem checking in. Apparently, my assigned room was given to another person. It just took a while to get me into another room. I wasn’t upset; the clerk was working very hard to take care of customers & find me a room at the same time. But, I really enjoyed my stay here.

Good property, stayed there for 1 night with family, breakfast was really good, timing was little short from 6:00 to 9:30 am Hotel is on main highway, food options are 5 minutes drive , there is no walking distance dining options. All stores closed by 10:00 pm so if you are checking in late, buy your food first, we did the same.

Everyone at the front desk was friendly and helpful. As a Port Huron native, the hotel was centrally located to everyone and everything I wanted to visit on a trip back home (I'm talking about you, China Lite). Water pressure was phenomenal and bed was so comfortable I actually extended my stay by a night. Even though I was conveniently located in a room right at the very end, I could still hear my neighbors on one side. It wasn't a huge issue but the only reason I knocked a star off.

The room was not ready when we arrived but the desk clerk said it would only be a few minutes. She offered us some freshly baked cookies while we waited. Before I could finish the cookie, the room was ready. Lovely breakfast the next morning.

Breakfast in the morning was terrible(dry and few selections)but we got there with 10 min to spare - hopefully it would be better if you get there earlier. Beds and pillows were very cozy and the room spacious. Pool only has ladder access - lack of step entry was difficult for those with mobility issues. Overall would stay here again but set an alarm for food.

I loved the staff. All the ladies were wonderful, kind, happy. The breakfast was wonderful and the area super clean. The whole building was clean, quiet. The pool area was clean. The only thing I wish was the hot tub to be better, some jets didn't work but it was clean and relaxing.

Our second stay at the Fairfield by Marriott Port Huron. Front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy. Room was clean, extra towels in room upon our arrival. Great selection for the complementary breakfast, fresh fruit oranges, strawberries, banana, kiwi. We enjoyed our stay!

Unfortunately toilet backed up and flooded. The front desk manager was very nice trying to fix it but the maintenance staff never came to take care of the problem. We bought our own plunger to take care of it but eventually just flooded and didn’t stop over flowing. Never received a refund for the inconvenience either.

Fabulous stay, friendly staff,clean. The beds were comfortable, pillows were perfect. A few hairs on the shower walls, but everything else was clean in the bathroom. Breakfast had a good choice for every palate.

Overall, I’d say my stay was okay, and the staff were very nice. The first room we got smelled musty and damp, so we requested another and were switched right away and did not have any issues with the other room. There was always someone at the desk, and they were friendly and helpful. The biggest disappointment was that the hot tub was out of order all weekend, which was a main reason I selected this hotel.
