I am assuming this is family-owned or at least family-operated. The staff are lovely. The rooms are clean enough but definitely not updated whatsoever. Breakfast is your standard fare, but I swear their waffle batter has some hidden ingredient to make them taste so flippin good! The pool is really for kids. The deepest point is 3.5 feet. It has a large hot tub and a sauna, a small kid's slide and then a much bigger waterslide. My main gripe...the waterslide doesn't open until 4 PM. All in all, if you have small(er) children, they'll love it...mainly after 4 PM though. 😬

We booked the room for our 6 year old to go swimming. We got there and the sign on counter says the hot tub is out of order the heater dont work. Get ready to swim and and the pool room is freezing. Wife asked why its so cold and the pool room furnace is also down. First week of January, single digit temps outside.

This hotel was a breath of fresh air over some others around the area. Clean and spacious room, with comfy beds, clean linens & enough space for the 4 of us. Hotel is very close to Pictured Rocks Areas (Miner’s Beach - 10 mins). This hotel also offers all day coffee in lobby, pool with slides and free breakfast. Pool: Clean pool with attendant on site. Larger slide works for bigger kids my kids are 9 & 15 and had a great time) while there is a little froggie slide for smaller kids. Pool caps at 4 feet. Hot tub and sauna were a nice surprise. There are “Adult Only” pool hours to end the night. Pool towels are available for use. Free breakfast was solid. Make your own waffles (my kids fav!), egg patties, sausage with typical continental fare. There is NOT a lot of room in the breakfast area so using the lobby or returning to your room may be your best bet. Coffee bar was convenient and offered a variety. Hotel allows pets so you may have different floor mates (and hear barking from time to time). If it bothers you talk to the staff in advance and ask to be away from pets. The hotel did not smell so I can only assume cleaning is a priority bc we were surrounded by rooms with dogs and didn’t really notice anything except occasional barking. Overall although I feel it was a bit overpriced, this was a nice stay for me and my family & we would stay here again. If you come earlier than we did, you can use the pool and get more out of your stay. Highly recommend.

They neglect to tell you that the big slide is only open 4-10 until after you have paid and checked in, and the rest of the pool area is just over 3 feet at the deepest so it’s not really useable unless you have toddlers. If you ask about it they are beyond rude and point to a paper they gave you at check in which again, is after you already paid and can’t cancel. Hot tub is not hot. Sauna doesn’t work. Feels like I got scammed.

Lobby area had no overhead lights on and was like walking into a cave. Hot tub wasn’t functioning and the pool area was freezing cold. Customer service was average.

It was just okay. The pool area and water slide were the highlight of our stay. The waterslide is only open 6-10, which was great for us, but may not work for other guests. The hotel is a great location for snowmobiling, which was why we stayed. The man at the desk when I checked in was pretty rude and when I asked about parking in a certain spot with the truck and trailer, he just pointed to a sign that shows trailer parking and said we needed to park in one of the designated spots. There weren’t any open, and he was no help, so we ended up having to park in an area not designated for trailers anyway, but it worked. The room wasn’t very clean, but they are remodeling. There’s boxes filling the whole entry of the hotel (Never heard any construction noise, so that wasn’t an issue). Once the rooms are remodeled, I think they will be cleaner and much nicer. There was hair in the tub and some kind of dirt in the tub and sink when we checked in. (To our second room, the first room I got keys for and entered had never been cleaned, so we had to switch) The current beds are very hard, towels and sheets were very scratchy. Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast, not bad. None of the staff besides one woman with blonde hair were pleasant throughout our stay. When my husband checked out an Indian woman was behind the counter, she wouldn’t even look up or speak to him, just pointed to the counter for him to set the room keys. Overall, not worth the money and won’t stay here again.

Great service. Rooms were clean and breakfast was served till 10, which was so nice to not have to rush in the morning. Spent a good amount of time in the pool area. My 8 y/o and 5 y/o absolutely loved it and had so much fun. Deepest part is the pool was 3 ft and 6 inches. The hot tub was warm but not overly hot.

We choose this place for the "water park". It is a slide that they don't open until 6pm, even though the details written said it opened at 4pm. We were the only ones there one day and I asked them to open it early (since the boys were bored of the 3ft. pool, but was told no. There are no decent family restaurants (except for Earl E. Birds) nearby and things are pricey but the falls and the Riptide Pictured Rocks Tour were amazing!!!!!

The property was not worth the cost. The room was large but the bed and pillows were not very comfortable. Hot tub and pool area needed cleaning. Bandaids etc. on the floor around the hottub. Staff did not greet us. Breakfast was as expected, not bad. Worst part was the repairs or construction going on in the room below. Constant banging. We will not choose this location again.

The room, faucet, everything at the bathroom was dirty. Like was not clean. I just felt sleep because was so tired. But honestly the money I paid should be refunded. Wasn’t worth it. Everything was disgustingly dirty

Was glad they had availability. Was traveling with a group and wanted a shower and good nights sleep. The shower had someone elses hair in it. Room smelled musty and unclean. This hotel says its pet friendly and is more like per tolerant. This hotel is the same price as a luxury hotel. Not at all worth the cost.

Room was very dusty & outdated. Area above the shower had black mold on the wall. One of the front desk staff was somewhat rude, i asked how to turn the fireplace on in the lobby, he rolled his eyes at me, walked around the desk & turned it on. He wouldn't say a single word to me, even after thanking him. One of the housekeepers was smoking pot on the elevator in the middle of the day while families & kids were moving about the hotel.

When we got to our room, we found that one of the lamps wasn't working. The in-room phone had a button on it that was supposed to dial the front desk but it didn't work. I tried just dialing 0 but that didn't work either. The brown bed covering was visibly dirty. We ignored all these red flags and went to sleep. During the night, the brown bed cover slipped off. When i woke up the next day to the cover off, i found a blood stain on the white quilted blanket. I was so grossed out. I had booked a two night stay, but we chose to leave a night early.

Hotel was very clean, and everything seemed to be working. Even the pool area was also very clean. Kudos to the staff, as it was completely booked our 2nd night.
Hotel was very clean, and everything seemed to be working. Even the pool area was also very clean. Kudos to the staff, as it was completely booked our 2nd night.

The only things that needs improved is I called for directions because the google maps wasn't locating the hotel and the staff couldn't give directions well. Also, I didn’t notice there was blood on both comforters until the morning we left, which wasn't a good feeling but felt it was too late to to say anything then.

We stayed in the king suite and was not impressed. Have picturws of dirty room, mold in shower, old and uncomfortable furniture. Booked hot tub room online and ended up with this. Told no other rooms. Needs a good cleaning and a good update.

It’s conveniently located by Pictured Rocks and the town has some decent food options (Bear Trap Inn is the best imo). The TV’s are a little old but has an hdmi cable and free wifi available!

Well…the bed linens are stiff and scratchy. Not soft and comfy, at all. Same goes for the pillows. Our tv isn’t working. There are no benches or picnic tables outdoors. And worst of all, there are NO coffee makers in the rooms. No coffee until the lobby makes it at 6am. This room was overpriced for what we got. I’ve stayed in much better hotels for this price. Very disappointed.

We had two rooms. One room all the drains were clogged and it was too late to do anything. The other room was so humid something was not working correctly in the room. To top it off…walked in with kids and one of the reasons we picked it was for the slide but was not able to use the pool at night. There is nothing large posted about the slide only being opened at night so can’t use it during the day even though it was a weekend. Not happy paying so much for an old hotel with the main feature being limited.

Everything was clean and as expected. My daughter had a blast playing in the pool and water slide. Location is slightly off the beaten path but still very close and convenient to everything. The beds were extremely uncomfortable though; we actually left a day early and headed home as we couldn’t sleep on those beds another night.

If it wasn't for the fun pool this hotel would not have been worth it. Our room was fairly clean for being older but the beds were awful. All of us were tossing and turning all night, even my kids who can sleep anywhere because of how bad the mattresses were. Breakfast was ok, it got picked over pretty fast so we had to wait before we had any eggs. The kids had fun at the pool, the pictures make it seem bigger though and the big slide is slow. Not worth the money.

Felt bad for the front desk clerk who was mot only responsible for checking people in, but also setting up the breakfast area and keeping it stocked. They were still very professional and courteous, but seemed like it would be more fair to increase staff in order to provide more quality of service overall.

It was just okay. The pool area and water slide were the highlight of our stay. The waterslide is only open 6-10, which was great for us, but may not work for other guests. The hotel is a great location for snowmobiling, which was why we stayed. The man at the desk when I checked in was pretty rude and when I asked about parking in a certain spot with the truck and trailer, he just pointed to a sign that shows trailer parking and said we needed to park in one of the designated spots. There weren’t any open, and he was no help, so we ended up having to park in an area not designated for trailers anyway, but it worked. The room wasn’t very clean, but they are remodeling. There’s boxes filling the whole entry of the hotel (Never heard any construction noise, so that wasn’t an issue). Once the rooms are remodeled, I think they will be cleaner and much nicer. There was hair in the tub and some kind of dirt in the tub and sink when we checked in. (To our second room, the first room I got keys for and entered had never been cleaned, so we had to switch) The current beds are very hard, towels and sheets were very scratchy. Breakfast was standard hotel breakfast, not bad. None of the staff besides one woman with blonde hair were pleasant throughout our stay. When my husband checked out an Indian woman was behind the counter, she wouldn’t even look up or speak to him, just pointed to the counter for him to set the room keys. Overall, not worth the money and won’t stay here again.

Room was clean, front desk agent was very friendly and was happy to turn on the waterslide when requested. Then, i assume maybe the owner, quickly.let us into the pool room in the morning when our key wouldnt work and 2 anxious boys were ready to swim. We were there for the fall color at Pictured Rocks - this is the high season for this national park. There was only one person checking in - the line was out the door and there were problems with the computer. It seems to me that this a known busy time and the scheduling of staff should be appropriate for the anticipated volume. The fireplace in the room didn't work, yet the flue was open and cold air entered the room. No instructions on how to use the fireplace anywhere, nothing from the overworked and frazzled check-in clerk. The breakfast ran out of everything and no room to sit and no help.

When i arrived no one was around, phone was ringing non stop, i stood there waiting for quite some time before finally front desk lady appeared, i was trying to check in, then the lady said my husband had to come in to sign paperwork since im useing our debit card ,i never had this issue ever before so that was odd ...also the water slide wasn't open because the lady didn't want to open it she rather visit her family in the lobby i guess...pool was cold, hot tub was not that warm

We booked two rooms through Expedia and we were told the day before we only have one so we stayed somewhere else that night. We booked another room then. We arrived and then we had 3 rooms. She told me we had the original two rooms and didn’t need to book another. No too good at what they do.

Comfortable hotel-was clean quiet had good beds and was only 5 minutes from the pictured Rocks NP and boat tour docks. FYI everything except Eh Burger (10:30pm)closes at 10pm so eat before you take your evening boat tours!!!

Coffee was basically dark water. Just not good, so we got it across the street. It was convenient to have breakfast on site, but it wasn’t anything special..same powdered eggs and sausage. They did have a waffle machine. At the end of day two(although we stayed 3) housekeeping had not come in our room and changed towels. I had to go to the front and get fresh. All in all it was ok.

My kids loved the pool area. I wish they would turn on the slide earlier than 4 pm though. They don't have a lifeguard so I'm not sure why they wait until 4 pm. I think they might have been short staffed while we were there because they struggled to keep the breakfast area stocked in the morning while people were eating.

This hotel was a breath of fresh air over some others around the area. Clean and spacious room, with comfy beds, clean linens & enough space for the 4 of us. Hotel is very close to Pictured Rocks Areas (Miner’s Beach - 10 mins). This hotel also offers all day coffee in lobby, pool with slides and free breakfast. Pool: Clean pool with attendant on site. Larger slide works for bigger kids my kids are 9 & 15 and had a great time) while there is a little froggie slide for smaller kids. Pool caps at 4 feet. Hot tub and sauna were a nice surprise. There are “Adult Only” pool hours to end the night. Pool towels are available for use. Free breakfast was solid. Make your own waffles (my kids fav!), egg patties, sausage with typical continental fare. There is NOT a lot of room in the breakfast area so using the lobby or returning to your room may be your best bet. Coffee bar was convenient and offered a variety. Hotel allows pets so you may have different floor mates (and hear barking from time to time). If it bothers you talk to the staff in advance and ask to be away from pets. The hotel did not smell so I can only assume cleaning is a priority bc we were surrounded by rooms with dogs and didn’t really notice anything except occasional barking. Overall although I feel it was a bit overpriced, this was a nice stay for me and my family & we would stay here again. If you come earlier than we did, you can use the pool and get more out of your stay. Highly recommend.

Yes breakfast was free but it was horrible. We were there two nights and did not use the breakfast for the second day. Breakfast was so bad it was a negative in selecting this property. Will consider all other properties next year, for our tour group.

Our stay here was fabulous! The pool and slide was a huge hit with our kids. Staff was super friendly. Everything was clean. Breakfast was a great selection. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Maybe also have more 2 person tables that can be shoved together as needed by larger groups. There was only 2 of us and we had to sit at a table for 4. We were not the only ones. The pool, slide, and hot tub were just what the body ordered after a long day of driving! The gal working at the front desk came across rude at first, until I realized she was running the whole place. Understaffed. The continental breakfast gave us diarrhea. The wifi did not work. They were packed to the gill at breakfast, they ran out of food & it was standing room only. Luckily, the room was very clean.

The gal working at the front desk came across rude at first, until I realized she was running the whole place. Understaffed. The continental breakfast gave us diarrhea. The wifi did not work. They were packed to the gill at breakfast, they ran out of food & it was standing room only. Luckily, the room was very clean.

Great place to stay, literally only a couple minutes away from downtown munising. The complimentary breakfast was only so so, but the coffee was good. We would definitely stay here again the next time. (We didn’t use the pool so no comments on that.)

Room was clean, though we heard another patron complaining about a bad smelling room as we checked in. Breakfast is as good as anywhere else. Slides looked cool, but be aware of height requirement. Didn't go into the pool as our toddler would've been too tempted by the big slide.
