No elevator for 2nd floor. Slept in room right next to stairway, heard everyone who came up the stairs. Gap on bottom of door would allow anyone who wanted to peak under door into room.

Room was clean and comfortable, staff was friendly and helpful and a nice breakfast was served in the morning. Restaurants, fuel and shopping nearby. Easy to find and roomy parking lot for our truck and boat trailer. Pet friendly and washer and dryer available.

The parking lot has no parking. Our room smelled like cat urine. Beds are hard and pillows are barely anything to them. Only reason we booked here was because every other hotel was booked amd we needed something close.

parking was full so i had to walk quite a distance with all my things and a disability, only to get there and realize there's no elevator. im mobile enough to make it work but it was a struggle. it was an older facility so it could only get so clean, which the rating didn't really indicate that, but now i know. also it was seriously noisy the whole time so i barely slept. the housekeeping ppl started vacuuming on sat morning at 830 which is frankly too early, and there was no dnd sign to hang out. the room was okay except the light by the door didn't work. It was mostly clean but it was stagnant smelling and had an general feeling of "old carpet". staff was nice and responsive but overall im not going to go back again.

Convenient and affordable stay for a short trip! Decent option for free breakfast and comfortable beds. Love this option for when we need to bring our dog since they are pet friendly. Drawbacks is that our room smelled like cigarette smoke even though it's supposedly no-smoking and the towel rack was broken off the wall. Otherwise, everything was fine and we'd stay again for a quick stay passing through.

Rooma were not vacuumed or mopped and there was hair all over the bathrooms. We were offered three separate rooms and all were very poorly cleaned. All had hair all over in the bathrooms. Microwaves were dirty. Sheets had a large dark circle (hopefully just a stain) in the third room. We brought our own bedding to cover the bed with so I didn't see this until the morning.

Hair all over bathroom floor and wet towel hanging on the bathroom door. The staff was very apologetic and cleaned the bathroom but it makes you wonder what else wasn’t cleaned. Pretty sparse breakfast selection.

The location is easily located. The experience was bad from the lack of food at the breakfast to the shower that would not drain and dirty room, we had mold in the bathroom Only one of the outlets works I had to buy an extension cord to plug in a cepac machine.

My room was disgusting and not even cleaned! I had to go buy antibacterial wipes to clean the room, especially the toilet and mini fridge! Bought two throw blankets because i refused to use their sheets and blankets. Im an understanding person but this was unacceptable!!

The curtains are too long so they cover up the heater/ac unit Found plastic silverware on the carpet The bathroom sink needs declogged Filled up with water (probably a lot of hair in the drain) Shower head (white) was black . Found hair in the tub Towels looked like they were half folded and thrown up on the towel rack It was loud , people running up and down the hallway Breakfast was mediocre at best The only thing was the price cheaper but you get what you pay for Would I stay there again probably not

The staff was friendly and the parking was convenient. It was a bit pricey considering the rooms were very dated... musty smelling, sticky carpeting, and shower definitely needed some deep cleaning/fresh caulking. We were only there to sleep overnight and were gone early so it suited or needs. Would probably not stay again though.

This hotel is very basic and just ok. It is getting old and is showing wear and tear. The whole hotel needs new rug in all the rooms, hallways and stairs. My room was large and clean but looked old and cheap. The bed was comfortable, but the frame squeaked when I got in and out of it. The room TV was very large and had more channels than I could ever watch. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The free breakfast was the usual free breakfast at a hotel. If you need just a one night stay or if you really have a tight budget, this place is for you.

Bathroom has been redone and quite nice but sparse on soap stuff. No lotion. Many outlets didn’t work or at least to charge my phone…only bathroom one would. Nice fridge and microwave! Bed was comfortable pillows could be better. A/C worked great. I didn’t have a “Do Not Disturb” placard. Shower head too high!!

My mind is blown. We spent just about $200 ($188) for one night for a room that had AC that smelled like burnt hair and a lock that was literally off the hinges. I will only relate my one experiences but I’ve only stayed in a room once like that and it was about $70 in a bad suburb of Kansas City. Not an up north MN town where people vacation. This was the worst room I’ve ever had for $200 a night? We took pictures of the lock.

They have long term people staying there and the one above me was up all night pacing the floor and when I called to the front desk they said they can't tell her to stop walking and she may be on drugs or has a mental health condition. Did not feel safe after that.

I forgot my wallet and did not have my credit card. The lovely front desk person worked with me to get me into my reserved room. Best deal in Brainerd area. I have stayed a few times and each time, it meets my needs, wants and expectations. The staff is friendly, the breakfast bar is well stocked and the rooms are clean

Noisy staff hitting door and walls at all hours of the night will never stay there again I left early and then got doubled charged now Being told no refund very rude manager that actually hung up on me after telling me no refund me and yelling at me and went though Expedia which is not helping either so t use either ever again your better to do sleeping in your car then there

My wife and I stay at this Super 8 twice a year when we attend the races at BIR ~ It's always consistently clean and the staff is always friendly ~ Great chairs to chill out at the end of the day and watch the 'Gateway to Up North' 371 for a little while... Breakfast is serviceable but lets face it, there's plenty of places in Brainerd-Baxter that have amazing breakfasts so we usually only have the coffee ~ See ya' next year S-8...

Room lamps didn't work, room outlets did not work. When I asked the hotel clerk for a new room, I was told NO. Shower was dirty. Coffee machine broken. Never staying in a Super 8 again.

I was staying one night in Baxter to attend the races at BIR. This was a nice little hotel that covered the bases and was well taken care of. I had no issues with my stay, and everything seemed clean. I would definitely stay there again. Thanks much !!

We've been here before - it's nothing spectacular but the beds are comfy, and the place is safe and quiet. Nice place to be! Close to great shops and restaurants.

We've been here before - it's nothing spectacular but the beds are comfy, and the place is safe and quiet. Nice place to be! Close to great shops and restaurants.

Very comfortable, clean room! Coffee maker, which appears to be a luxury in motels these days! Free breakfast was excellent! Toast, waffles, eggs and more! Would recommend

The place appeared to be not welcoming, messy at check in counter and breakfast room. Did noy stay for the "breakfast" as it appeared less than clean. Very noisy guests well after 10:00 PM.

Hair all over bathroom floor and wet towel hanging on the bathroom door. The staff was very apologetic and cleaned the bathroom but it makes you wonder what else wasn’t cleaned. Pretty sparse breakfast selection.

My wife and I stay at this Super 8 twice a year when we attend the races at BIR ~ It's always consistently clean and the staff is always friendly ~ Great chairs to chill out at the end of the day and watch the 'Gateway to Up North' 371 for a little while... Breakfast is serviceable but lets face it, there's plenty of places in Brainerd-Baxter that have amazing breakfasts so we usually only have the coffee ~ See ya' next year S-8...

Overall decent for the price. Clean, good location just off main road. Free breakfast left much to be desired however. No meat option, just toast and cereal. But plenty of dining options nearby.

The curtains are too long so they cover up the heater/ac unit Found plastic silverware on the carpet The bathroom sink needs declogged Filled up with water (probably a lot of hair in the drain) Shower head (white) was black . Found hair in the tub Towels looked like they were half folded and thrown up on the towel rack It was loud , people running up and down the hallway Breakfast was mediocre at best The only thing was the price cheaper but you get what you pay for Would I stay there again probably not

Shower dripped all the time. Spout on sink was very loose. Out of almost all juice for breakfast Not much variety Beds were ok for me but way too hard for my wife. For the money you paid it should of been just more

Rooms smell like smoke. That’s the first thing you notice. Sheets and linens are clean however. Which is nice. The bathroom is definitely beat up. The tub/shower surround has lots of damage and stains. I wore shower shoes as it was a little too gross for my liking. All in all, it’s livable. It didn’t feel too dirty to sleep there or anything. It’s just a little run down and the smoke smell is a bit strong for a hotel that’s no smoking.

This hotel is fine. It’s clean enough. I would say it’s just above the level where I’d refuse to stay here. The linens are clean. However the rooms smell very bad like smoke even though it’s all non-smoking. So clearly many visitors still smoke here. The bath tub has a lot of brown/black stains and so I wore sandals in there. It’s just a bit run down and the smoke smell is strong but other than that, it’s clean enough where it matters like the sheets/pillows. It’s livable.
