Friendly and helpful staff! We really liked our room/king suite with living room space, kids pleasantly surprised it had a PS4 with games! Liked the lobby, common areas clean and nice decor. The waterpark area a bit on the outdated side with some rust in areas... Loved the large connected indoor/outdoor hot tub, although could have been hotter. Slides fun, Kids had a blast!

Our two girls (7 and 4) had a blast, and that filled us with joy as we spent most our time at the waterpark. It was surprisingly relaxing for us as parents. We enjoyed the layout of the room with the bathroom between the queen beds, allowing some privacy. We had fun at the arcade. The staff was super! I think the waterpark could have had more attention to being clean/clean the floor on a regular basis.

The hotel was nice roomy and decent. One of the elevators was out, so it was difficult to go up and down. The Waterpark was dirty! Floor was gross, not enought tables. They hardly had any tubes to ride. The slide was rusty, no music or lights like it use to have. Hot tub was dirty on the bottom with sand. Only 2 lifeguards who didn't do much

The water park downgraded a few aspects that needed maintenance in the past such that there was less for younger kids to do. Also a lot of drinking in the pool area and only one lifeguard all weekend in the pool area with all the people. With the cost of a weekend stay there I feel the cost didn’t provide value and I’ll be looking elsewhere in Baxter next time as there are other water parks there anyway.

Stay at your own risk. Late check in, breakfast buffet was not as advertised/food was gross, Lifeguard staff are incompetent creating an extremely unsafe environment for kids. Swim at your own risk. Brought lifeguard concerns to waterpark manager and front desk manager, no one seemed to care as concerns were dismissed without question. Was told to contact the GM, did so and never received a return call. Facility has a ton of potential and should be an excellent place to take families with young kids, unfortunately we will not be back due to the unsafe conditions in the water park.

Interesting traditional “up north” decor. Parking lot was clean and convenient. However, our room was sub-par. The tile directly in front of the toilet was cracked and loose, right where you would put your feet. The shower diverter only half worked. Carpet hadn’t been vacuumed. A large water bottle from a previous guest was beside the bed, and the sink was dirty.

I wanted a quiet room for a good night sleep, what I got was quite a few long black hairs on the bed and I’m bald. A clock that was never reset from daylight savings time, an air conditioning unit with a fan that was malfunctioning and some policies that Still have me wondering what I paid for the night stay. The breakfast was nice.

Our room was not cleaned. Toilet was disgusting, there was hair in the sink and the shower, toothpaste all over the bathroom faucet, something gross on the bed linens. I changed the sheets because the cleaning staff had gone home. They told me they credited my account for a nights stay and they did not. I should have read the reviews ahead of time... lesson learned

The only positive was that the check in staff was friendly. Mold in our first room (rm 110). We were moved to another room that was musty but no visible mold. The ceiling in the bathroom had obvious water stains and was crumbling (rm 120) so I’m sure there was hidden mold there. We were told breakfast stopped at 10. We arrived at 8:45 and they were already taking it apart. The staff member there told us it actually stops at 9AM. She let us take plates to our room from what was packed up but everything was cold and gross. Water park was dirty and broken down. The life guard let a group of his friends in who were repeatedly leaving the side doors open to go out and smoke. Arcade was supposed to be open but it wasn’t. Beds were awful, uncomfortable and the protective covers made so much noise that any time someone moves it woke everyone up. We won’t be back. There are two better water parks in town so I would strongly recommend choosing those over this run down dump.

The computer system is old, so check in took longer with only one person in front of me.only one of the two computers could check people in. And I did the pre check in. Super nice staff, could use a little update and it’s weird that the halls Don’t have air conditioning. The floor directly under the table in my room didn’t get a vac since there were so many Bobby pins everywhere. But seemed clean otherwise. They also couldn’t get the pre purchased food gift cards working for the restaurant because of the old comp system. Update this place and you have a winner!

The bathroom in our room was not cleaned well - the vents which were easily within cleaning reach had sooo much dust and the shower had several old pieces of hair in it. Give me a duster and I would have dusted it myself and it would have taken 30 seconds maximum. The room seemed clean enough but with a lot of missing scrapes of paint on the wall. It was nice the restaurant was on site and the food was good - the continental breakfast very standard and average for a free hotel meal. Water park was okay- pretty chilly actually and the “lifeguards” spent alot of time looking down at their phones

Check-in was slow. Waited about 15-20 mn & front desk staff could have been more friendly. A/C unit made a horrible rattling/whistling noise on a hot, humid day. Had to shut it off in the middle of the night because it was keeping us awake. The pull-out couch was horrible to sleep on & was stained & gross. Just felt the room didn’t smell fresh & needed a deep cleaning. The heat & humidity brought out some unpleasant smells in the hallways, like wet dog. The bartender was pleasant & efficient with drinks & food. Appreciated the shuttle to the music festival. Grounds were clean.

Had to shut it off in the middle of the night because it was keeping us awake. The pull-out couch was horrible to sleep on & was stained & gross. Just felt the room didn’t smell fresh & needed a deep cleaning. The heat & humidity brought out some unpleasant smells in the hallways, like wet dog. The bartender was pleasant & efficient with drinks & food. Appreciated the shuttle to the music festival. Grounds were clean.

I checked in for a one-night stay for an event I was attending the following morning. Location was good and it was close to several options for dining. Upon arriving in the room, I appreciate that it was very spacious and I liked that the beds were in separate areas with the toilet and shower in between. What was a little disappointing is when I entered the room (in the middle of July), the room was around 75°. The A/C was not on and it was stuffy, so I had to turn it down to about 65° as it was a very large space to cool. A little surprised as typically when I've checked into a room they have it set to be somewhat cool when arriving. The other disappointing feature was the bed. Firstly, the room description said 2 queen beds, but they were full size, NOT queen. That wasn't too big of a deal as it was just myself and a friend, but if our wives were with us, I would have requested a different room. Not sure how hard it is to say a queen bed and then actually have a queen bed. I could tell the mattresses were older because when I sat (and then laid) on it, the middle sagged and was noticeably squeaky like they were 20 years old. On a scale of 1-10, comfort was ~6, but thankfully I didn't have to share it as any little movement would have been extremely disruptive to the other person. The other thing that was disappointing was the tub/shower combination It was old and there was a significant amount of water exiting the faucet so the shower had bad water pressure.

Our family of five styed for one night over MEA wknd. waterpark was a lot of fun! Rooms could use a bit of updating. Beds were uncomfortable as were the pillows. Loud mattress protectors. We did enjoy our stay ultimately just a few suggestions regarding the rooms/beds.

Big room with microwave and frig. Lots of storage spaces and a small walk-in closet. Shower was great and liked having a door between it and the sink. Beds were comfortable. A great value! Had lots of fun at the indoor water park. Very relaxing, as well.

Check in was horrible. Made me late to a work dinner. Did not show a reservation for me and made me pay again even with the receipt I had prepaid from Hotels.com. After dinner I checked in with a different person who found the reservation on Expedia. Apparently it comes to them that way and the first person was unaware of that. The next day they refunded my money. The worse part is I could not locate a Hotels.com phone number to call when my reservation was missing. The chat bot sucks. I have had this happen in the past and always had a good phone response with Hotels.com customer service. Since the change this company has really gone downhill and I will no longer be booking through this site. The Lodge was fine but I was only there for a brief overnight stay. By the way the rate at the Lodge was $93 versus the $130 I paid on this site. And that was using some of my points. So much for a discount!

The front desk staff seemed untrained. Didn't know if they had room service or when the kitchen closed. They kept saying they were understaffed. Not sure why this was a reason they didn't know the kitchen and room service question? The bartender was really impressive. The rest of the staff was very polite and helpful

About a week before our stay, I secured early check in for an added fee, because we had an event to attend that started before check in time. When we arrived for check in, we were denied our room stating there were non available. When asked how long it would be, the hotel staff could not provide a time. We were also denied a bathroom to use so we could change into our event clothes, so we had to change at the event center. It then took them SEVERAL HOURS to answer the phone when we attempted to call them regarding the reservation. Then when we finally got our room at 11 pm, I went to use the shower only to find that the shampoo and body soap were both empty. They did give us a 10% refund. Don’t stay here if you want to have your room on time, or if you like good customer service, because they just can’t seem to figure it out.

We have stayed here a few times and have never had an issue. It was a Sunday afternoon and check in was at 4. We (and others) were trying to check in around 4:30. We were told to have a seat and would have a 15 minute wait for our room to be ready. After waiting 45 minutes, we checked at the desk (near where we were sitting) and found out our room was ready! We were wondering how long we would have sat there if we wouldn't have asked. There was a family of 5 who had been waiting over an hour before we arrived. We were disappointed this time around, but the rest of the stay was good.

The computer system is old, so check in took longer with only one person in front of me.only one of the two computers could check people in. And I did the pre check in. Super nice staff, could use a little update and it’s weird that the halls Don’t have air conditioning. The floor directly under the table in my room didn’t get a vac since there were so many Bobby pins everywhere. But seemed clean otherwise. They also couldn’t get the pre purchased food gift cards working for the restaurant because of the old comp system. Update this place and you have a winner!

Check in was suppose to be at 4:00. We could not get our room till 6:45. Sat around with 3 kids waiting. There was no more breakfast available at 8:45 am. No one kept the food up. Was only 1 yogurt and no water left. We did get 2 free pizzas but only after we complained multiple times. Swimming and staff in that area were awesome! Will never stay there again.

The hotel staff were not very helpful, we opted for the early check in , we kept getting delayed from original time we pre signed up for. We were charged a fee at checkout thet should not have applied because if only given room one hour before the original check in, staff said they couldn’t refund fee because it was out of their control

Started with them charging me double the price. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely terrible service, rude staff, couldn’t keep the buffet area full with anything ran out of syrup, toast, bagels, waffles, and couldn’t get forks for over 20mins or so! Then went to go get my children some more eggs and they had the whole thing cleared out it was 9:02am found it pretty funny they could pull it faster than they could keep it stocked, next the waterpark was very ran down, the lifeguards didn’t keep an eye on anything and the food at the little bar and grill was absolutely disgusting! How do you mess up mini corn dogs and chicken strips??? I also was told by multiple guests there room price was $45-80 cheaper than what I paid and everywhere you went in the hotel you heard guests complaining about the service or there room or something not going the way they were told or expecting. I was very very disappointed in my stay here. I could keep going but this is enough to get my point I feel.

Overall, it was a great stay. We stayed for New Year’s Eve, so knew it could be busy and loud…and it was. Was able to deal with the craziness at midnight as it was to be expected. The waterpark was great and we enjoyed our meals from the snack shack. The continental breakfast unfortunately missed the mark. Muffins were ice cold, long line for the one waffle maker, orange juice was very watery, and not a lot of a selection available. The only positives were the scrambled eggs and plentiful seating. I feel they just were not prepared for the amount of people. We have stayed here before and will stay again.

The room was clean, the staff was helpful. I didn't eat at the restaurant but my sons had breakfast and said it was better than most hotel complimentary breakfasts. We didn't use the waterpark but saw other people enjoying it. It looked like more for kids to me personally. We did use the arcade and played pool and had a good time doing that.

Our stay at the Lodge was fine. We really enjoyed swimming at the water park, despite the towels being the size of dish rags. I was disappointed that when I went to wash the chlorine out of mine and my kids hair in the shower, the provided shampoo and body wash bottles affixed to the shower wall were completely empty. We also found the restaurant to be under staffed and overpriced. $100 for a mediocre dinner for 4 plus a $300 stay for one night feels like we paid way too much for the experience we got.

The rooms were clean but a little funky/dated. Having a room with a patio and access to the big lawn was a definite plus for traveling with two little boys! The staff was super helpful anytime we asked for anything. The water park was fine for little kids but I bet older kids might be bored after a while.
