Quality Inn Bemidji

Reserved 2 queens weeks in advance, but they were "all full" when we checked in, even though they called us earlier in the day to confirm. I asked if there was a discount for the error and the young man politely said they could cancel our reservation and give us money back so we could go somewhere else. It was 11pm and after a day of long flights, we chose to stay. My teenager slept on the couch in the room, it needs steam cleaning but he's a good sport. Toilet seat was very loose; use caution when sitting. Otherwise convenient to airport, and it was a place to sleep which was all we needed. Staff was friendly and I can tell they try to please guests, it just wasn't our night I suppose. Bed was clean. Sign on the pool area indicated it was under repair. Typical breakfast layout.

The rooms were dirty, They did move us to a different room once a picture was provided of the dirtiness. There were also stains on the blankets. The outside property was full of trash everywhere. They were using the pool area as a storage space and telling people the pool was closed for maintenance. The staff were real respectful to us otherwise

The property has nice grassy areas and tree covered areas so pets have lots to explore. Englush is not the first language of the employees at the front desk but we did manage to communicate abd everything went well. They are very accommodating. Pet friendly . The bed is excellent and i slept very well. The room is very clean. The toilet seat lid needs to be repaired or replaced but that is the only negative that I could find. Good choice for a quiet night sleep.

Pool and spa not open

Very nice and helpful staff. The grounds are a little messy and the neighbors, which of course they can’t control, are abandoned buildings. The price was right so I would stay here again.

There’s no pool in service

For the price I paid it was NOT GOOD!! Especially with the pool not in working order! My 7 year old daughter was very disappointed! The floors in room were laminate and NOT CLEAN!! Our bare feet were filthy!! Sheets and blankets on bed were dingy and yellow! Room reeked when we opened door like musty,hot nasty smell! Got better when we turned AC on! TV was very small! For over $150/nite I was not impressed or happy at all!!

These people running this hotel have to be violating their franchise agreement with Quality Inn. The pool is permanently closed and has a padlock on it. The window to the pool is covered with a tarp. When you peek inside, it is being used for storage. The room smells disgusting. There are stains on the bedspread. I thought that since this was part of the Quality franchise it would be OK for the one night stay I needed, but it is not. Quality is obviously not enforcing its franchise agreements. Third world situation at this hotel.

Found moldy food in refrigerator and the room did not smell good,also the pool was closed.

The staff are friendly and kind. Receptionist and her husband the maintenance man worked very, very hard. They worked late and we're up early working. They did their job the best they can. However, I think they are understaffed here. And the ownership probably consider more help. The pool and Jacuzzi were unusable. The pool chemicals were off and cloudy Jacuzzis been broken for months. The dryer was an operable even though they were free, which was kind the receptionist offered to dry my clothes in the main dryer. The rooms bedding was clean and comfortable. However, the rooms need a deep clean, very filthy in the corners and on trimwork and walls Filthly and haven't been cleaned probably for months and months.. Found chewed gum on the light fixture left behind. The bathroom sink and toilet and tub were sparkling clean and appreciated. Kind of over priced for what you receive. I would think it be better priced at about $75 a night considering vs $150 more like a motel 6/8. But I did suffice, needing a night's rest in a jiffy. We will not be returning. Sam might not mind dirty corners walls and trim work and that works but I like to feel comfortable and cleanliness is my forte. But like I said, the staff is super nice I think they just need more staff so they can get this place cleaned up better.

The people who work here were super nice and friendly. That’s where it ends with anything nice to say. There is a slew of negatives, I’ll start with the facilities/location: It’s next to an old abandoned building (which is not the hotels fault, but with two small kids….scary). The road going to the hotel has definitely seen better days, drive slow. The side door closest to our room had an Allen wrench jammed in it to keep the door open 24/7 which is obviously not secure. The pool was closed for maintenance and I have a feeling it’s been closed for a bit. The breakfast looked so yuck that my younger son said no thanks for even trying. The second night here, a guy pulled up in a truck and was on speaker phone talking to some girl about “where do I go, I only have 5 minutes and need to be in and out quick”. While my son was walking our dogs out back. He asked what the guy was talking about. It was pretty obvious. The room: The AC was so inconsistent that I legit had to kick it the middle of the night To get it to turn on. The floors were so nasty, it looked like they haven’t been mopped in a month. My wife got down on the floor with towels and wiped them from the bathroom to the AC. The towels were dark brown. We kept our socks on to walk in the room. The bathroom was the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life. I can’t explain it but it looks like they had a major leak in there and did nothing to clean after. We cut our great family trip down a day because of the room alone.

Property was cheap, so was not expecting much. We got the jacuzzi suite. The room was disgusting. Everything was stained. The room stunk horribly like musty orr water damage had occuried. Woke up congested. Probably should of slept in the car to be honest. Never again.

In website it showed pictures of rooms with nice chairs and couches. When you check in there aren’t any. Also there is no elevator.

The inside of the building was ok, the outside was nasty. They literally have a garbage pile on the grass behind a shed. Im sure the rodents and wild life like it, but as a guest it was concerning. The rooms itself were ok, bed was terrible and you can hear everything in nearby rooms and everything in the hallways as everything echoes. They definitely need art work or something for the walls, especially since they allow pets it can get very loud.

The check in was quick and complete,rooms have been remodeled and are very nice. HVAC system in the room was quiet and worked very well. Breakfast was good with honest to god real eggs.

You get what you pay for i guess. The water pressure in the shower was absolutely non existant. There was a foam padded toilet seat that was cracked(come on, thats gross) the bathroom sink was cracked and the faucet was too small for the sink, water would run on the counter. The tub had a hefty crack in it, like something had dropped in the tub. The water spigot for the fire supression system hangs out of the ceiling on a pipe. The bed caved in the middle so you rolled into the center. The pool and hot tub were closed for maintenance and that was not disclosed beforehand. There was dog poop all over the parking lot by the north entrance and near the main entrance, someone dumped their garbage out of their car. The owners were friendly but the hotel needs some massive updating and cosmetic work.

The location was not appealing, showers need updated. Shower head was rusty and did not feel comfortable taking a shower. Bed was comfortable and other things were great. Customer service was very good

Quiet. Linens clean. Comfortable bed. My tub did not drain. Place needs a deep cleaning. Pool and hot tub are closed. 4 rooms next door were closed and appeared to be construction going on? It has appeared to have gone downhill a little since last summer. Close to Hwy 2 and the airport. Adequate for overnight when you are traveling.

Nobody at front desk when we arrived at about 11:15pm. The lights were dim and it appeared unstaffed. Eventually after calling a posted contact number we were greeted. The first thing we were told was that the hot water had been out of service all day and they were uncertain when it would be fixed. With few options due to having our dog with us we opted to stay. The room wasn’t horrible but it had a bit of a smoky/musty smell. Didn’t bother to check out the breakfast. We were gone by 6am

Fabulous staff! We cannot stress that enough. The staff were kind and helpful.

I was treated excellently, needed a late ck in and was accommodated. I greatly appreciated it.

The room as clean and fine. Note: NO FRONT DESK person 11pm-8am. We went up to watch my uncles band and came back to hotel at midnight.. hotel is lock and only one door you can access with your room key. If you wake up before 8am, you need to go across the street to gas station to get your coffee (but to get back into hotel you need to access the one side door with your room key. Seemed like a decent complimentary breakfast: Staff were friendly and rooms were clean.

The staff was very friendly. She showed us our room to make sure we were satisfied. We didn’t like the room because there was a smell to it. It did not stink, but my husband has allergies. She took us to another room, and it was good. The front desk clerk didn’t have to do that, but they did, which was beautiful. The rooms were very clean. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.

Pool was down, no hot tub. However, that did not get us down. Sometimes things break down and they have a sign about renovations. I rated a 4 for property around as the connecting road is in rough shape by no fault of the hotel though. The best thing of our stay, was the top notch hospitality. When we arrived, our multi party had 5 different rooms and they were super accommodating to moving rooms to conjoin. I also treat every stay away from home like a vacation. The owner was still smiling and kind even though I came down to breakfast in pajamas. She was very attentive to us and I saw her cleaning breakfast area a lot. I saw a review where someone complained it was a cold breakfast. It’s not, there was eggs and sausage as well as a waffle bar. For the price of the hotel, the breakfast was on par. You can either find a cheaper hotel with no breakfast or pay much more for the Hilton to get a Hilton breakfast spread. I would stay again and recommend this hotel due to the welcome feeling and hospitality!

I stood at the check in desk for at least 3 minutes while two hotel staff were there and they didn't acknowledge me at all. After they were finished with whatever they were doing one of them signed me in but it was very awkward, I was with my adult son. No staff on site until somebody meandered in at 6:30 am so I could check out. The hotel is located outside of town near the airport but it is behind a boarded up, vacant building. And the hotel itself appears to be under a slight renovation. Clean and quiet room. The bathroom fan was super loud. Our room was always lit up from the outside and it occurred to me there was probably safety lighting on the side of the building.

We almost didn’t go in to check in, as when we pulled in the lot there was a pile of old mattresses and other assorted junk laying in the parking lot, after driving past the derelict old building next to it, we did not get a feeling of being at a warm safe place to stay. Also a huge conflict regarding our decision to leave a day early as my wife did not feel safe or comfortable staying there.

The hotel is within walking distance to the Bemidji Airport, which is desirable for early morning flights.

Booked this hotel specifically for the pool and they said it was closed right when we got there. There was a sign that said, housekeeping upon request only but you could tell they had been in our room everyday. Breakfast was cold and limited menu, coffee not good either.

Said breakfast. Eggs burned. Ran out of waffle mix. Apple rotten. They needed someone to clean up the area. Tables dirty, greasy, cereal all over counter. I never leave a bad review, but this was awful

The staff was friendly. The food was very good and selection was great. The road was almost impossible to see in the snow and very few signs. Inside was messy due to the work being done. Room was ok. good bed. We don't know if we would stay there again.

Below average in every way. It sits next to a boarded up old Quality Inn. Potholes and debris in the parking lot. Nice new flooring and bathroom counters. Everything else was old and tired. Breakfast was skimpy. We avoided it altogether.

It was clean, there was a variety to choose from for breakfast, good amount of time to make it there too. Service usually available at all times, and the building was quiet and clean.
