Screens had been pried open at some point, bathroom fixtures trying to face the wall, floors dirty, smell where continental breakfast was at too strong to eat at, there was toothbrushes laying outside a lawn mower that hadn't been used in Weeks. They potholes in the parking lot you could fall into they were about a foot deep. They didnt even care about taking deposit for incidental damages because it was so bad. They reused the card holders to save any where they could. If I hadn't already paid I would have found another place. Ut didnt want to drive anymore that day.

I would consider staying here again, but it was a little bit of a mixed bag. The parking lot is in poor shape, but that could be expected in an area with harsh winters. Housekeeping did a great job. Even though my room faced the major intersection nearby, it was quiet. The hotel location is good; near Bemidji State and downtown. The major downside during my stay was a poorly draining bathtub. I was surprised to smell marijuana during my stay. There were no smoking signs on all the doors. I have asthma, but luckily I didn't have any issues.

If I could have given zero stars I would! I have been staying at the Bemidji Super 8 for the last 14 years. This will be the last! It was DISGUSTING!! When we entered the hotel, it reeked so bad of pot, it was overwhelming! Check in was fine, we entered our room and at that point I would have paid for it to smell of pot! It was musty and smelled like a teenage boy who hadn’t showered in days! It was horrible. Turned the air on hoping it would take the smell out but that just blew horrible smelling air! The carpets were filthy, the cover on the bed and mystery stains and the towels had stains and were so thin you could see through them! Never again!!! It has always been a budget motel but at least it was clean….nope not anymore. This place needs to be closed or a total rehaul. YUCK!
