Super 8 by Wyndham Bonne Terre

I was a bit surprised to find out upon arrival that the motel changed hands since my last visit and went to all non smoking rooms. It was booked as smoking and I wasn't notified of the change. That aside, it was a good stay. The new staff was friendly and helpful. Even though the pool heater wasn't working.

Washer don’t work and there was no elevator. Property had that older smell to it but overall stay was good.

The room was clean and the price was reasonable. Ice machine and pop machine were broken but the mgr got ice and brought it to the room and they had a cooler of various drinks behind the counter for sale. Most of the outlets did not work. Friendly, helpful staff.

The hotel is dirty. Our room was ok, but the rest was not. Our room was on the second floor. No elevator. I’m 80 and my husband is 90. So the young guy at the desk saw us struggling with our suitcases and said, "Those stairs are tough." Now we were able to get our suitcases upstairs in several trips, but this guy could certainly have helped. The breakfast was spare. No tea or hot water. Don't stay here.

Pool nice

A quick two night stay in a small town directly in the middle of our planned activities. Small hotel, within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The beds were comfortable and clean. Indoor pool was small and the water was cold but the kids didn't mind! Inexpensive, no frills and great for our trip.

It had a notice sign on front door and at front desk that stated "fire alarm system had been compromised and they are actively working to fix it." Wouldn't give me refund b/c I was not comfortable staying in a hotel that allows smoking in rooms and the fire alarm system was inoperable. It wasn't until I was on the phone with the fire department to confirm safety requirements for hotels did they finally gave me a refund. Place smelled like smoke upon initial entry and I smelled like smoke when I left the hotel. Will never recommend.

The staff was friendly but not pushy. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Love the pool!!

My room stink the floor was wet, no elevator

The staff was very friendly at check-in. The hotel is pretty run down but basically functional. The 1st floor has smoking rooms and you can smell the smoke through out the building. None of the vending machines were working. The Continental breakfast was sub par. (Who eats bagels without cream cheese?) The room was very musty but clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. I was told at check-in that they were under new management and they were working on improving the hotel. We stayed there because it was close to family.

Dirty carpet, room smelled like a smoking room. Sheets and towels smelt like cigarettes.

Very noisy even at midnight. Could here all activities through every wall and ceiling. Smelled horribly of cigarette smoke despite “no smoking “ signs everywhere. Burn holes in bedding. Nasty deposits on the furniture that had clearly not been wiped or cleaned. Shower head absolutely disgusting. Extremely poorly kept facility.

Good value. Bed was a bit firm but comfy. Good crisp sheets. Room and bathroom were clean. Water pressure was perfect. Although it’s obviously an older property, it was updated. We loved the added bonus of a swamp view out our window.

Place is well past its prime loose faucet, dirty hair dryer. Stained and corroded shower. Wi-Fi slow. Overflowing dumpster near entrance to lobby.

They have bed bugs, blood stain on the blankets, roaches were clawing on the wall and the room smelled really bad. It didn’t even looked liked they clean it. Plus they charged me an extra 21 dollars because I didn’t put my 11 daughter on there.

The staff was great. The room was disgusting. The sheets were dirty, and had some brown pieces of something on them. We went to the front desk and got clean sheets. The carpet was beyond disgusting so we layed the dirty sheets down on the floor to have something to walk on. The room stunk really bad. The bathroom was good. The furnishing were good as well.

We found cockroaches in our room. The 'pond' behind the hotel had a lot of trash in it. Even though we paid for a non-smoking room, both bedspreads had cigarette burns in them and the rooms smelled of cigarette smoke.

We were in town for scuba, diving certification, and spent one evening at this hotel. You get what you pay for, and the price was right, which is why we stayed here. Other than a musty smell in the room I was pleased at how exceptionally clean the room was. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the sheets were like new.

Almost impossible to find at night because they didn’t turn their sign on and it was ticked away from the street. Checked in, they put me on the 2nd floor with no elevator halfway down the hall. I tried to use the back door to make a shorter trip unloading but the card reader did not work. Then I saw a drug deal going down in the parking lot. Next, the instructions on the a/c unit were worn off so bad that you had to guess which position of the knobs was correct.The hot/cold knob just spun completely around with no stop to tell you what you were actually. Then the other knob refused to shut off at all. The carpets there are filthy and the furnishings are waaay out of date. The mattress was good.

It was cheap. The bathroom had no shower curtain

This room was clapped out. The chair and foot stool where broken. Every piece of furniture was scratched up. However, it was cheap and i only needed a bed to sleep in.

Location was great. I am a short person so the bed was a little to high. otherwise all was fine

Mattresses too firm. Lumpy pillows..they actually sucked. Had trouble getting in room because handle was all jacked up. They offer free breakfast, but it’s only waffles, orange juice and Luke warm coffee. We’ll never stay there again. On a further note, I will never book thru Expedia again. Expedia did not follow thru with their promises.

One light bulb was out and light out in bathroom too high of bed

The TV didn't work the phone didn't work and the coffee maker didn't work. They only fixed the TV. The refrigerator worked though

The Staff is very Friendly and the Rooms are nice and Clean ! Shopping and Dining is Close by ! Really enjoyed the Stay 😎

The people were rude.

Staff was very friendly

Our prior stay (which was so horrible that it ended up we did NOT stay) really soured us to Wyndham. However, the location where we stayed had limited options, so we stayed at a Wyndham again. This time our stay was pleasant, in large part due to the the young man behind the counter.

The owner was very helpful

The manager ripped me off for the price of a night. Demanded a giant deposit after claiming there was smoking in the room when there wasn't. Was not helpful for the refund process.did not tell me about deposits until I'd paid for room on Expedia and could not get a refund... The hotel grounds were filthy. The carpets in the building are stained.

What can be said. It is a Super 8. Essentially the closest hotel to the Bonne Terre Mine, where we were going to be diving. The room was adequate. There was a hole in the blanket, but didn't affect its function. I really can't complain considering the reasonably cheap price.

The price was best overall. It was close to shopping. It was. A nice time. I would recommend this to others that are in the area.

Clean roon, great location at a great price

I felt very afraid coming and going to my room inside the motel. I frequently heard yelling and cussing, which also kept me awake most of the night. There was a man walking around in his robe staring at me in the hallways a lot. I don't recommend staying here.

Breakfast could be better

Didn’t like anything! It was a place to stop for the night. If I knew how bad it was going to be, I would have stayed somewhere else. Smokers with big dogs at the entrance. Disgusting and my wife battling cancer, as we are on our way to Mayo in MN for surgery. Had to carry our service dog to get past them. Was asked what services my service animal performed, which is against HIPPA and completely rude! FAA doesn’t even ask questions like that and I was asked both when I checked in and when we checked out. The rooms appeared clean, but the amount of chemicals used to cover up smells was nauseating and gave me a headache. The bedding had stains and holes all over. Cigarette burns in the carpet of nonsmoking rooms. “Free breakfast” was definitely not worth staying there for. Prob the worst hotel bfast I’ve seen. Make your own waffles was the best part. Lol Bad looking fruits, Frosted Flakes and Raisin Bran cereal choices, only yoplait strawberry yogurt, white bread, and the “orange juice” was nothing more than a cheap version of sunny D or Tang, not remotely juice! The coffee and accessories was awful as well. Only used styrofoam products but had a microwave??? Anyway, probably one of the WORST hotels we have ever stayed at and we have stayed at some bad ones!!! NOT RECOMMENDED and may prevent me from ever staying at another Wyndham hotel in the future.

They could have a bigger breakfast

The room was clean enough, and the bed was fairly comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly and check-in was quick. It’s definitely a budget motel - furnishings were dated, and the bathroom could use some upgrades. The grab-and-go breakfast had some basics like coffee, muffins, and yogurt.
