Super 8 by Wyndham Higginsville

The lobby was really cool with a fireplace and big picture that said Higginsville. They have an entertainment room that I haven't seen in a lot of places with a pool table, slot machines, video games, snack machines, ice, washer/dryer. The rooms are updated, quiet, and comfortable. We chose this property because it is a super easy 20 minute drive from the hospital in Warrensburg and about $100-$150 cheaper than any of the hotels in Warrensburg. We would stay here again.

They were replacing carpet so it was under construction. It did have a strong smell.

Hotel is run down and dirty- my room had moldy water seeping in from recent rains. Smoke detector batteries weee Low so the alarm was going off all the time.

Why pay a ton when this facility has everything the pricier options have? Plus the back of the property has a LOVELY yard that backs to a woods that was fabulous for my dog and I! The owner is wonderful and kind. Come visit!

Tv remote didn't work well. The Window AC unit kept going off and on all night. Didn't stay cool.

When we arrived check-in went well. Got to the room, 267 and the toilet leaked. Upon letting the front desk clerk know, we were informed that there was no maintenance on staff. They would try and get someone in the next day to fix it. Went to dinner, returned to our room and our room keys did not work. Made three trips to the front desk and had no luck. they had to use the housekeeping key. The next day explained to the manager what was going on, asked for a new room, they were all booked. Would try to fix the toilet. Went to spend the day with my ill mother, did not get back to the motel until 8. They had no room and did not fix the toilet. Being elderly ourselves we were concerned about slipping on a wet floor. told they could not fix the toilet while our things were still in there. They never told or even explained that our luggage needed to be removed from the room before they would fix it. It went down hill from there. I traveled 650 miles to see me ill mother and we had nothing but rude attitude. No compensation for the night we spent there. After the comment was made that if we slipped and fell, they would be talking to our lawyer. We were told that they did not want us there. Had to find another hotel for the other nights. Had to travel farther than we wanted. Not a good experince.

It worked for what we needed it for, the drain drained slow, and I could see long black hair in it, and there was no plug for the bathtub, so if we wanted a bath we couldn't have taken one. When we got in the room, it looked like someone had pulled back part of one side of the bed and sat on it.? But overall it was okay.

Nice manager and staff. Building is old, run down and the room we were in had a very bad odor.

No idea about breakfast or laundry we left asap. The flooring in the room and hall quite ugly and dirty looking. Makes one wonder about surfaces that look ok, but.... The on duty man was unaccommodating about a 3rd person and dog. In fairness though there us no way to notify that a dog is along. We just felt uncomforin the hotel.

My wife, dog, & I had a fantastic experience at this Super 8! Very polite staff, nice green area to walk our dog, & very quiet location especially so close to I-70. We are thankful that the room felt so clean and welcoming. We didn’t game advantage but they also had a small game room down the hall to enjoy!

The walls, doors, and base boards were very dirty, the rest of the room was clean and well kept. The shower/tub drain was very slow to drain. Unfortunately, there was High school football team who was very disruptive on the second floor. The site managers had their hands full trying to keep them inline. We/I have stayed there several time and is very convenient for us on our travels. Staff is always Plesant and accommodating.

Cleanest hotel ive stayed with in years. The rooms and bathroom were nice and clean. Breakfast was a nice selection of cereal, toast, fruit,yogurt, waffles,coffee,milk,juices etc.... The lady that checked me in was nice and helpful. And in the morning i saw a young man who seemed to work there was alittle grumpy but i was leaving shortly after breakfast so i didn't let him ruin my day.

Just wanted to say yes although it is a Super 8 and they typically aren’t the best of places to spend time or stay. The Higginsville location supersedes the stereo type. Cleanliness and friendliness was beyond what I could ask for. Housekeeping showed up on time to a tee every day of my stay. And the location is perfect. I’ll definitely stay at this location on my next trip to the state

The room was clean very nice. The bed was comfortable. The water pressure was good in the shower. Overall a nice place to stay.

Close to where we were meeting with others. Motel needs some updating, especially the bathroom. Staff was very friendly. Check in was fast. Very noisy in our bottom floor room, from foot traffic upstairs. No coffee pot in room.

Clean modern room

It was fine. Not great but not fantastic either. It was old, with old fixtures and plumbing and had a weird smell. Luckily we didn’t pay much for the room so we weren’t super surprised at the condition. The bed was comfortable though

Recently update rooms, clean, and quick check in.

So this is definitely not a 5/5 like a lot of recent reviews with say. It is a dated hotel that does need attention. This is your typical hotel that has not been kept up with when it comes updating/repairs being done correctly. When we stay at a hotel we rate the property on price, good AC, hot water, safe location and comfortable bed/pillows. This property did have good AC. We had plenty of hot water whenever we wanted it. The bed was very comfortable but needed a couple of more pillows as they were really soft. The location I felt very safe and had a lot of green space to take our dog out and move around. No USB plugs, standard outlets and very limited/dim lighting. Room did have mini fridge and a microwave As for being clean the room could use a good cleaning. Bath/shower head was very dirty, corners in the bathroom floor did need to be cleaned better but really needed to be replaced, also the carpet did have lots of spots/stains, wasn't dirty just areas that something that had been spilled/damaged. With everything that I have stated about this property I would still come back for the right price. Nothing I saw here would have kept me from coming back to the property again for one more stay.

The hotel was a bit older, but the A/C and lighting was great - I really liked the backlit mirror for putting on my makeup.

The rooms are clean and the hotel very quite. Simple breakfast available with cold pastries and a waffle maker, but not much more. That’s fine with me as I don’t need a huge breakfast. Staff is always super nice and accommodating. I stay here a few times a year to visit family.

We had a pleasant stay here with our Frenchie. It was conveniently located and the staff was very friendly!

The clerk cancelled our reservation one hour before we arrived (7:30) and would not reinstate it. We will have to dispute the charge. The room was filthy and smelling of smoke. Even the wall plug for the hair dryer was covered in filth.

Rented double room . I was charged a extra 30 dollars for Daughter who end up having to stay with us since her friends backout on her. Im 60 yrsold stayed in many motels . Have had many double rooms never been charged person ever. Then they didnt clean our room Saturday for Saturday night had no towels are toilet. Had to ask for them only was given two and paper. Lady was hateful at desk . Then found out they had ran cards thursday for payment on card we gace to hold room . Was planning on paying with another one. Did daughter's group sameway and they had canceled thiers due to friends not being able to come. Found blood on sheets gross. Faucets had not been used in so long you almost needed pilliers to get them to turn. And upstairs sounded like they where horses up there running around.

Was prompted for early checkin, pre, got to the motel and they had no record of it, breakfast was mediocre, cereal or waffle.

I am on a tight budget and search carefully for the most economical deal for lodging. We are traveling with a cat so we search for pet friendly hotels. This hotel turned out to be a great disappointment because I was quoted a price which was a nonrefundable price but when I arrived I was told that I owed an addy $16 for my cat. This additional fee was not ever disclosed until I checked in. This turned out to make this stay much more expensive than we planned. Most budget hotels such as motel 6 and red roof do not charge an additional fee so I am sorry that I chose this hotel. It was also disappointing in that we only had one queen bed rather than a king. Although the fee quoted was economical I do not feel that I got good value. It was not a very nice room or breakfast. The food (waffle, biscuit, sausage gravy) all tasted sour and the coffee was terrible. I left with a very negative feeling and I doubt that I will ever stay in this brand again. They need to rethink charging so much for a cat!

Solid affordable option. Older facility kept in order. Breakfast could have more hot components than just a hot drink to otherwise cold menu.

We were doing a quick overnight to get home from a vacation. Not a bad motel. Was supposed to have breakfast from 6 to 9 but no one was in breakfast area at 6:30. I do not like to pay for something I did not get, so I am leaving a meh review.

Coffee cups in room. But NO COFFEE MAKER. The selection of TV channels was awful. No channel guide. No napkins at breakfast. Shabby areas all over the lobby area.

The hotel rooms and common areas were clean upon our arrival for a two night stay. After our first night stay we left for the day. Upon our return for our second night, we found the room untouched with our used bath linens still on the floor. My wife went to the desk and was told rooms are only cleaned upon request. We asked for new towels and were told a 1to1 exchange was required. We gathered our 2 towel, 2 washcloths and the bath mat and exchanged them at the front desk. During our stay we only saw one employee and when we asked we were told this property was not a normal super8 and not affiliated with any major brand. Breakfast was ok. The coffee was fresh and hot there was fresh fruit, 3 cereals and an assortment of breakfast breads. The high point was the make your own waffle

Bitter cold night, this hotel provided a quite safe night rest plus a continental breakfast with much needed coffee.
