Hollywood Casino St. Louis

We stayed here overnight after attending a concert at the amphitheater. Hotel was clean and convenient and we used the shuttle service to & from the venue. would definitely stay here again when coming to a concert. We can a little early and check-in was fast and friendly. Shuttle was they way to get to & from the concert. Went to the coffee shop in the morning to grab a quick bite and coffee for the road.

Nice hotel, great casino but not worth the high price and resort fees when there is no pool, no hot tub, ECT. It's just the casino. We enjoyed our stay (came for a concert) but would've been nice to have more to do at the hotel besides gamble.

Called about early check-in and the CS rep was very nice and helpful. Stayed bc of the shuttle to the amphitheatre. ($15 rt) Not knowing any better, I parked close to the main entrance. So if you're a hotel guest, you'll want to be in the parking garage connected to the hotel. This avoids lugging luggage up the 30ish steps out front. Can definitely smell smoke in the casino 'wing'--the walkways/common area, without even going into where the games are. Looks like the rooms have been remodeled in the last year or two. The lighted makeup mirror that extends out from the wall is too high if you're like 5'6 and under. Bathroom has the trendy but impractical sliding 'barn door'. I always marvel that enough people thought that was a good idea. No vent fan. No overhead vanity lights. Shower only. No make up remover towelettes. Mini fridge. There's a light by the door and wall lighting above nightstands. No floor lamp in the corner by the chair, and no light for the desk. Charging ports and outlets by bed and on TV. Old school type cable with the little delay when u change channels. Time for an upgrade. Only options for food when I got back late after the concert was Thai or chili dogs. Was told there were vending machines near the elevator on each floor. Disappointed that it was only pop and ice. I'd think a hotel and casino of that size would have some snack options available. It's very common for hotels to have a little 'store' in the lobby.

Front desk service was absolutely amazing. The staff was not as prepared for a tornado as they should be. Seemed no employee really knew what to do or how to get guests to safety. Not good. Most staff were excellent at bar, restaurants and casino. The food at the coffee bar was gross. Disappointed the smokehouse was closed. Despite website, there are no free drinks while you gamble. Rooms were just fine, nice to have a fridge. Glad to have a shuttle to concert venue but $15 is a bit much.

This hotel was very convenient for getting to concert at Amphitheatre. The shuttle is reasonably priced and organized. When you get there a separate shuttle entrance is available. The phone in the hotel room did not work. I had to walk to desk at midnight. There is no late night food and only one vending machine , which is on the second floor. It was broken and many people were trying to use it. If you gamble and go to concerts this hotel makes sense. The staff was very friendly.

The bed is very uncomfortable. Sore neck, back and body from that 1 night sleep. Unfortunately. No amenities at all, no coffee in lounge area, no pool, nothing. Layout is confusing to get to parking garage, have to go to main floor to cross to garage. ONLY convenient if going to Amphitheater. But would not stay here again.

Having restaurants available to eat was great love the variety of slot machines. Need better smoke ventilation but I realize I live in an environment catered to smoking people since I’m in the minority. Definitely will be back to stay

Excellent property free parking is always a very nice perk!!!

The stay was perfect except for the the morning when we were leaving. My husband and I were stuck in the elevator for an hour. Not one staff member had a master key to open the doors. We had to wait on the fire department to come and get us out.

Always clean, well maintained, reasonably priced and wonderful staff at both the hotel and casino.

Room was not clean. Nothing more needs to be said.

The room seemed old to me. Flooring in the bathroom was sticky and there were spots on the bedroom floor where something was spilled. Cobwebs were in the corners.

The desk staff seemed more concerned with taking their break. The room is dusty and everything is worn. The bathroom leaves a lot to be desired, like an actual door and toilet paper that you can’t see through. The refrigerator makes noises and my view sucks. I expected more. Some of the restaurants aren’t even open the first few days of the week and the one shop to buy stuff closes at 5.

I liked the 2 staff members I had a conversation with. (Maya and Bill). I made Maya aware of a couple things in our room that were not satisfactory (One was that the floors were NOT cleaned at all and the other was the shower had mold/mildew in the corners). Maya gave us a $25 room credit to use, which we appreciated. Then, going to bed at night was not great, the bed was broken down on one side AND the bathroom sink was backing up. I made Bill aware if those items this morning and he said someone from the hotel would call me today about this. He apologized and was very concerned and assured me that this was unacceptable and not typical.

Requesting a full refund. I checked into my room at in Sunrise room 714 to discover a terrible suprise. A blood spot on the bed. I immediatlely took photos of this and requested another room. Tyasia was fantasic with her customer support during this choas. This is a casino a I began to like.... to bring my friends to a nightmare. Im demanding a comp. room for this inconvience. This has been a terrible experience and exausting. Not to mention the safe box that began ticking and going off when I was trying to get some sleep for work. I placed it in the hallway since apparently no one cleans are inspects the room. I really have no words... not happy. Please confirm with photos attached. Gross. This may be the most unprofessional thing ive ever found. Seeking immediate conpensation. Oh... also your phone lines dont work when seeking help. What a mess.

Never cleaned my room in 3 days

Our bedding was soiled with body fluids of some sort from the guest before us when we arrived to our room. I called they brought in new bedding and left it for us to make ourselves then a maid came and made it up for us after all but just threw the blankets on the mattress and called it done. The floors were filthy covered in debris, the toilet was dirty I am unsure if it was even cleaned at all the desk clerks were rude and acted annoyed that we needed CLEAN bedding. The light fixtures were hanging out of the ceiling and the light switches had smears of something all over them. It was just gross.

We stayed here one night for a concert. Maybe I was expecting more because it supposed to be a nice fancy place. When we checked in I went into the bathroom and noticed there was red hair in the shower and the counter was dirty. I called the front desk and they sent someone right up to take care of it. Which was fantastic, great service. On the flip side if the housekeeper would have done his/her job correctly in the first place this wouldn’t have been an issue. The shuttle to and from concert was great! The people were awesome! The room itself I give a 2 because of the dirty bathroom but also the beds are VERY uncomfortable. There are several spots in the room and hotel that need to be repaired. If you are going to a concert at Hollywood Amphitheater and need a place to stay and just need a place to crash your head then stay here. It is close and the shuttle service is very nice.

The room was fine but the bed was HORRIBLE! It definitely needs to be replaced.

The air conditioning was bad, we had to set it on 60 just for it to be decent in the room. The room was small with small chairs, no microwave.

Everything was great with one exception, the bed could have been more comfortable.

We stayed in the rodeo director suite and it was gorgeous. It was clean, spacious and modern. We especially appreciated the separate living space with an additional bathroom. The main bathroom has two sinks and a big jetted tub. Everything was first class. The fridge had water and a few soda pops. We were wishing that we could stay another night.

I really like the rooms. The only complaint I have is that I cannot connect my phone to the TV to play Netflix no matter what I try.

Rooms don’t block out noise too well

Visited from Washington state, our stay was terrific and the staff were polite & helpful. Our only negative takeaway, the bathroom door is barn style and just would not stay closed. This left a crack in the door way which was closest to the main door. This door provided absolutely no privacy. :-/

Folks at the front desk were wonderful. The room was very clean. Nicely decorated. The bed was terrible, I'm pas military and a military cot has more comfort than the bed in the room

Was perfect for what we needed. Rooms are a little dated. Had sunset tower and view was of roof, it needs a little tlc but worked for us.

I recently stayed at the Hollywood Casino Hotel and wanted to share some feedback about my experience. When my secretary booked two nights for me, I was pleased with the choice, but I was surprised upon check-in to see, in addition to the standard $50 incidental charge, a $13-per-day “amenity fee.” When I asked the front desk what this covered, I was told it included parking. I was quite surprised by this, as the parking garage is not connected to the hotel, and I had to park in the front lot and climb about twenty stairs to reach the main level. It was the longest walk from parking to a room that I’ve experienced at any hotel. Another listed amenity was cable television, but the channels were very basic and lacked a guide. On a positive note, the bed, pillows, air quality, and water pressure were excellent. However, the cold-water faucet was difficult to turn on and off, and the shampoo and body wash dispensers were empty. I did appreciate that the bed linens and pillowcases were clearly fresh and replaced between guests. The bar service was excellent—the drinks were well made, and the staff was very friendly. Overall, the team members were pleasant and professional. If not for the questionable amenity fee, I would have been satisfied with my stay. My company will soon be developing a major project in St. Charles, and I had considered recommending your property for our investors and contractors. However, this experience makes me think I should explore other nearby option

Very friendly staff

My daughter and I stayed for a night for the Conan Gray concert. Everything and everyone was very organized, knowledgeable, and friendly. This will not be the last time we stay for a visit. Excellent service!

The most disappointing thing that I did not care for was being lied to multiple times about shuttle service. I was told several times that this hotel offered shuttle service to and from the airport. Only two employees told me that the hotel only has one shuttle driver and they are only available on select days during the week. The only shuttle service provided was to and from the amphitheater for an event. This facility is too far out of the way from everything. It's only convenient for an overnight stay for an event.

The queue for check-ins was at least 10 deep when I arrived, front desk staff were remarkably proficient and I was on my way to my room in just a few short moments. Overall pleasant stay

The staff and property are great. Expedia, however, marketed a room to me as “sleeps 4” with a king and a regular sofa. That does not work for a group of 4 people. It took a couple of hours for us to sort out a solution with the hotel, who worked hard despite it not being their fault. Not happy with Expedia, but the Hollywood Casino was great otherwise!

Everything was great but very annoying housekeepers start knocking on your door at 930am to see if you have checked out yet and one time they opened the door to check. Has happened the 3 times i stayed here...check out at 11am not 930am, i feel rushed like they ready for you to get out

I was really hoping to like the hotel due to enjoying the casino but for last night being the first ever staying at the hotel was not a good experience. Checking in fine but the service afterwards was the greatest. There was no toilet paper or tissue in the room, called twice to the desk. I ended up walking to the lobby for the restroom because it took 30 minutes for someone to bring tissue and toilet paper to the room. The next morning the bathroom smelt like sewage which seemed to come from the shower. The room next door had an alarm going off for an hour, called the desk to let them know but the alarm was still going off after I checked out. Very disappointed and unfortunately won’t go back.

The room was clean. And very nice. And was a short walk from our concert.

Very clean even when busy. Kind of pricey for what you get. The fridge only sort of worked. The location and shuttle was the winning factors.

Alright, so the only reason we stayed at this place — and I mean the only — was the location. Right near the concert venue. Walkable. No Uber. No nonsense. Just feet on pavement, baby. So yeah, that part? Solid. No complaints. Now the room itself? Look, it wasn’t disgusting. It just... felt like maybe someone had tried to clean it in a rush before having a nervous breakdown. You know what I mean? Like it was technically clean, but emotionally? Still processing something. And then there’s the public areas — aside from the lobby, which was clearly trying to convince itself it was in Vegas — everything else smelled like a combination of second-hand smoke, faded dreams, and maybe an old slot machine technician named Jerry who hasn’t smiled since 2004. Just this general aura of low-stakes sadness. We grabbed lunch at one of the on-site restaurants. You could feel it was a new rebrand for burger and beer joint. Like, “Hey, maybe if we slap some game tables in here people won’t notice this was a BBQ joint 12 months ago.” But you know what? The food was actually good. Legit. Like someone back there still gives a damn, or at least used to be a line cook with something to prove. So yeah. Would I go back? Only if the band’s playing again and I can’t feel my legs.

Would highly recommend staying here. Especially if you are attending a concert atcthe nearby amphitheater.

It was located next to the Hollywood amphitheater where our concert was. It was conveniently located close to the interstate.

The hotel check in was easy, free garage parking was great! Rooms are nice and a good value. The restaurant was delicious and fast. Our room and hallway had a slight smell of smoking. The convenience of being able to walk to our concert outweighed any of the negative.

The hotel was great for seeing a performance at the amphitheater. It was clean. The restaurant choice was lacking and without a reservation you are not going to eat in time to get to the concert. This was not ideal. On Saturday morning we went down for breakfast only to be told that they weren’t taking anymore tables even though there were multiple empties. The coffee shop offered a great breakfast and coffee. Everything else was wonderful. I did not visit the casino.

I liked the shuttle for sure! I did not like the steak restaurant. We waited FOREVER for food, and it wasn't that great. We got steaks and baked potatoes. The steaks had no flavor and were overcooked.

The hotel was fine. Nothing special but also clean with a friendly staff. Disappointed that the restaurants closed early. We went to the amphitheater and everything was closed when we got back. The outside is pretty dated and needs a refresh but the inside was relatively nice. We did not go to the casino.

The room was clean. If you stay for a concert the shuttle line is very long and by the time you get back to the hotel, the restaurants are all closed. If you have a 24 hr casino, there should be a 24hr food.

Overall nice hotel, but let me speak for all the people walking around the hotel the morning after a concert looking for food. How/why in the world would a hotel/casino not serve a breakfast, and no that pasty place does not count..

We love that we can shuttle to and from the concerts. Imagine Dragons was so large and I felt check in and shuttles did amazing for the flow of people. The only down side was when we had breakfast at 99 diner Saturday morning. The food was great but the service was horrible. We were totally ignored after the food was delivered. We had to ask a busier to get our waitress for our check. Whom it took another 30 minutes to get back to us. Other than that it was a very nice experience

Perfect spot if seeing a concert at stl music park or hollywood casino but the hop house could stay open past 11 for food and drink. We saw many turned away that were willing to spend their money
