Super 8 by Wyndham Potosi

When booking it stated breakfast was part of the price, but they were renovating, so no breakfast. Ok so we get to our room and the room wasn’t cleaned. There was an open bar of soap in the shower/ bath. The floors were dirty, walking from the bath (which I bleached) to the bed my feet were dirty. I had a local state most people have been happy that he’d spoken to, but that was not my experience.

My sister and I booked the last room for a Saturday night. The front desk gentleman was very friendly. The room was fairly clean. The bathroom could have used a good scrubbing and a new shower curtain that wasn’t moldy. Not too much for breakfast except cereal, waffle or danish. The outside entrance to the 2nd floor was not locked and had a piece of duct tape over the latch. Not too safe. I’ve stayed at a lot better and somewhat worse.

The pictures online were deceiving. My husband and I never actually stayed because after spending 5 minutes in the room checking it out we were both so disgusted that we immediately began looking for other options. The property was under construction for a remodel so i will give them some grace for not offering breakfast. Our room smelled so bad when we first walked in that my husband checked the air filters in the air condition unit. It was caked with hair and lint and who knows what else. We always check the mattress which had questionable black dots in each corner. The bedspread had several cigarette hole burns in it. The bathroom smelled like urine and the towels looked like rats had chewed them. The bathroom itself was NOT clean. I say on the bed to look for other places to stay and the overwhelming smell of ammonia was making me light headed. We left and found a hotel room at Twin Eagle Lakes Resort. It was absolutely beautiful. Ended up paying LESS for resort property per night than the $95 (2 nights) we paid for the Super 8. Didn't even want or money back we just wanted out of that awful room.

I unfortunately stayed at this property while they were under renovation. I appreciate the new look and hope it serves future people staying there. Unfortunately I was here for a quick stay and payed the extra to be here because of the amenities instead of a smaller place. After waiting in the lobby for 10 minutes and eventually using the house phone to call, I was informed they had no ice, coffee, or the breakfast advertised and promised through their listing on Expedia. I asked them for a few dollars to at least get a coffee at the gas station and they refused. I went next door and got them some danishes so the next person could have SOMETHING for breakfast, but feel they could have advised me at the time of checking in, or better when they sent the confirmation? Just lack of care for their clients. It was sad.

Good value and clean rooms, facility a bit dated.

Didn’t know if I should sleep in the sheets or on top of the bed but that’s a typical Super eight stay. We’re just looking for a place to sleep. This is your place. Breakfast was very lacking only cereal and waffles no fruits or vegetables no diabetic options much less healthy options. Rather disappointed.

Room was very clean. Bed was comfortable and plenty of pillows. The only issue was not enough towels for showers. Staff was great.

Room was very dirty. Found blood on blanket on bed. A/c unit was very dirty. Filter appeared have not been cleaned in years. Lights did not work because of blown bulbs. And got eaten up by bed bugs.

There was mold in the tray of the fridge and cockroaches

Will not be back. Carpet was filthy, bedspread was dirty. Sheets had spots, towels were old and worn. Hair that wasn't ours in the shower. Woke up with my back hurting. There was not a fire alarm in the room and there was an open pocket knife in the bedspread. TV reception was very bad. Needless to say we cut our trip short.

Stains that look like blood on sheets/blankets

I have stayed here several times. First time the room was clean. The second time it was acceptable. The third time it was not -- dirty sock with a used wash cloth beside the bed, crumbs alongside of the fridge, fridge needed cleaning, drawers were dirty. I am not sure that I will stay here again.

Traffic is heavy around the area, so constant noise from highways. Room smells of smoke but is designated as non-smoking and evidence of previous smoking in the bathroom. Overall not bad for a 2 star hotel in this day and age.

The hotel gave great value for the price. The room lighting was a bit lacking, perhaps they use low wattage bulbs to save on electricity?

Clean room, comfy beds and staff is friendly!

Upon arrival, my initial impression was, "It's a Super8 and it looks like every other Super8". You enter the lobby and it was neat and clean but a little weather worn. The staff were very friendly and check in was fast and uncomplicated. This was the best experience of the stay. When I arrived at my room, it was hot, drab and musty smelling. I had to leave immediately for a meeting so I thought, "I'll turn on the AC and get some air moving and it will be okay". I turned it on, placed my items in the dresser and left. Upon returning many hours later, I found the room cool but now it smelled like musty cigarettes. I guess it was an old smokers room. At least it was cooler. All the bulbs are very small so even with the majority of lights on, the room is still very dim. I went and turned down the bed and there was my next surprise. Either housekeeping didn't change the linen or they did a horrible job of making the bed. Also, the sheets were so worn that they were threadbare in several places. The pillows were no better and were many years past their useful life. Fortunately for me, this isn't my first go round so I always have spare bed linen and a pillow in my vehicle. The carpet did look vacuumed but based on the bed, I decided to keep my shoes on. Next, time for a shower before bed. The bathroom was clean but poorly lit. At least the towels and shower were clean. I didn't expect a Marriott level of hotel for the price I paid, but I did expect a clean room. I won't be back.

This Super 8 was a very pleasant stay, this time I got a 2nd floor room. I think this hotel has great value, my bathroom was wonderful and well maintained. There were some signs that flooring needs to be replaced, and my room was missing the chain-style lock. Other than those issues, I felt secure with my extended overnight stay. Location is a bit noisy and fairly busy, but it was very comfortable for sleeping IMHO given those factors.

Property was ok. Location was to be desired. When we got to our room, the air conditioner was not working. It looked old. We were switched to a different room. The breakfast bar had no protein offerings so we skipped it the next day.

The room was very good for the price.

Wasn’t fancy but was everything we needed to spend two days in town while visiting family.

There's no bed bugs as some of the "big rich" people said. We checked in here with my kids, they're in the middle of renovations but the room we were in was spacious and comfortable. NO BED BUGS!!!

Good water pressure for showers. Beds were comfortable.

Staff was awesome and room was comfortable and affordable.

The clerk was somewhat rude upon checking in. Room was ok on cleanliness. Penny in the middle of the floor and debris behind the bathroom door. Bed was comfortable and clean.

The desk clerk went above and beyond. All of the non-smoking rooms were sold out online but he made sure I had one! The check-in process was very easy and the staff was very friendly! Would highly recommend.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

Front Service Desk person very nice and friendly and made the whole process checking in and checking out easy.

All staff were very kind, this was one of the nicest Super 8s we've been to, as far as price, staff, and overall satisfaction with the room.

The check-in personnel girl was outstanding. (I'm embarrassed that I don't recall her name.) Mutual friends welcomed us in the lobby. Pre-check-in assigned a room that was not the best condition. However our check-in girl proved to be a real friend and recommended a second floor room that was likely safer and cleaner. What a sweetheart. We really appreciate this form of kindness in situations like ours.

There where people slamming things around all night called management and they did nothing about the issue. It was like these people could just do whatever they wanted with no regards to anyone else who was staying in the hotel and the manager didn't do a thing about it. We had requested a room inside because we didn't not like the door being outside of the building and the manager again refused our request. I was not happy with anything about my stay there and I do not think we will ever return to this location again

Clean room. Friendly staff. They allowed us to check in early and changed our room from king bed to 2 double beds, easily.

Hotel was clean. Walkable to grocery. Just fine place to stay in a small town. Employee was friendly.

Staff and management is friendly they are helpful love how the room looks and it’s easy to get to places that are near by to eat or shop

Property was in poor condition. Our room had only one drinking cup. We found a pair of used socks in our bed. Very limited options for breakfast (waffles, cereal, & sweet rolls). The orange juice was terrible (tasted rancid).

The room was absolutely DISGUSTING. Nothing looked, felt, or smelled clean. I will never stay at this place again. The lobby appeared clean so I "assumed" the room would be clean. There was several (As many as 10) cigarette burns in the recliner chair. Finally went to buy air freshner but it wasn't enough to help. Free breakfast is also a joke. Go to McDonalds. Free is too expensive for this place. Sorry...

I didn't have high expectations when I booked because it was the only choice for this town. But, the lady who checked us in was very polite and helpful, owner(I'm assuming) was friendly. The room was clean and warm. Bed was comfortable and the pillows were good and there was 4 on the bed. Tv worked fine as well. No bugs seen, I was on the second floor. Don't expect the Ritz, but I've paid much more for less. Could use some eggs/meat for breakfast but waffles and cereal were fine.
