Studio 6 Extended Stay - Ocean Springs, MS

My room was billed as nonsmoking but it was obvious that in the past it had been a smoking room as the lingering smell of cigarettes was obvious. Also, cigrette butts littered the grounds and hallways. The motel is listed as pet friendly but the $10 per day fee is not mentioned. Otherwise I was surprised at the quality of the lodging which was better than I have come to expect from a "budget friendly" establishment.

Nice big room loved the kitchenette

The property itself is great. They take good care of the rooms and property and the staff was friendly and helpful. Coin laundry on site if you don’t want to take laundry home. The only down side is it’s beside an apartment complex and behind a gas station. It’s a bit transient and a lot of foot traffic through the property. There are cameras everywhere and the front desk put us in a room next to the office because I was traveling alone with children. I felt safe at all times, but if I was staying for an extended visit, I’d probably find somewhere a little more remote. Overall, it’s a great property with clean rooms at a very reasonable price.

The rooms all have kitchenettes. Very clean, great tvs and channels.

Dirty floors, look like they have never been cleaned. Kitchen with no glasses etc, knob missing from stove top. No elevator for second floor Office closes at 8pm No ice or cups other than for coffee Permanent sign stating problem with laundry so reuse towels, but when I went by laundry they were using it Room is only cleaned after you have been there for 3 days. Very little water from shower head A dump, if inspected would probably be closed

Room 240 The room was nice ... but the microwave kept beeping on& off ... && the refrigerator did not get cold at all

Has a frig and freezer microwave tro burner stove . It's roomy and comfy. Other than no ice machine this place is a great value

Bring your own pots and pans , soap and other kitchen items you'll need. Full size fridge somewhat can keep a good amount of items in there and freezer.

The lobby staff was very friendly and attentive. The room was very clean and nice. The location was very convenient to town and shopping. The only down side was the lack of an ice machine on property. If you want ice you have to remember to go buy some from the neighboring gas station before they close. Otherwise, I enjoyed my stay.

I loved the little kitchen area

Arrived from florida on the 4th of july to spend one night visiting my brother and his wife abd the moment we got to the place it was bad. The check in office was packed full of people. Seemed to be mismanaged terribly. The manager never wanted to come out of the office to help the two women. When we finally got to our room our keys did not work. So went back down they gave us new keys and still had trouble getting the door to unlock. Finally get in and the moment we put our luggage on the bed my daughter notices something and says mommy was is that? I look closer and its bed bugs. There was 2 on the bed, bugs on the floor and dead bugs in the air-conditioner. I immediately grabbed everyrhing put it back into the truck and asked for my money back. They then gave me issues and said we cant give you a refund we can move you to another room. I told them unless you flip the matress and inspect the room head to toe before we unpack i want the room checked for bugs. They refused to do so and then said expedia would have to refund you. I called expedia to refund my money and expedia said they have to refund the money. Expedia there tried for over an hour to get them to pick up the phone and they would not. So expedia then got higher management involved. I explained to expedia that when i was in the office checking in the phone would ring and they would not pick it up. The customer service there was aweful! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! ITS FILTHY AND GROSS AND SERVICE IS TERRIBLE!!!

I would only recommend this property if you're on a budget. The office staff was very nice and helpful. I did not like the fact that they don't clean the rooms or change the beds everyday. I had to ask for clean towels and beg for my room to be cleaned and the room had roaches. Myself personally will never stay at this location again.

The toilet seat needed replacing. Small roaches in the bathroom and crawling on the headboard. Shower head connector leaked and sprayed water all over. Once you wash your hair and had soap hit the tub, the tub became extremely slippery and unsafe.

The room itself needs an entire facelift. It reeked of cigarette smoke and we were in a non smoking room. There were cockroaches in the room which indicated there was likely an infestation and was very unsettling. The bathroom was disgusting, along with the overall room itself. There was dirty throughout the room and close by the bed. As well as a lot of dust and might be cobwebs behind the bed. There was hair on the towels in the bathroom and it also looked as though the bathtub hadn’t been cleaned in some time. The kitchen area has dirt all throughout that could not be cleaned by a standard turnover service. There needs to be deep cleaning done at the very least or a complete remodel. It is not the managers or cleaning staffs fault. The owner should have the rooms deeply cleaned and require the staff to do a more thorough clean during each turnover or guest stay. Overall we were so appalled by the condition of the room we felt repulsed and did not feel safe to stay there. We stayed the one night as we had no where else to go but checked out asap and found another hotel the next day. I would like the owner to contact me at McFadden.v@live.ca for a refund.

Room was dirty and run down. Multiple spots in the floor were caving in, bathroom door didn’t close, shower didn’t run properly, freezer door didn’t close and cabinets were painted shut with things left inside.

Very clean room. Staff is pleasant and helpful. Property is very quiet. Great stay

Toilet keeps clogging, AC/Heater not working optimally, and sink pipes are assembled in reverse meaning if you turn the faucet to the right the hot water comes on, and the bed is uncomfortable. But worth the stay if you just need a roof over your head it's a good safe place

Close room was pleasantly big easy parking more than I expected

The room was spotless and completely modern and new looking (and very large). I was surprised how nice it was given this would be considered a budget hotel. Very good value. This is not a crappy hotel.

Rooms are newly remodeled. Mattress is cheap (can feel springs). Nonsmoking room reeked of smoke, truly foul scent in the room. Many guests appear to live there long term or even permanently. Rough area, was definitely nervous. Has kitchenette and nice big fridges. No shampoo or conditioner in shower. Coin operated washer dryer available. Positive staff interactions. Cheapest hotel in the area by far. Will never return due to room smell, mattress, and sense of ill safety. But- they do seem to be trying. If budget is constraint, it’s an option.

Wi-fi not working

The room and linens were clean but very old. All the air conditioners leak water outside which pools and runs everywhere. There were two toothpaste caps in my sink. The light over the cooking area needed new bulbs. There should’ve been directions on how to operate the stove. I had to microwave eggs bc I couldn’t figure it out. It didn’t feel like a safe neighborhood either.

I booked a non smoking room and got a smoking room that smelled like a bowling alley. There was no internet and the tv had very very limited selection. The shower (bath tub) was very dirty.

Everything was great ... except for the noisy neighbors in front my window

The door to room nedxs a little work..needs the dhrlf wuth hanger rod leveland needed a few more places gir clothes..

Lobby is closed after 8pm for checkin. But they did call me to see if I was on the way so that was helpful.

No staff in the office from 8pm to 9am. If I had a problem no one to help during that time frame.

Sign said office was closed at 8PM and when I called the number they refused service and said to call Expedia and get refunded because it shouldn't have allowed a booking past 8

We had a great stay…until our key cards were deactivated after night 1, and we ended up having to wait all night for someone to let us in our room.

This is the 3rd year I’ve stayed here in March for vacation & will be back next year. The staff is awesome and the rooms are clean. Can’t beat the location - Walmart, Government St & beach are all close by
