We reserved a room from Friday, October 9 through Sunday, October 11. Check in is scheduled for 3 pm. As we were traveling from out of town, we arrived at 9:15 pm. When we arrived, we were informed, along with many other guests arriving, that our rooms were not ready. One staff member was cleaning rooms. Our room was not clean and not ready over 5 hours after the time we could have occupied our room. We were informed that it would be 30 minutes until our room was ready. At 9:45 pm, we were informed that the staff member was now cleaning our room. We technically paid for the room with our reservation to occupy the room by 3 pm on 10/9. We sat in the lobby of the hotel with our belongings for almost an hour. In addition, we were informed that the manager on duty was not physically present at the hotel. This was apparently horrible scheduling of staff, as we heard that only one staff member was available to clean rooms throughout the day. In addition, with a manger not present during this issue to address these concerns, it left the receptionist at the front desk to handle all the questions, concerns, and frustrations of arriving customers at 9 pm and on. We were informed by staff that workers have brought up the staffing concerns on many occasions with the manager, and he continues. If all the hotels in the area were not already sold out due to the soccer tournament, we would have gone elsewhere. With the pressure, who knows how detailed the cleaning was.

The room was very nice, but we arrived at 9:30 pm and we were told that our room would not be available for another 45 minutes due to shortage in cleaning staff. Our check in time was supposed to be any time after 3:00 pm, so it was pretty frustrating after a very long drive to be told that no one had even started cleaning our section of rooms.

System error made my check in not allowable. So ended up paying for a second room at a second hotel. Took almost a week to get my refund will not stay here or use hotel.com again.

The Days Inn was fine. The room was clean and comfortable. It was a surprise in the shower to find the body wash was out and had not been replaced by the housekeeping stagg. The breakfast included items prepared to order, such as eggs, meat and pancakes. But the oatmeal was in packets and sourced from Walmart, definitely not Quaker and not just plain oats. The yogurt was also not good quality (from Walmart).

We arrived late and were really tired. All of the staff were so nice. Gave us a cookie and brought up an extra blanket right away. The room was very clean. They were hooks in the room to use which worked much better for us than the usual hangers. The bathroom had a little bit larger counter. Perfect for 3 Travellers. The room was very well lit. The breakfast was made to order and excellent! Would highly recommend.
