Wingate by Wyndham High Point Greensboro Airport South

Rooms were very dated. Needs some work. Other areas of hotel have been updated. They may be getting to rooms next. Air condition in elevator and on 2nd floor did not exist. Had to change rooms because air didnt work in first room. Staff was very accomodating.

The hotel was decent enough and clean. The elevator was extremely warm as well as the third floor walking to the room.

Had to switch rooms on first night of 2 night stay, wardrobe was infested with roaches. Pool was a disgusting shade of green. Front desk staff was very helpful and courteous, but accommodations were awful, outdated, and dirty. My son and I had to beat all of our clothes out for an hour after room change to make sure we had no roaches in our items.

Parking area is small. The staff was very helpful and pleasant.

Outdated elevator

Positive: Warm pool, almost hot tub temperature. Hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, and pancakes on weekend. Working fireplace. Negative: Run down building with broken tiles and grout. Received only 1 towel for family of four, no bathtub plug, and no shampoo or hand soap. Front desk worker was unable to help, so we had to make do. Received rude handwritten note under the door the next morning, which was a new experience. Will stay elsewhere in the future.

The locks on the doors were poor and did not open easily, the condition and upkeep of the rooms were less than par… (moldings were missing, paint was inconsistent, lobby smelled like chlorine, just the overall appearance was not up to par compared to other….

The gym and pool were out of service. Even though my room was nonsmoking it smelled of smoke. Usually I never had a problem with this hotel but this time I was not happy.

The pool was a little bathtub // there was frogs in the little pool// Bed was broken had to be fixed and we just got there with all of this // then we find that our refrigerator not working had to keep things cold in a trash can for two days //went to front desk water pouring out of the ceiling pipe busted im not suppress bad bad not going back who every own it is giving the brand a bad name thats sad

My room was spacious with a huge king bed, tall ceilings, fireplace and sofa. The large bathtub with whirlpool jet has plenty of space for two people. The indoor pool is small but sufficient. Gym is tiny with limited options and very low ceiling. Breakfast is ok with limited options. Lobby was spacious and modern. Location is great near food, gas stations and i40 exits.

The front lobby was welcoming and the staff at first was very accommodating, however, that is where it ended. The temp in the hotel was comfortable downstairs but the elevator had heat pouring out of it and was very hot. We told the front desk and she said she had been in it and it was ok, she also said well, it's that time of year. She was not very attentive to customer needs at all. We were there for 6 nights for a family funeral and had it not been for that stress, we would've looked for a different place to stay. There was no "hot" breakfast as advertised, not once was there actual bacon - it had boiled eggs in the dish instead and the staff said they ran out. We would have understood if they didn't use that excuse for all 6 days! Our room was NOT cleaned for 2 days of our stay with the garbage left, we actually had to use our own plastic bags in the cans. The in-room coffee area was NEVER restocked - even a plastic cup would've been great. Instead of leaving clean towels in the room, the maid came in the late morning and asked if we needed towels. We also noticed that the shampoo/ soap, bottles that were left were nearly empty, so obviously had been used before our stay. DISGUSTING! I would NOT EVER stay here again! This used to be a nice place to stay but I am fearful that it has been run down and will never make a comeback.

Wyndham Should Do BETTER! While I'm sure the cleaning staff do the best they can, the room I stayed in was stinky (so much I had to Lysol spray everything) and musty, like the carpet needed a deep clean. I felt very uncomfortable in the bedding, I could not walk around barefoot and I was sneezing a lot from all the dustiness of the upholstery. The tub floor creaked a lot when standing under the shower. The hotel just needs a Super Deep, deep clean. And sadly, based on how uncomfortable I felt with the cleanliness of the room, I didn't trust that the breakfast was going to be any good, so I can't comment on it. Also, for $262/night, it was a terrible value for the price. Sadly, all the comments I've heard from my fellow High Point Market attendees have been to advise not staying in a hotel in High Point because they are so run down. I'm very sorry I didn't listen to their advice and book in another town or do a vrbo... Lesson learned. Hopefully the hotels in the area will make investments to improve, at the very least, which is to simply deep clean or change the carpets and freshen up all the dingy furnishings & decor.

We got there about 430-5pm. They did say they had, had a problem with stink bugs but pest control had been to the property to take care of the problem. I know what stink bugs are. I figured if they had sprayed it would be fine & there would not be any. However, by 7pm they started coming in from the windows. Crawling on the walls. Crawling on the ceilings. Then to the bed and down the wall. There was no way we were going to sleep there. We checked out immediately & went to Fairfield Inn in Greensboro NC. I will NEVER go back to that Wingate.

The hotel was nice and clean.

It has ants in the room. Everything looks old.

Over all the stay was fine for a quick one night stay, the staff were kind and helpful. I did not like that there were people drinking and smoking so close to the entrance. For the room their was a roach in the refrigerator, hair on the bed sheets and towels, and I found brown/redish stains on the comforter so I used the top sheet for a blanket. Other then that no loud noise or issues with safety of that nature and check-in/check-out went smoothly.

Our room smelled musty as if there had been a flood. Also there were cobwebs thick between the windows and the curtains. Shower felt like it was going to cave in. Divider between bathroom jacuzzi and room is old and broken. Staff was pleasant and friendly

The staff is always so helpful in getting you checked in quickly. The rooms are spacious and clean. It's close to a main thoroughfare so it's quick to get to and from wherever you need to be but not so close that it's loud. Having stayed here several times now, I always keep coming back to this location.

Leaky toilet, hard bed. Old hotel that needs some renovations.

Bedroom had a shower door beside the bed. And matress was hard. Closet door literally opens into the shower.

This place was amazing rooms had jacuzzi tubs and an electric fireplace it was more than we expected we will definitely stay there more

Everything was nice and clean. However the bed is worn out and the pillows are mini pillows barely big enough to lay down on. The jetted tub and TV didn't work either. Quite disappointing for a couples night out especially when we don't get the opportunity much.

While I have been generally satisfied by my multiple stays at the Wingate by Wyndham, the complete lack of USB ports in a hotel room in 2025 is aggravating, to say the least.

Nice, inexpensive place to say. Rooms are definitely dated, but clean and comfortable. Fireplace in the room is a nice touch!

The stay was very nice. My only issue was we could not get hot water in the bathroom sink and the shower handle to turn the water on was broken. Other than that we had a nice stay.

My husband was recovering from nosesurgery when we were there. The woman at the front desk (Swan Chu on her name tag) told us we could check in early but when we arrived and it became apparent that I forgot to include my child when I made the reservation (because originally we were not planning to take her but childcare fell through), the woman accused me of being intentionally lying even though I was standing there WITH her and she actually called me a liar. When I told her she was being rude, she said she would not allow us to stay there and would not refund our money or allow us to speak to any manager but her. Because my husband was literally bleeding out of his nose and other hotels were full, I swallowed my pride and begged her forgiveness for calling her rude (even though she was in fact the rudest hotel employee I have EVER come across). After begging her to let us into our room for 10 minutes, she deigned to allow us in (but only after many apologies from me). I have never left anything but good reviews on this or any site. I stay at hotels a lot and you may notice have never written a bad review but this was hands down the WORST service I have ever had. It did not end there: The TV in our room didn't work, the carpet was soaked with water that leaked from the AC, there was only a single outlet between the two beds. I was too afraid to complain to the desk about flooding for fear of being thrown out by this horrible woman.

Staff was friendly and great at their job. Room cleaned each morning and always polite. Toilet had issue but staff fixed and shower took some energy to get going. Food was good

It was an adequate stay. Nothing fancy but it was clean and the staff were friendly - especially in the breakfast room. Front desk was a little hit or miss in terms of knowledge but welcoming.

The person on duty when I checked in was less than welcoming and not very helpful- more annoyed to be honest. The man, Terry, Tony,... that ran the breakfast in the morning was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL and incredibly accommodating!!

I was told i could check in early. When I got yo the hotel I was given a key to a room. when i opened the door the room was dirty as if some one was still there. When i went back to the desk and told them what I found, i was told that i could get another room but that room was being cleaned. I asked for a discount and was told I would get it, but I was charged full price. Unfortunately I will not book this hotel again.

Had a issue at check in front desk clerk charged wrong card that was held for reservation and told us it had to be charged when in fact it didn’t I used another card and card that was originally charged was pending but she still insisted the original would be charged just bad customer service

Hotel was easy enough to get to and find. Woman at desk was very pleasant (we arrived at midnight), and had a speedy check-in. Room was larger than expected, comfortable, and clean. We had the surprise of a double shower in the bathroom which I have not seen in a hotel before. Had many amenities that I wish we had time to use. And a great value.

We found a bug in one of the beds, and the breakfast was not very good. I wanted to have oatmeal for breakfast, but there was no hot water. Otherwise, the stay was nice and the staff were friendly.

Breakfast was continental. Had to ask for syrup and more coffee as both were out. Had a jetted tub in room plus fireplace but did not use either. Did not use pool or weight room. Only to sleep for the night. Bed was comfortable. Would stay again

Room was ok, not very clean, but ok for the price and level. Biggest problem was there was no breakfast that they claimed will be . Couple bananas and hot pockets it’s not continental breakfast! So we payed for service we did not received.
