Four days before my stay at this hotel, received an email from the "front desk" stating that they are having renovation at the hotel and asking if I like to cancel my reservation. So I replied back asking them couple questions since the original email did not go much in detail about what's happening. Couple days went by and silence. Decided to call the number mentioned in the signature of the email, no answer. Tried couple times later, again no answer. They never responded to my email. On the day of reservation, showed up at the hotel and it looked deserted. Parked and went to the front door and there was a sign posted on the door saying hotel is closed due to renovation. I was somewhat shocked and disappointed with them for they failed to respond to my email and no one answered my calls. I contacted hotels.com later that day and fortunately got my refund. Hotel staff, next time you guys need to do better job answering customer inquiries before you lose another customer!

The location of Huntersville is superb! Lots of dining options, gas station, lovely area! They do have fresh Starbucks coffee in the lobby every day! The lobby is quaint and great for a social drink and appetizers, but its not a full service restaurant. Had the king room with loveseat. It was just perfect for a weeks stay. Bed was sooo soft and comfortable. Very clean, and the house cleaners did a nice job every day. Ice machine on the 3rd floor, fridge worked, and the AC worked fine with no rattling or excessive noise. Was 25 minutes to Charlotte Speedway. Was about 40 minutes to downtown "Uptown" Charlotte - IYKYK LOL The hotel is currently under renovations so there was some noise on the 3rd floor, but the first floor was all torn up. The laundry facility was not available and more than half the days of 7, the snack purchase area was closed. There is not hot tub, but the pool area was open and appeared clean although did not use this amenity. Will definitely stay here again!

I understand the property is under some improvements at the moment. The room they gave us for three nights was about halfway remodeled. It was also very dirty for Marriot standards. I did inquire about a different room and they stated there were none available. They also told me the room I was in was already remodeled. Beware of the photos, the outside is not the same building and the rooms will look similar, but may not have all amenities listed.
