It’s convenient being in Knightdale. Not in the best of maintenance. The side door was not locked and so was not secure. The sliding door to the lobby did not work and was half open. The breakfast was all vending machine stuff. Not up to par with the Super 8 and Quality Inn we also stayed at on our NC trip.

We only stayed one night so we didn't have to take a long drive at 2am. Worked perfect for us. Hotel and room were clean. Plenty of restaurants on the main road. The only thing some may not like is that there is no elevator. There is only two floors so it was no problem for us but if you have a lot of luggage to carry it would be a problem. Overall I would definitely stay here again. If you're looking for a simple hotel, this is the one.

Room was clean however second floor smelled like someone had been smoking marijuana and it’s supposed to be a no smoking hotel. There wasn’t an elevator or vending machine that had cold drinks. The breakfast was very lame - hot pockets, jimmy Dean processed sandwiches, sugar cereal, oatmeal packets, waffles and bananas/apples. No real healthy choices for breakfast.

We needed a place to stay while visiting family. The hotel served this purpose. We chose it primarily because it didn't allow pets. We have had our own pets through the years, love them, but don't like to cohabit in the same bedroom. The room was ok, but it is an older hotel. No elevator to the 2nd floor. You have to go to either end of the hotel to go upstairs. The bed was alright, but the carpet was older and needed to be stretched. The room was clean, but the cosmetics of the room certainly needed to be addressed, outdated and some repairs to walls would have been nice. The breakfast area and variety was limited. It was a little pricey for the quality of the hotel, but it was the only hotel available, again that didn't allow pets, in the area we needed stay. Honestly, with any hotel, don't why there aren't rooms set aside for that need, as you would do for smoking. All and all, if we had the same needs in the future, we would stay at this hotel again. The ones at the front desk were nice both with check in as well as check out.

From the outside, it looked inviting. The tile lobby floor was dingy & obviously hadn't had a good scrubbing in a long while. Upon entering the room, I noticed a strong musty/sour smell. [I bought a candle to mask the odor a bit]. There was a hole in the bathroom made by the doorknob. The bedskirt was stained & wrinkled. The noise from the laundry room & vending area were constant while I was in the room. The AC unit sort if rattled when it was on. When I got into bed after midnight, it was rock hard and very uncomfortable. My shoulders, back and hips couldn't tolerate it. I attempted to sleep in the chair, but it was hard as well. I checked out at 3:30am. The desk clerks were very kind and apologetic. The shower & vanity were clean. There was hair on the bathroom floor as well as under/ around the vanity. It was truly the worst experience I've had in a long time.

The pictures online are very deceiving. When we got there, the first room they gave us had such a strong musty smell that we didn’t even make it all the way inside and had to ask for a new room. The second room didn’t smell as bad, but there were several other problems with this room. For starters, the bathroom was absolutely disgusting. When we went into the bathroom, we noticed little tiny hairs, what looked like could be pubic hairs, all over the toilet paper and the toilet seat. The front desk attendant came in to replace all of the toilet paper. Naturally we wanted to change rooms again but clearly the hotel itself wasn’t well taken care of and we had just taken a 9 hour drive from Jersey so we were exhausted and didn’t want to keep having to switch rooms so we just stayed and made it work. The shower was dirty and also had a visible hole in the wall behind the showerhead which they failed to cover up or even take care of at all. The couch and the desk chair were just very worn and old and didn’t look desirable to sit in but again, we did because it was the only place to sit and eat. The fridge was dirty. The bathroom sink had no stopper and was visibly dirty and old. The towel racks had rust all over them. At a point we needed ice but the machine in the hall was very old and dirty so we went to a gas station to get a bag of ice instead. Overall, the hotel was in very poor condition, dirty, & not well taken care of or having any upkeep. I would not recommend at all.

We have had a few stays at this hotel and while older and less fancy than others, it was cleaner and quieter than we feared usually. This trip, however, the smell of smoke in the halls and room were enough to make us consider leaving and paying for a second hotel. While they insist no smoking is allowed, the odor in the hall is very high and the smell in the room is still too much to stand. Time to re-carpet and re-paint and defumigate if you want our business.

I checked in at 244pm. Went upstairs the smoke smell from cigarettes was horrible. Unpacked put things away. Threw up. Room door to bathroom was disgustingly dirty. We left went to explore the town. Came back at 10. We took showers. I laid down to sleep and a roach crawled across my face. Went downstairs reported. She said well we are by the woods and I can’t move your room. Upon returning to the room found three more roaches and couldn’t sleep. So we checked out at 1140pm. They said I would be refunded today. Upon checking there was a 20 credit returned and when calling she made it clear that’s all I would be getting. I’m pretty traumatized when I close my eyes to sleep now.

The carpet was dirty! We walked on the floor with socks so we didn’t have to feel the carpet and you should have seen the bottom of our socks! Then the bathroom has paint falling off the walls. Also, the toilet paper holder was so old it had a hard time holding onto the paper! You could see rust all over the bathroom. Then our neighbors next to us had kids that were screaming! So I would not recommend this place at all and next time I would rather stay farther away so you get what you pay for!! Not to mention we put do not disturb on the door when we left and they came into our room anyway to clean!!

The room had an cigarette odor, the bathroom needs upgrading, the mattress needs to be changed it sunk in the middle. The faucet on hand basin needs repairs, water surts out when opening, curtains need changing they had holes in the inner curtain. The best thing was the maids who were very helpful and cleaned.

The wife and I stayed for 1 night. It's definitely old and outdated but no major issues with the stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and it was quiet. They had a decent breakfast. The wife thought the bed was uncomfortable.

The front desk receptionist was very sweet and the room was nice and clean, but everything was in such poor condition. Shower was broken (handheld nozzle had a broken clamp), sink had no plug, carpet was very stained and felt gummy, mattress was very worn with a big dip in the middle, pillows were unbelievably thin and flat. We appreciated that we were allowed an early check-in, but for the price we were surprised at the overall condition of the room.

Love The area. However, the hotel is dated and needs improvements. Carpet was dingy and room needed painting. We stayed on the bottom floor and had loud children running until late in the evening as well as people arguing outside their rooms into the night.

It was a Very Convenient Location visiting Family. I wanted to Thank Julie & Ashley for returning My Gold Ring that I left on the Night Table next to the Bed. I Was Grateful that My Godson Victor was able to Retrieve the Ring after I Check Out of Inn & had already flown back to New York. I Am Forever Thankful for the Courtesy.

It was a Very Convenient Location visiting Family. I wanted to Thank Julie & Ashley for returning My Gold Ring that I left on the Night Table next to the Bed. This hotel is tucked away back off the road making it fairly quiet. The rooms could use updated, especially the bathrooms. The best thing about this hotel is that they refunded us money for the 1st night because our flight was delayed a day. This shoes me they care about their customers and that alone will bring me back to them in the future. Thanks for showing me what good business is!

Hard to locate - GPS gave us the run around. Beds were very comfortable, breakfast was frozen baked goods, not worth eating. Overall the stay was fine and the price more affordable than most places. Nice location.

Dated furnishings, fair for the money! Good coffee! Beside ABC STORE, Mexican restaurant in the front, Bar-B-Que restaurant in the back, and a block from a beautiful walking park with plenty of paved trails. Plenty of restaurants within a ten minute drive!

Its a little hard to find and either the walls are thin or my neighbors were very loud. Overall it was a very nice place with a great breakfast.

Property needs updating…new carpet and paint. The bed is comfortable although pillows are flat. Towels are nice and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet consists of sugar cereals and instant oatmeal so I will have to get breakfast elsewhere.

Room was clean however second floor smelled like someone had been smoking marijuana and it’s supposed to be a no smoking hotel. There wasn’t an elevator or vending machine that had cold drinks. The breakfast was very lame - hot pockets, jimmy Dean processed sandwiches, sugar cereal, oatmeal packets, waffles and bananas/apples. No real healthy choices for breakfast.

The landscaping is beautiful, but inside the property wasn't. It was average at best. The room smelled funny -old and like it was cleaned - I ended up opening the window and door to air it out. The carpet smelled moldy and was ripped in one place and the walls need painted. And, of course, I could easily hear people stomping in their bare feet above me. I didn't partake in the breakfast, but it looked like it was pastries and cold cereal. Overall, the place is not worth the almost $100 per night charged.

The wife and I stayed for 1 night. It's definitely old and outdated but no major issues with the stay. Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and it was quiet. They had a decent breakfast. The wife thought the bed was uncomfortable.

I hoped their breakfast would have offered more. No options for toast as far as butter or jelly, etc. Coffee and some fresh fruit though. It was better than nothing.

Room was straight out of the 1960s. Bed but no sofa to sit on. Only one (desk) chair to sit on. So either you sit on the bed (with your back on the wall) or one sits on the office chair and one sits on the bed). Now that is pure romance! Room needed painting - there were patches on the wall that needed painting; scoff marks on the wall. Everything was cheap - for example, the clothes rack (there is no closet) almost tipped over as it was cheap Chinese plastic. Sink in bathroom was missing the stopper. No vanity underneath so the hand towel was on a cheap Chinese plastic rack behind the door. The screen was bent and there was a two inch gap at the top. I wanted to open the window to get some fresh air as there was no fan. TV was smallish. Lights were great for mood lighting, but not to see. Difficult to read. Thus, I took my headlamp to use it. Breakfast - waffle maker was not working - desk clerk said that someone had spilled something and could not work. But she was making no effort to clean it. It was still plugged in. I wanted to support the local hotel and not go to the big hotel chains. But the big hotel chains have standards. These local fly-by-the night place are just that - a fly that should be squished. Good: because the hotel was not crowded, parking was plentiful. (The reason the parking was so plentiful was because there were so few people on a Labor Day weekend. Perhaps the reason the hotel was so empty was because of the condition of the hotel.)
