I’ve stayed at that particular Days Inn several times when visiting the Research Triangle. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it offers good value for the price. Parking is free and plentiful, which is becoming less common, and the internet is fine. The breakfast is basic but perfectly adequate for a quick coffee, toast and juice. I happened to return to my room while it was being cleaned and was impressed by how thoroughly the two friendly housekeepers were doing their job. There’s also a gym, although I haven’t tried it. The hotel is less than two miles from the airport, and arriving planes fly directly overhead. This may bother very noise-sensitive guests, but it didn’t bother me. Several restaurants, including Cracker Barrel, Texas Steakhouse and Hooters, are within comfortable walking distance, and there’s a Mobil station next door where you can pick up a few essentials late at night. The hotel is also close to I-40, making it easy to reach Raleigh, Durham and Chapel Hill by car.

My Experience at Days Inn – Morrisville, NC For $93 for a one-night stay, I honestly expected a much better experience. Unfortunately, this hotel did not meet my expectations, and I can confidently say I will not be returning. When I first walked into the hotel, there was no one at the front desk. A few moments later, the front desk representative came rushing inside from being outside smoking. At that moment, I started questioning what kind of stay I was about to have. I asked about the fitness center, and the representative jokingly told me he wouldn’t call it a gym. Out of curiosity, I went to see it for myself and had to agree that it was not much of a fitness center. The elevator reminded me of an old elevator you might encounter in Brooklyn, and once I reached the second floor, the hallway carpet was less than appealing. When I entered my room, there was an unpleasant odor. My immediate thought was that I did not want to stay there and that I probably wasn’t going to be comfortable. I ended up leaving to run errands before returning later that evening. The following morning, I decided to give the continental breakfast a try. To my surprise, the selection was very limited: dry cereal, yogurt, coffee, juice, and a waffle maker. I would describe the breakfast as mediocre at best. This is a hotel thats not kept very well. The towels had hair on them, a hole in the pictures on the wall, tub need to be cleaned and caulked. When I walked in another customer was talking about he needed to switch rooms because of the noise from the prostitutes in the next room. People constantly standing around outside smoking didn't feel safe.

It was for only a couple of hours as I had a game to go to about 3 hours away. It served its purpose. They were extremely helpful and got me out of a tough spot. Not the best but the staff was amazing.
