Found toenail clippings on bathroom floor. GROSS!!! I would venture to say the room was not cleaned at all.. no one at the bar lounge to take our order. Had to ssk the front desk for help.

Disappointed the pool didnt have lounge chairs. Elevator was far from the room.. restaurant wasnt a real restaurant or bar more less a convenient stop and wasnt open all day.. ac in our room was not real cool. Had a balcony but no chairs to sit on ..

The pool was closed, we were given no indication that this was the case before booking. Place seemed dark and run down. There were scammers in the parking lot trying to solicit money Saturday night. We notified the front desk after seeing the woman leaning against our car after we went in the building. We don't think anything was done about it. We felt very unsafe

It was a spider in my bed. And the room and hall way was hot and the refrigerator didnt work properly. But the only thing it was good was quiet and kids enjoyed the pool without a crowd.

Very nice stay. Quiet and clean. Close to food and stores. Good location. The bar tends to be closed til 5:00 PM. Not convenient if you're not living on EST but Trader Joe across the street.

Room was nice. Only negative comment was that there’s no parking spots at main entrance, only a round about. It was a challenge to access round about to get to main lobby because some cars were blocking driveway (didn’t parking on right side).

Very convenient to Duke Health, easy checkin. Quiet. The carpet needs updating and the configuration of the hotel is very odd…we had to walk a great distance to get from the entrance to our room.

well, when we arrived everything seemed fine. the layout of this hotel is very strange and the elevator is located about as far away from the lobby as possible, making it an extended process to get to your room unless you're on the 1st floor. if you're on the ground floor, there is literally a door in your room that exits directly into the parking lot and when I checked in, that door was not locked and the extra security bar to prevent someone from forcing it open was not in place. sketch. The worst part of our stay occurred very early in the AM. One of our 3 rooms was completely infested with ants. Called the front desk and they sent someone to come start spraying/fumigating. ants everywhere, including in our personal belongings and now chemicals being sprayed while we're in the room. best part, hotel does not GAF about this disgusting development and offered nothing. no refund, no free drink at the bar, no discount on parking, nothing. just spraying chemicals and infesting us with ants. the maintanence person they sent to our room said that that entire side of the hotel was complaining all morning about the ants... but still, they offered no compensation, no recourse. I would never stay at this hotel ever again.

Our stay was overall decent only thing that ruined it was there being a bug in our bed on the first day. Could’ve easily been bit why whatever it was. Had us paranoid that we would see another bug. This wasn’t the only complaint about bugs either. In the lobby a guy was complaining about a roach in his room. We were both placed on the first floor, so avoid that if you can. Never have dealt with bugs in the bed, it was definitely a first with my experience with the Marriott brand.

I give it an average because it lacked the usual thrill/upvibe I get when I stay at a Marriott. There was not enough information about breakfast availability. It did not appear that they offered continental breakfast. They did not have a microwave in the room either so I was not able to heat up my left over meal. When I asked about it the receptionist said that there was a microwave in the lobby area. Who wants to bring their meal downstairs to heat it up... especially in the middle of the night, which is when I had a need to heat my left over meal. I get that many people may not use the microwave and that Marriott wants to be cost effective but a better solution would have been to place a microwave on each floor, perhaps in the area where they have the ice machine. I have never used the ice machine by the way. I also do use the safe when I travel, there was not one. The room seemed clean although the hallways needed more diligence re vacuuming and there was trash from a room across from my room - it was the first thing I saw when I came around the corner to my room. The bed was comfortable, I liked the furniture - chair and desk, and sofa very comfortable. I liked the location, both in terms of access to local amenities and closeness to where I needed to go.

The noise at night was extremely loud and woke me up several times each night I was there. The noise didn’t seem to slow down at any point throughout the night. There were also a couple random instances where we would come back and someone would just be sitting in their car parked very randomly which gave us the sense of it being unsafe. Okay for the money but probably wouldn’t stay again because of the noise.

This looks like an older style hotel they converted over. The outside is older paint and outdated, but when you walk in it’s what you would expect. The check in and out were as easy as could be with friendly staff. The beds were extremely comfortable. The room itself, smaller, and again they tried to update it to something new, and did an “ok” job. Small bathroom, but the water pressure and heat in there was awesome. You definitely pay for location over value in my eyes, nothing terrible, but for the price it is what it is for a Raleigh downtown location.

The room was nice and clean. If it wasn't for the loud and mostly ineffective air conditioning it would have been great. The AC ran all night but it barely cooled the room. It might not have been so warm had we not been on the third floor. I would still stay again though.

The noise level was ridiculous. Drag racing cars both nights for hours in the early morning Saturday. We got up Sunday morning to take a shower & there was no hot water for a while. We will not be staying there again.

It's not that it wasn't clean, it was fine. I just expected a more modern hotel that I typically associate with Courtyard Marriott's. It's very old and while the lobby was updated the rest of the hotel is not. The beds were comfortable and the service was good. All of the employees were very nice and helpful. well, when we arrived everything seemed fine. the layout of this hotel is very strange and the elevator is located about as far away from the lobby as possible, making it an extended process to get to your room unless you're on the 1st floor. if you're on the ground floor, there is literally a door in your room that exits directly into the parking lot and when I checked in, that door was not locked and the extra security bar to prevent someone from forcing it open was not in place. sketch. The worst part of our stay occurred very early in the AM. One of our 3 rooms was completely infested with ants. Called the front desk and they sent someone to come start spraying/fumigating. ants everywhere, including in our personal belongings and now chemicals being sprayed while we're in the room. best part, hotel does not GAF about this disgusting development and offered nothing. no refund, no free drink at the bar, no discount on parking, nothing. just spraying chemicals and infesting us with ants. the maintanence person they sent to our room said that that entire side of the hotel was complaining all morning about the ants... but still, they offered no compensation, no recourse. I would never stay at this hotel ever again.

When we arrived a half hour early the staff apologized that the room wasn't ready, offered water, and kept us up to date on the progress of the room. Best service in a long while.

Woman at reception was wonderful. She was able to accommodate my request of adjoining rooms and on a ground floor close to exit door to accommodate my elderly mother who has trouble walking. The rooms were great, beds were super comfortable and the staff was excellent! I would definitely return!

The staff was nice, but did not inform me when I checked in that they only provide maid service every other day. The bed in the room was old and terrible. The screen on the sliding door was ripped. The security lock on the sliding door outside was broken. While the hotel was relatively empty when I checked in, the nonetheless assigned a room on the street and noisy side of the hotel. Honestly, I think that Marriott Hotels have declined since the purchase of Sheraton

Excellent stay. Hotels.com actually over booked the hotel, but the night attendant shifted some people to upgraded rooms and made a very accommodating room available to us.

The Courtyard by Marriott Raleigh Midtown is an excellent place to stay while visiting Raleigh. It's located in a nice area very close to lots of shopping and restaurants. The hotel property is clean and the the Front Desk Staff was friendly, polite and accommodating.

The pool was closed, we were given no indication that this was the case before booking. Place seemed dark and run down. There were scammers in the parking lot trying to solicit money Saturday night. We notified the front desk after seeing the woman leaning against our car after we went in the building. We don't think anything was done about it. We felt very unsafe

Overall the property was good. Friendly staff. Rooms were clean and spacious. However, rooms 130ish-150ish back right up to woods and a super busy road. The noise at night was extremely loud and woke me up several times each night I was there. The noise didn’t seem to slow down at any point throughout the night. There were also a couple random instances where we would come back and someone would just be sitting in their car parked very randomly which gave us the sense of it being unsafe. Okay for the money but probably wouldn’t stay again because of the noise.

Very nice stay. Quiet and clean. Close to food and stores. Good location. The bar tends to be closed til 5:00 PM. Not convenient if you're not living on EST but Trader Joe across the street.

Wasn’t aware that maid service took place every other day. Breakfast was not included with our stay. Items for purchase were extremely expensive!! Yikes!! Staff was friendly. Rooms could use some freshening up, however, the bathroom shower was pretty nice.

Property was well kept and the amenities were excellent. Although it appeared that the Bistro was priced to discourage use the breakfast option was adequate and the people were nice. Not having a breakfast included meant no feeding frenzy that some hotels experience each morning.

I check in on Friday and had AC and roach problems in the bathroom my friend took pic of them. them AC was set on 72 but the room was reading 80 someone came and took care of it but on Saturday the room was reading 80 again. I was out the mdesk ost of the day so really didn't have to deal with it but when returning back to the room at 4:00am I have other pic of another roach on the wall in the bedroom, on the was day of checking out I was washing my face and had to kill other roach. this bug use was told to the front and as i check out the front desk lady wanted fuss if its a water bug or a roach and stated she been their 5years and courtyard don't have bugs. I this was my 1st time in the state and the hotel. I will never stay here again.

We had no problem with check-in other than a parking charge that had not been disclosed prior to booking. Our room entry was attention getting because it smelled of mold/mildew. Upon checking the bathroom the mold/mildew smell intensified. We immediately notified the front desk and an employee was sent and arrived with disinfectant to clean. The air handling unit needed a new filter which the employee said would take the maintenance employee as he knew nothing about the unit. This has happened in other properties and a new filter fixed the smell. No maintenance ever arrived. The employee with the disinfectant was asked to spray down the bathroom. He said he too could smell the mold/mildew in the bathroom. He wanted us to change rooms but we needed an accessible shower and there were no other rooms as such available. We were offered a compensation of free breakfast instead but were unable to collect that. The bed was comfortable and that is all.

Our overall experience was great! The rooms were clean, staff was friendly and helpful, the pool and outdoor amenities were amazing, and the location and close proximity of stores and restaurants and such was perfect. We had a wonderful time and would definitely book another stay at this location and recommend it to others as well.
