Elevator out of order, it wad hard getting to the 3rd floor.

Elevator was out and im handicap with 2 knee replacement and had to walk the stairs & still pay full price with a 40 cash deposit.

No continental breakfast, stale old muffins, the hallway smells like urine. Old carpet. The ac doesn't work even when it's on in the 50s it blow hot air. One of the office staff personnel is nosy, broken elevator, police always at the hotel. Do not recommend. Do not stay there, rooms extra on the small side.

Elevator wasn’t working, so I have to use the stairs and it is at the side of the building. It is not safe, not clean.

No elevator. Was on the 4th floor. Shhould of been told before booking the reservation

I waited 10 minutes for someone to come to the desk to check in and I called the number 3 times and the call was never answered. The elevator was out of service The stairwell and hallway were dirty but my room was clean. The area had individuals loitering and at night a private security officer patrolled. The breakfast consisted of mini muffins and coffee. I will not stay here again

The problem here was that the elevator was broken along with every ice machine in the whole building. I had to walk up 3 flights of stairs with a heavy bag and other belongings. The room was fine though and spacious clean etc. The building overall was a bit rundown but my main complaint was about the elevator and ice machine. Thanks

Roaches everywhere would never stay here again

OMG this is the worse place I ever have stayed the floor dirty plenty of cockroaches and bed bugs and l pay for a room in a non smoker zone and The smell of cigarette didn't even let me breathe, I couldn't even sleep in that place. I Did an early check out and found other place to stay.

Our room had bed bugs still waiting on a refund.

The first room she put us in smelled like someone had a urinating contest on who could urinate the most on the floor. We asked for a different room hoping it would be much better than the last. Thankfully it was another room available and they switched our room to the smokers room. The cigarette smell was in the sheets, the walls, and the air. There was no shower curtain and I’m sure they didn’t do much cleaning. Don’t book unless it’s your last choice.

Roaches galore in room and facility clean but needs mad pest control. The hotel attendant tried to accommodate and change to different room but still had roaches. Smoking smell in non smoking rooms, stragglers, say maxi pad in hallway, and facility needs cleaning 24hrs. Came previously in 2019 was more decent than current conditions. Bed was comfortable and only highlight of stay. Went out for State Fair came back roach in bed

Terrible! Hallways were filthy, elevator was broke. I walked in my bathroom and there were roaches running across the floor. I didn’t even stay ten minutes, I left immediately after i saw the bugs. I’m still waiting on my refund.

Probably one of the worst places we have ever stayed. Trash everywhere around outside and in the halls.

Room was clean and bed comfortable. However, the work station chair, I felt like I couldn't sit back in it....fear of falling backwards. No ice bucket, probably because no ice machine on my floor. No freezer, fridge didn't seem to cool properly.

Price not that bad but TV was not smart.

It was very noisy in the hallway thru out the night making it very difficult to get a good nights sleep. There was no clock, TV guide, hair dryer or extra blanket in the room. We notice police present when we first got to the hotel.

The room was so hot it took like 2 hours to cool down we decided to leave.

Room needs to be refreshed. Very noisy. Bed is confortable however.

Toilet broke down and heater unit is very old.

I have stayed at many Super 8 hotels over the years. I chose it because of the price as I was going to be there for 4 days and was planning to only be there for sleeping. Here are the good things: it was close to where my family lived and the cleaning staff were friendly. Now comes the list of bad things: there were no iron or ironing boards available. Desk staff informed me that they were getting stolen. Complimentary breakfast was basically non-filling. They did have coffee, tea, juice & an assortment of individually wrapped, bite-sized muffins that you could finish off in two bites. Definitely not something that you would take family too. It wasn't exactly pet friendly unless you count the occasional roach that wasn't paying anything towards my rental. There was a desk in all of the rooms but mine didn't have a chair to sit at so I couldn't do some of the work that I needed to do. Oh, let me not forget to mention that it was a room with double beds. Great for me and my kids except for the fact that most double beds that I have used are queen size. These were full-sized so sharing a bed unless you were spooning was not comfortable as you fought for space. Super 8, you really disappointed me this time & I don't think that I will be returning. It was a good run while it lasted but it's time to say goodbye. It wasn't you, it was me & my expectations of how it used to be. Maybe it's because I was in Raleigh, North Carolina and that's normal for there but I doubt it.

Super 8 is Super 8. But this location does everything they can to make your stay as accommodating as possible. The maids are here and attentive during the day and management is actively changing, cleaning, painting, etc. The bathrooms are clean. Room itself is just older. Decent lighting. Beds are okay. Vending Ice Microwave available. Located at a decent section of Capital.

Room was spacious and well-acoutered. Staff was helpful and courteous. Location was good, though (as with much of the city) access and egress on the major road was occasionally problematic. Gas stations in the area had the best prices around. Elevator was decent, rooms quiet. Good value.

They gave my room away in had to pay more when I got here not happy at all with the service

I booked this pile of crap thru Hotel.com and although renovations are evident, this equates to new rims and tires being installed on a junked car. I prepaid a non-refundable $71 plus after taxes and put the name of the person who would be staying in the room. Only to arrive at this dump to be told, Oh they didnt charge you for the $40 deposit🤔 When I asked for what? It was explained well its for when people book non smoking rooms and then smoke etc. I'd left my card in the car but the desk clek said that cash could be paid and refunded upon checkout. OK, at this point it was then discovered the Elevator was out of order and had been for over a year. The room was sweltering Hott, the HVAC was stuck on heat and the temp was not able to be lowered. Also the phone had no dial tone. We switched to a different room and the only real issue with this room was the TV remote did not work because it was broken and taped up. We tried Checking out at 5:50 am to catch Amtrak and then it was explained that cash refunds could only be made between 8am and 3pm and she was sorry she forgot to explaine. I then verified with the desk clerk repeatedly, that my name was also on the reservation, then I said ok, i wouuld be back to work something out because 8am-3pm was not convenient to most people because people have jobs. The desk clerk agreed and said she would do all she could to leave messages etc but When I called back around noon, I recieved more uncooperativeness and unprofessionalism.

Clean rooms, good staff

The breakfast was crappy. Walmart mini muffins next to pictures of fine pastries. Coffee was good though. Staff was wonderful. All needs and requests for change of room and broken chair were addressed by wonderful staff folk. Clean room and soft bed. I will stay there again.

The staff is great, very caring and respectful. They really try to accommodate what you ask for. Tge rooms are very clean, and very quiet.

When I first arrived from a long drive I noticed the hotel took money out of my account before I arrived and then the guy at the desk was very slow

I frequently travel and have stayed here many times. The staff, namely Steven, has always provided outstanding customer service. His professional, accommodating, and kind approach is a primary reason I continue to give them my business.

There was good and bad during my stay @ Super 8 in Raleigh, NC. The staff that checked me in and out were very nice. When I came back to the hotel at night, the two people working the counter seemed to be working on an issue with a customer checking in. The doors won't open at night unless they check you in. After standing at the door for 10-minutes, a man in the lobby let them know I was there and finally let in. The hotel is in a busy neighborhood and plenty of stores, etc., are nearby. There were also a number of people around the hotel that seemed a bit sketchy. The elevator was broken, so I had to walk up the fire escape stairway to get to my room on the third floor. When I first went to my room, the whole area reeked of marijuana. Later, when I came back, there was a couple arguing loudly with obscenities. There was a mention of the man cheating on the woman. Because of having to use the stairs to get to the rooms, the door wouldn't secure, which seems unsafe as anyone could walk in from outside. The room seemed clean but last person there didn't flush the toilet. Computer table was very wobbly as was the chair. The bed was very noisy; I heard a symphony of creaking springs anytime I moved in it or sat down on the bed. The bathroom is really tight with the toilet taking up much of the floorspace. TV, A/C, fridge and microwave all worked. It was pretty quiet in the room, itself, with the A/C on. However the hallways were pretty noisy because of people speaking loudly.

It is a location that I recommend to any traveler. A clean and modern room awaits you. Staff is very engaging, and if you need anything, they can accommodate you Near most of your favorite eateries and in a great location.

I always loved this Super 8. Really convenient you are right in the middle of everything. Close enough to downtown where you not in the mix but it does not take 30 mins to get there.

Property was completely with weed smell in every floor. Even the rooms are filled up with weird smell. Not a good place for family to go and stay.

The area was decent.

The property is relatively clean. Lots of traffic late night cars and foot traffic. Rooms were clean except the floors. I i you just need a place to sleep. All in all, I would stay again at the right price.

Elevator wasn’t working since last year so everyone had to use the stairs which were inside the building but exposed to the elements but kind of covered and ppl would smoke there, drink alcohol there, pee there, if it rained you’d get wet. There were beer cans on the floor, cigarette butts everywhere. There were two prostitutes staying right next to my room bringing customers at all times of the day and night. A woman had three pitbulls and just let them walk freely with no leash in the parking lot and she never picked up their poop. There were shady ppl in the parking lot at all times, there was a homeless guy getting a room paid for by a Good Samaritan on the street. Apparently he was banned from the hotel for misconduct but they let him stay anyway. I was very scared to say the least. I checked out early, I felt extremely unsafe.

The elevator was out of order, but luckily they placed us on the first floor. The other issue is says that they provide breakfast, but it's coffee and mini muffins. That's no breakfast. Need better clarification on booking page that states grab-n-go items or continental breakfast.

Convenient place to stay. Accommodations were good. It took a while for water in the shower to warm up one morning. They ran out of breakfast by 8:00 one morning. Breakfast is Juice, Coffee and muffins. That's all you get, but that's OK if that's all you want. Good value for the money.

I don't think honey buns and juice count as breakfast and in the orange juice a bug came out so that means it hasn't been cleaned.

The food it was breakfast options and it was one option ( small muffins, coffee and juice ) About the bed ( the blankets have holes, AC wasn't works good , the box of the tissues it was have 3 only, when we gets in we find cockroach and spider dead in the middle of the room and the bathroom. But the hotel era its an amazing because it have alot of places to go around, it was little vacation with my kids so we stay out all day as much as we can so we come back to sleep only so.

The phone wasn't hooked up so no phone service, the continental breakfast food was stale and banana rotten, didn't smell well messed with my sinus allergies, noisy and overwhelming scent of marijuana.

I liked the location I didn't like that coffee and muffins was the only thing offered for breakfast
