Did not like they advertise a pool and then we were not allowed to use it because it was past Labor day,even though it was hotter than 95 degrees. Their continental breakfast was not that great. Did like they had nice washer and dryer we could use.

The stafff here are very helpful. My room was perfectly located across a big grassy area that my dog loved. The last day of my stay my a/c wasn’t working so the manager put me into another room with the same amenities & even closer to grassy area!! The breakfast is balanced choices & I loved the tea selection. Site has cameras everywhere and I felt very safe. The beds are great too!!!

Excellent staff, friendly and accommodating. We were just passing through for the night, but the room was very spacious. Downside was the bed was pretty firm. I had a hard time sleeping. Breakfast was toast, cereal, bagels, make your own waffles, and yogurt. Note: access to rooms is outside and there is no elevator for second floor. I also saw reviews about no tub for the shower, but our room had a tub.

Had a stay at this hotel last night. It was nicely renovated property and it almost passed the test. However, in the morning while getting prepared to leave, I noticed a roach crawling across the floor. That’s pretty disgusting, can’t do roaches.

The hotel outside is dated. We had to climb outside stairs with luggage to get to the second floor. We stayed two nights and heard ambulances and people arriving and talking very loudly in the night hours. Multiple Stink Bugs in the room. Dust and dirt around the edges is the room, especially the bathroom.

Booked 3 suites on same floor and they did not have 2 of the suites on the same floor roaches were in 2 of the rooms, ice was only available on the 2nd floor, there was no elevator. They got us in 2 regular rooms and 1 suite. All rooms were really small barely able to get wheel chair in suite. Roaches in two of the rooms and toilet was messed up in 3rd. We did not stay for 2nd night as planned

The complimentary breakfast was small but good. The staff was accommodating. The bathroom was not very clean. Dirty washcloth left on top of the shower curtain and blood stains on the shower curtain. My daughter found a rolled up piece of gauze and Band-Aid in the bathroom floor. A clean bathroom says alot for a place in my opinion.

The property has obviously seen some recent upgrades. The room with two double beds felt crowded, but was clean and fine for one night. Breakfast was basic, but fine. I didnt get to use the pool, but it looked very attractive. Good location for a one night stopover.

Looked like the room was recently renovated. Had quartz countertops and newer lighting fixtures. Not perfect but I was very happy with this place. Would definitely stay there again. Checked in overnight and the front desk associate was quick and funny.

Lights around the mirrors and room were so dim and the ceiling was peeling. Having a thermostat was a failure. The room stayed at temp but then the unit turned off and you could hear the vent flap slamming and people outside then it would kick back on and you could fall asleep to be awakened again by the unit turning off. The rooms looked nice but the bed was not comfortable either. The breakfast was good.

Mitch, the night manager, was very helpful and quite accommodating. He helped us get another room because the room we reserved smelled like cigarettes. He immediately got us into another room and was very friendly.

If you’re looking for a single night stay and don’t mind the door not sealing completely (daylight was visible nearly all the way around) this place is okay. It’s clearly a dated location with some upgrades to shower sink furniture and flooring but other areas need replacing like the ac unit and door. The staff treated me as if I had interrupted an important phone rather than a welcoming one.

The woman at the front desk was lovely! Very efficient and friendly. The room was fine. Nothing special, but I’ve stayed in much worse. Room was clean except we did have a few fruit flies hovering around the light on the vanity mirror. Great location, close to restaurants and just under 2 miles from cute downtown Statesville. Would absolutely stay here again.

Mitch the gentleman at check-in was exceptional. Very knowledgeable l, courteous and a pleasure to have a conversation with. Made our stay very enjoyable!! Would definitely recommend the property and the area. Great value as well.

At check in there was no employee present. Phone from lobby, no answer, just voicemail! Finally person on duty drives up and parks out front, apparently out shopping. Once past check in, motel was very economical. Morning staff, I think name was Kim; she was excellent!

Front desk gentleman was very friendly and helpful. Older facility with some upgrades. Price was accurate for location and facility. Area was a little sketchy. Could hear traffic, people talking and loud sirens all night. Not sure if there is a station near by. Beds were uncomfortable and linen stained. Tight space in rooms to move around in. I don’t think I would return as my children and I were uncomfortable which is unfortunate as the staff and service is amazing.

The hotel had a neat appearance and the front desk staff was professional. We arrived after dark after a long travel day so we promptly found our room to rest. The room was tidy but the floor needed to be mopped. The bed & bathroom were clean which satisfied me. During the night there was a some noise coming from outside the room - ladies outside enjoying the night air I assumed. In the morning there were signs that people may be living there long term (houseplants in the window & outside the door, a cat in the window peering out). There was also a homeless man in the parking lot across the street with his cart. I’m only noting these things for women that may be traveling/stopping by themselves. I never felt unsafe but was just surprised as the reviews I read on the hotel gave it very high marks. I’d say it’s more of a moderate hotel.

In the morning there were signs that people may be living there long term (houseplants in the window & outside the door, a cat in the window peering out). There was also a homeless man in the parking lot across the street with his cart. I’m only noting these things for women that may be traveling/stopping by themselves. I never felt unsafe but was just surprised as the reviews I read on the hotel gave it very high marks. I’d say it’s more of a moderate hotel.

Breakfast was very mediocre, coffee was weak, two types of cereal very few pastries or bagels, no peanut butter for the bread. Could of had done eggs and biscuits with gravy.

The hotel and staff were very nice but the breakfast food to say the very least was lacking. The food was not very satisfying but the coffee was good.

Nice over night. Staff greeted everyone as they walked by. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast consisted of dry cereal, waffles with many toppings to choose, yogurt, muffins, bread, juice and coffee. No fruit but understandable as fruit can go bad quickly and it’s a slow time for the hotel business.

Room and grounds were very clean. Pool was great. Staff answered questions when asked. Parking was nice and convenient. Ice maker was on second floor and we were on first, only drawback because there is no elevator

The property did seem very clean but more outdated than the photos. A big disappointment was not being able to use the pool. We were told it was closed bc of a storm. It barely rained and by the time wind had passed it was late and there were many creepy men hanging outside their rooms. I didn’t want to be out there with my young kids. Another disappointment was the breakfast. It may be personal choice, but there was only waffles, yogurt and carb loaded muffins and cereal, no eggs or meat. When traveling with kids, safety, breakfast and food are my top things to look at. The staff were very nice and helpful though. We didn’t have a remote, and after calling the front desk, they quickly got us one. We also left a portable charger in the room. We were passing back through the area, so they found it and we were able to retrieve it on the way home. There was an officer than had to knock on our door because there was a 6 yr old that was apparently missing. My kids and I locked our door and didn’t go back out the rest of the night. So we didn’t get to utilize the work out room, arcade or pool. Even though the price was good, I wouldn’t stay here again with my kids in tow.

Great location, friendly staff, very clean room, excellent Italian restaurant right next door. Healthy Breakfast options were limited but for the price it was fine. We will stay again next time we are travelling through the area.
