Baymont by Wyndham Mandan Bismarck Area

Terrible old hotel. We booked this place because it had two pools, one for littles and another for bigger kids. Upon walking into the hotel it was immediately clear that it was an older hotel, whatever that's fine as long as it's clean. We quickly change to go to the pool, didn't really look at the room. We get to the pool room and it's freezing, literally freezing, there's ice on the floor in the littles area. You can barely see across the pool room because of all the steam coming from the water. The water itself is also cold, too cold for toddlers to swim in it. We look around and the waterslides are covered in rust. At this point we call it and head back to the room, disappointed because this was the only reason we were here - to have a pool night. We get back to the room and start showering etc. and find mold in the bathtub and dried blood on the sheets. Enough is enough at this point, we pack up our stuff and go to the front desk and explain the situation to them. We told the front desk that this was unacceptable and that we weren't staying there. The guy at the counter was really nice and said that they understood and would provide a refund the following Monday. We have not received the refund and now they are denying it because they suddenly don't approve refunds through third party sites like Expedia. Nowhere does it state this other than whatever policy they decided to invent at the moment. I highly recommend avoiding this dingy old place!

The whole place was old and rundown. There’s piles of garbage at the entrances. We only booked the hotel because of the picture of the kids water park online but it’s far from the actual picture! There’s a lot of corrosion that the base of the stairs of the slide in the kids pool. Be careful. The adult pool looked like it wasn’t clean in a very long time. The water looked murky. Overall if We were not catfished by the water park pictures we would not have stayed there.

We specifically booked this hotel for their pool area. My daughter was having a When we arrived, we checked in and were told the pool was closed because someone broke glass in it the night prior.

The staff is amazing, breakfast is good, pool area is nice, kids area need freshening up by the pool, room shower needed work it sprayed everywhere in room 203, the Bar staff are attentive and fun

The hotel could be really nice. The lobby looks great, but the elevator is so small and was pretty dirty. Tons of dirt on the floor. The halls were clean. The entryway to our room smelled like cigarettes and the garbage was overflowing both nights we were there. In our room, the beds are hard and there was a dirty Q-tip under the sink. The room was clean other than the Q-tip. The front desk lady on Saturday and Sunday morning was more worried about her phone than looking at us when we talked to her. The breakfast ladies were so sweet and nice. The evening desk clerk on Saturday night was great. He brought us towels to our room and was super nice. The main reason we booked their was the pool. It was down so no swimming for us.

Very dirty pool, hot tub, underage teens drinking in pool area. Room wasn’t very clean at all. The only good part was the breakfast and the maid service they were friendly

The place looked like a war zone. Hallways and elevator were dirty. Couldn't use pool because thetrs no staff to keep order. Staff was good. Had to move rooms toilet flooded around midnite. Next room had water in light fixture.

The cons: The King bed was hard, the pillows weren’t much better, the tub/shower didn’t drain, and when there was a party breaking loose from 2:30-4am in the hall and in all surrounding rooms no one would answer the phone for the front desk and the front desk button on our room phone was broken!! 😡 The pro’s: nice gentleman during the day at front desk, temperature was comfortable, large hotel room fridge, fun pool and nice looking bar but didn’t have time to check out the bar.

Easy access, swimming pool, Lounge

The hotel overall was not clean; trashcans over flowing, elevator had not been cleaned in a long time, carpet dirty, all doors were beat up. In the room the tub was very old, with mat stains. The only positive was the water was hot. Not a good experience.

The room was ok nd clean. The halls and especially elevator were not so good. The walls and mirror in the elevator were dirty and even had ketchup on them. The building needs work for sure. I’m not sure we will stay there again or not.

This hotel is absolutely filthy and the staff are awful. We booked a stay here through Expedia, the photos looked nice and clean. We got there and the floors were stained ALL over and looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. The carpets were stained, the tub, the pillow, the chairs were all stained. After seeing everything we turned around and left, we wouldn't stay there. My husband asked the front desk woman for a refund telling her the place was filthy and she said she wasn't authorized to give refunds and she refused to contact the manager to come back and give us a refund. She ignored our concerns about the filth in the hotel as it just being an older hotel. We contacted Expedia and the hotel is refusing to give us a refund through Expedia for a disgusting room that we didn't even stay the night in. It is false advertising on Expedia, those photos look nice this place is gross in real life.

Room was clean. Only gave two towels for a double bed room. Asked for more and they didn’t have any extras. Staff were super friendly. Breakfast area was nice but shoes stuck to the floor. Pool was nice and clean. Hallways smelled of urine and elevator was filthy and old. Did notice that they are trying to upgrade items but it’s not done completely and leaves a rundown look.

The tv in our room didn't work and the front desk could not move us to another room. In the hallway outside our room there were buckets to catch the water dripping from the roof, because it was raining. The elevator was very dirty. Our rooms bathroom had a bad smell and the tub was not well cleaned. This was not a good experience.

The lift smells like pee, the hall carpeting is filthly and the area around the hotel makes you want to throw up. But after all is said and done, you get what you pay for. Will not stay here again

This hotel was filthy from the ceiling to the floor. There were carpet beetles in our sheets. The windows were smeared with grease and fingerprints, and the carpet smelled like pet urine throughout the entire building and elevator. I have no idea why they do not get shut down. This is a filthy establishment.

This hotel is filthy .. hallways elevator.. room had nicked and damaged light fixtures.. the place is a dump

This property was awful! The garbages were all overflowing. The doors and windows had fingerprints all over them!! Smoking within 25 feet? Not!!! Cigarette butts all over the ground!! The elevator floor was so so dirty!!

The first room we were to stay in smelled horrible of old stale smoke, even though rooms are non-smoking. We notified the front desk and were put into a much nicer newer room

Cheap and clean hotel but very old and the bathroom was very dated and not so great.

Had to switch rooms. First room - walls and headboard were filthy with actual dirty handprints, tub was dirty, TV didn't work, shower never got hot water, AC was so extremely loud you couldn't hear each other talk. Second room - bed was like a brick and creaked loudly every time we moved, couldn't get AC unit to stay on for more than 15 seconds at a time, and hallways smelled like funk. Check-in/out was easy. Parking was simple. Overall not what we've ever experienced from a Baymont and was really disappointing. Definitely would not stay here again.

Great shower. Just staying overnight for our trip to glacier. Price great very comfortable beds.

Bed and recliner were quite uncomfortable. Not much sound insulation. There was a guy outside my door at 3 am having a phone conversation and I heard the whole thing. Breakfast was decent for the level of hotel it is, so no issues there.

The first room we were given was in terrible shape. We were moved to a second room which was not as bad but only had one towel and one washcloth provided! The man at the desk tried to be helpful but this place needs some serious renovation!

The bed was terrible when we got there and I mentioned it on the check in survey and the next morning they called and asked about it and got me a new mattress.. The breakfasts were great and the staff was nice. We enjoyed the rest of the stay!

Our stay was great. The people that work there are also friendly. Very helpful. Make you feel very welcome. Definitely will be staying there again. The best part was I was able to rent a room and get into the room within 15 minutes of renting room. The process was really quick and easy. There was no roadblocks in the middle and I really like the way Baymont treats me.

Booked for a night before flying out the next day. Paid through hotels.com and then was charged for a full room price when we checked out. Front desk was no help when asked. Still waiting for a refund.

Great staff

First, DO THE PRE-CHECK IN TEXT. It will save you quite a bit of time when you check-in! The first room we had the A/C was not working. We went to the pool to give it awhile to kick on but it was blowing hot air. We were moved to a room that had one bed that had been unmade, garbage in the trash can, and the remote on the middle of the bed. We went back to the desk and he got us into another room with a working A/C not far from the other two rooms we had tried. The room was very quiet, though the carpet in the hall is NASTY. There is no carpet in the pet-friendly rooms, which honestly made the room feel a TON cleaner. The wi-fi worked well enough that my husband and I both played on our PS5s on the hotel wi-fi that night. Unless you have children, the pool leaves a LOT to be desired. It's VERY VERY VERY cold and small with a water slide that is always in use. The staff were amazing and my husband and I both slept VERY well. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is pretty centrally located as well, making it easy to go shopping. They did not have a great 'pet area' for potty breaks, but we made it work with our boy. We slept right through breakfast so cannot speak on that but it does say a lot that we both slept in that late. The staff who switched us rooms did a fantastic job of getting our bad rooms addressed, apologizing profusely. There were quite a few other people, but it was easy to stay to ourselves. Would not mind staying here again if the opportunity arose.

It’s an older hotel and the outside and reception area needs updating.. Entrance and elevator are not very clean. Lots of guests are construction workers. The rooms where fine and clean. Good mattresses. Bathroom was ok.

Easy access and location

An odd and old place, but we like it. It’s our second time staying. It’s old and dated with some odd decor, but the room was clean and its conveniently off the freeway without it being right on the freeway. Check in was a breeze and professional. Breakfast is a little above average.

Older hotel but clean comfortable rooms with good food and service from staff..close to hockey rink and a waterslide in the pool for my kids

There are two entrances to the property but neither one has any kind of sign to highlight it.

This hotel is NOT in Bismarck and should not appear on a Bismarck search.

Location is perfect. Only negative is the building needs minor repairs (little things)

It's looking a little tired, the staff address friendly and helpful but the milk at the breakfast bar was spoiled and the carpets need to be refreshed or replaced

One day they offered contental breakfast and it was good. Buf they didn't offer it the 2nd day. No clue why??? The hotel was pretty dirty. My room actually has someones dirty tumbler left in it. After that i felt like everything was dirty. I have atayed here numerous times. But this will be my last time i stay here. Will find a cleaner hotel for that price.

Place seems to be a bit past its use by date, and the common areas need a good vacuum. Staff are helpful and the restaurant has the best pizza!

Check in was easy and the guy at the desk was suoer nice. The room was clean and comfortable all but a gair in the bathtub. The garbage by door 2 was over flowing and the entry smelled of cigarettes. But the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was really good.

Spent five nights at the hotel. Room was never cleaned once. Was never told at check in that rooms were only cleaned on request. Also the menu at the Seven Seas “restaurant” is pretty limited, basically pizza and a few appetizers.

The property & staff were very nice. The breakfast & restaurant inside the property was delicious. Would definitely stay there again
