We were blown away by the "continental breakfast" offered in the morning. In most hotels, that would involve a granola bar and maybe coffee. In the Fox Ridge Resort, it was a full on buffet breakfast with numerous, delicious choices. There were eggs, hashbrowns, sausage links or patties, and many juice options. It was a very pleasant surprise. The parking left a lot to be desired; there was plenty of it, but a bit of a walk back to the resort. It's on the same property but away from the buildings. We arrived after dark and although the parking lot itself was lit up, the walk back to our room was WITHOUT LIGHT WHATSOEVER. There should be an investment in path lighting at the very least.

The room smelled musty when we walked in. The outside pool is crumbling all around it and pieces are in the pool that are sharp concrete. The hairdryer on the wall was broken and the tv remote was broken. They did have them replaced the same day. If you are looking to stay in a 70’s run down hotel, then this is the place. The breakfast did look good.

Overall I thought it was ok. The property itself seems that it hasn’t been kept up in a while. The road to drive up the property it’s filled with potholes, The outdoor pool it’s full of cracks around the pool also the inside of the pool has multiple cracks. The indoor pool smells bad like it was filled with bleach and the water did not look clean, couldn’t see the bottom of the pool the water was so cloudy/dirty. We left within a few second walking in the pool and did not go in. The staff was friendly and very informative, we have been coming here for a few years and this year by far it was not that great will be rethinking about going back. We really loved it there but the property it’s taking a toll and it seems nothing it’s been done about it.

We were supposed to have two queen beds and we had two double beds. We paid for a mountain view room but the porch was in such poor condition and the railing was loose and it was not safe so we werent able to sit out there. In addition, there are several hornet nests on tbe porches and outside of the building. The bed frames are extremely sharp and stick out and two of us cut our legs just getting into bed. The outdoor pool needs care- you cant see through to the bottom of the deep end , the paint is chipping on the floor and sides and its sharp, and theres mushrooms and moss growing on the sides of the pool.

Overall a good stay. Room was clean, but needed updating. The property itself needed a total makeover. Area lights didn't work, mini golf course in total disrepair. Breakfast got the job done -very good coffee, hot food needed a few more options. Staff were friendly, always seemed busy.

In years past we have stayed at Fox Ridge several times, back then the hotel was a Red Jacket property and was very well maintained and was always very nice. The hotel is no longer a Red Jacket property and the level of maintenance and attention to detail has dramatically decreased. The upside was: The hotel was clean and bright, the desk workers were friendly and efficient. The room was large enough for the 4 of use and had a mini fridge and a tub which came in handy with 2 small children. The breakfast was better than the average hotel breakfast but definitely not the grand buffet it used to be, but we were happy to have to take the kids out early in the morning. The downside was: The outdoor pool was closed and empty, the mini golf course was in disrepair with much of the green carpet torn. The front lawn where there were several lawn games was overgrown and I assume no longer used. The play area behind the hotel was very small and only consisted of a backyard sized swing set. Overall this is a nice place to stay of you have small kids but I fear that if they don't do some serious upgrades they will be forced under by all the new hotel construction that is taking place all along the road this hotel is on.

Beautiful grounds that sit high up and far off the street. Should do a much better with the snow plowing. Needs to be fixed up and updated. Pool and hot tub were nice but water should have been cleaner. Seemed like the hot tub just stays on and never shuts off. Parking lot very far away from room, made worse by snow plowing job.

The room was reasonably clean and beds were good. But the facilities overall are in DESPERATE need for repairs/updates. Both pools were filthy, crumbling cement with bad furniture surrounding it. The hot tub was broken. The overall smell is a sign of the rugs and furnishings needing to be replaced. It looks like it could be a great hotel if they spent the money on it. Don’t make the mistake of paying over priced amounts for crumbling buildings like us!

It was just ok. The room was fine. It was not exceptionally clean but it was ok. The included breakfast was decent and the coffee was not terrible but it wasn't refreshed either. Several times I went to get coffee in the evening and it was cold. Luckily there was a microwave to heat it up. The room was ok. The bed was well worn. The room felt like it was touched up rather than cleaned. The bathroom and one of the beds had hair on it that was certainly not mine. They do not clean or refresh the rooms during your stay. If you need anything, you need to go to front desk. It was definitely an older property and there is no parking near the rooms. Many break this rule which is a fire hazard but the lighting on the property is not maintained which means you are walking from the lot to your room in the dark. Overall the property was quiet and the staff were friendly, there just wasn't a ton of them. If you are looking for a quiet place on a budget it's not a bad bet to stay here.

Great location… and very dated. The rooms smelled. The carpet, the shades, the bedding, the table linens… all had a very stale smell. The wallpaper was old, the carpet throughout the whole place has frayed edges, stains, and was very well worn. Spider webs were in the seasonal room leading outside towards the pool. The pool bottom has lots of paint chips missing and very few worn out lounge chairs. The shower faucet was coming out of the wall and the shower head had poor flow (hard water build up?). Definitely wished we spent just a little more for something that didn’t make our clothes smell.

Hotel did not have our reservation. Then they found our reservation but gave us a different room than we requested. Our room's deadbolt chain had been torn off the door frame. The bathroom tiles were very worn and the tub was stained. There was hair found under our pillows and tucked into the sheets of both beds. The property is extremely dated and worn out. I stayed here as a kid and was looking forward to going back, but I wouldn't go again, it was sad to see it in such a state.

Staff was very friendly. There was a small playground for the kids which was nice to see. Unfortunately noticed used needles under one of our beds. They were closed/protected but still made us question the cleanliness of the place. The area was booked for the weekend so we didn’t really have other options. I just didn’t let the kids on the floor and we left first thing in the morning.

The actual bedroom smelled musty and the bathroom/sink area was not well cleaned out. The bath tub and shower curtain were moldy and hairballs were on the floor. Luckily, there was a dollar tree just down the road where we bought cleaning supplies and shower curtains. The beds were clean, well made and comfy. The breakfast was decent and the kitchen area was kept well. The pool was also clean and pleasant. We used to stay at this hotel often, back maybe 5 years ago and it has not been kept up. It's a shame because it's located in SUCH a beautiful area.

Pros: large property, nice views, lots of activities for kids, decent breakfast Cons: a bit rundown, thin walls between rooms (could hear someone snoring), indoor pools were dirty (water was murky and you could see hair and dirt floating)

Our room was not cleaned. Vanity area was dirty and so wasn’t the shower curtain. Told the staff and was going to tell Manger. We went out for the day and when we came home at 7:30 PM, the room was still not cleaned… had to have a very nice guy at the front desk come and give us pillows, towel towels, and new shower curtains . He also cleaned the vanity for us.

This hotel was rundown and disgusting. There were dirty tissue stuck between the bed headboard and the wall, dirty handprints on the wall and a layer of dust on the light fixtures. The room smelled musty and disgusting. The carpet was actually wet the whole time we were there. The bathroom sink didn’t drain and filled with water every time we used it. The tub wasn’t much better. We actually considered just leaving and paying for a second hotel room somewhere else. We stayed there years ago and had a lovely experience…this was absolutely not lovely. We decided to stay and just spend as little time as possible in the hotel which was a real bummer. I didn’t take pictures because it was certainly not a place I wanted to relive or ever see again. I was so happy when we checked out. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

The parking lot is away from the building and you’re not allowed to park on the driveway you’ll be fined. There is not enough lighting from the parking area which is a distance away to the building.

Rather disappointing. The lodge is situated on prime property. Amazing location, amazing view. But the place has been forgotten in time. Extremely outdated, wallpaper peeling off walls, old fixtures, old everything. Very worn out. The beds were some of the worse mattresses I’ve ever slept on. My entire family was in agony each morning from them. They really need to put a lot of work into bringing the lodge into the 21st century and make beds suitable for humans. I will say for a place that allows pets, it was very clean. Didn’t smell bad or have any stains or marks at all, so that’s one thing they have going for them.

The front desk staff was absolutely wonderful, very helpful and attentive.. But.....when we walked to our room at this former "resort" we were shocked at how deeply it had fallen into disrepair... the buildings were overly worn and run down. Then we entered the room and honestly were afraid to put anything down. All i can say is DIRTY. Just plain dirty.. It was not cheap and they were checking people and families in one after another.. We left and found a nicer place

This hotel is in dire need of renovations and a more customer service oriented staff. The shower was broken in the room, and instead of being offered another room (there were plenty of vacancies), we had to wait until noon the following day for it to be fixed. According to the desk staff, this was common there. Even worse you can walk right into the hotel from any entrance without a key, nothing is locked. This is true at all hours of the night. Extremely unsafe considering the weekend we were there was the weekend of the mass shootings in Maine and other hotels in town were in soft lockdown. Overall, very dingy and dirty. The pictures are not indicative of the current condition. Very unfortunate as you can tell it was a nice property at one time.

Paid in full for 5 rooms in advance for the property through hotels . Com. Upon arrival they had no record of payment. Required me to pay a second time and attempt to get a refund from hotels. Com. In years past we have stayed at Fox Ridge several times, back then the hotel was a Red Jacket property and was very well maintained and was always very nice. The hotel is no longer a Red Jacket property and the level of maintenance and attention to detail has dramatically decreased. The upside was: The hotel was clean and bright, the desk workers were friendly and efficient. The room was large enough for the 4 of use and had a mini fridge and a tub which came in handy with 2 small children. The breakfast was better than the average hotel breakfast but definitely not the grand buffet it used to be, but we were happy to have to take the kids out early in the morning. The downside was: The outdoor pool was closed and empty, the mini golf course was in disrepair with much of the green carpet torn. The front lawn where there were several lawn games was overgrown and I assume no longer used. The play area behind the hotel was very small and only consisted of a backyard sized swing set. Overall this is a nice place to stay of you have small kids but I fear that if they don't do some serious upgrades they will be forced under by all the new hotel construction that is taking place all along the road this hotel is on.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Travelled with a friend and we felt safe and relaxed the whole time we were here. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Only complaint I would have is that the room beside ours chained smoked on their balcony which made our room constantly stink.

This was a very last minute decision to stay here to escape the heat of our camping trip. Not only did they have the availability, they also allowed us and our dogs to get an early check in. The staff was so accommodating and friendly.

This stay was my 6th stay at the Fox Ridge. When I checked I had to pay an extra $40 “resort fee” which I have never done before. The room was clean and stocked well. There was trash around the property the whole 3 days we were there- beer can, half drank coffee. Food options were slim, the cereal was not refilled. The outdoor pool was not open, considering is was 90* the whole time we visited. There was only one staff member who spoke English and that was pleasant with us. I don’t believe I will be staying there again which is unfortunate.

Assigned a lower room that flooded through the ceiling from the toilet above late at night. We called the desk and they had us come get a key to another room and move... no one offered any help or even came to see! Next day we realized we didn't have one of our toothbrushes- an expensive electric toothbrush. We were told that they'd call look for it and call us. No one called. Next day I called again to see if it was found. No response for a solid week. Then they finally called to say they had it and asked for my credit card for shipping charges. I asked if they were serious! They were going to make me pay to get it back after betting shuffled in the middle of the night due to toilet water coming in on us. I was stunned. The manager then told me she would mail it without my card and that she was sorry for our trouble. That was three weeks ago now and nothing. Not only were they rude every step of the way, made a bad situation worse, but they have no integrity at all.

This was a last minute trip for us, we love that the property was easy to book, let us check in late at night and made it easy to get checked in and showing us around. The view was amazing and we were excited about all the stuff available in the area. The pool was so nice to wake up to, while we were only in the area for less than 24 hours, I would definitely recommend and come back again!

We’ve been coming to North Conway for many years, but this was the first time we’ve stayed at Fox Ridge. From walking in the door, the staff was so kind and friendly. The property is beautiful, though dated (like most of this area, it’s not super modern and that’s part of the fun!). Breakfast was delicious and we made use of the indoor pool each night after playing out in the hot sun all day. The property is close to restaurants and stores that you can walk or easily drive to. The only downside is the game room, which was extremely hot and the games are a bit dated. This didn’t bother my kids too much (they’re little). But, if arcades are your thing and you want more than air hockey and 2 racing games, you can walk a very short distance to the one next door! So this didn’t end up being a big deal at all. We will definitely be returning to Fox Ridge as overall it was clean, comfortable, affordable and had everything we needed for a great family stay.

We were blown away by the "continental breakfast" offered in the morning. In most hotels, that would involve a granola bar and maybe coffee. In the Fox Ridge Resort, it was a full on buffet breakfast with numerous, delicious choices. There were eggs, hashbrowns, sausage links or patties, and many juice options. It was a very pleasant surprise. The parking left a lot to be desired; there was plenty of it, but a bit of a walk back to the resort. It's on the same property but away from the buildings. We arrived after dark and although the parking lot itself was lit up, the walk back to our room was WITHOUT LIGHT WHATSOEVER. There should be an investment in path lighting at the very least.

Worked fine for us with our dogs. Our room was average. Quiet. Clean. Tv was not working properly. Breakfast decemt. Indoor pool was good. The outdoor pool needs to be redone for sure. And as soon as possible! No food on premise other than breakfast. Decent $.

The weather was just turning hot, the view was amazing from our room from the sitting balcony. The hotel room is fit for a short or long stay. Mini fridge and coffee maker no microwave. They have drink machines on the floor but no vending. They do have some snacks and games at front desk. Amazing breakfast every morning. A indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi it closes at 9pm a mini golf course on grounds. Close to all shopping and restaurants. Overall we really loved our stay and went back a few weeks later to stay the night same great experience in another room.

The staff was wonderful. Unfortunately the breakfast was less than great. We went to the complimentary breakfast for 3 days, and the choices were the same. The eggs were awful. They were dry and did not look appetizing never mind tasted good. The hotel itself could use some TLC. The carpet, walls, and paint need an update. We were issued one key and the deadbolt on some rooms didn’t work and/or didn’t have one. Time to get with the times.

The pools looked good(we did not use). Resort had great view. Our room did not. Our room had a wet floor and smelled liked it had been flooded. Room was extremely dated. Breakfeast was bare minimum. I would not recommend staying here unless the pool is your goal

I bet this place was beautiful when it first opened but it needs some some refurbishing/upkeep. I booked it for the hot tub which was broken and sounds like not being fixed anytime soon. That being said, the room was clean, breakfast was adequate, and the staff was great. We had fun playing mini golf and the pools are very large. We enjoyed our stay but definitely wished I had seen it when it first opened.

This place is hard to describe. It has a retro vintage ski lodge/family car trip feel - like we should have rolled up in a station wagon. The property is beautiful - it would be great for turning the kids loose to play on the grounds, and to enjoy the huge well-maintained pool, etc. Good breakfast and nice spaces (screened porch) to relax with a book. The big drawback is that the property is outdated and needs some upgrades. The mattresses were not the greatest, the parking area is dark and a little unsafe feeling, and our toilet didn’t flush efficiently. Overall a good stay - mainly because it was a beautiful space and a beautiful day. Go enjoy the outdoors!
This place is hard to describe. It has a retro vintage ski lodge/family car trip feel - like we should have rolled up in a station wagon. The property is beautiful - it would be great for turning the kids loose to play on the grounds, and to enjoy the huge well-maintained pool, etc. Good breakfast and nice spaces (screened porch) to relax with a book. The big drawback is that the property is outdated and needs some upgrades.
