Boardwalk Resorts- La Sammana

The property was two blocks from the beach and conveniently close to dining and activities. It was quiet except for the three fire alarms that went off that week from someone cooking bacon or smoking. The fire dept was across the street. You can get beach tags from the front desk and get your $ back when you return the tags. The elevators were fast. There were washers and dryers on premises on the third floor. The fitness room was newly installed. There was also a recreation room for board games, puzzles and movies. The staff were friendly and helpful in moving out.

Great place and only reason why I cant give a 5 is due to pool being closed. I think they should of let guest know in advance. I believe they have other horels they own in area just think they should of offered guest to use pool at the other locations.

Easy check in, clean room, and convenient to be able to park at the hotel and walk to the beach. Beach tags available from the hotel for a refundable deposit which was super convenient. 15 minutes drive in to Atlantic City if you choose. Great spot and very nice area!

We were extremely happy staying at this Hotel. Excellent location,, close to beach. Easy access to restaurants. Rooms , kitchenette very clean,, Clean Bedsheets when we arrived, Nice Gym. Elevators, are clean,. Hallways are clean, Staff and bellhop extremely helpful and courteous. Lobby entrance well maintained. We will return next year for sure. Thank you !

Very short walk to beach. Beach towels available at front desk to sign out and return daily. Very pleasant staff. Eateries available within walking distance from 1/4 mile to 1.3 miles. Plenty of parking available on second level if first level of garage full. Shuttle available to nearby casinos & historic Smithville. With knowledgeable and pleasant drivers.

The property is well managed and the polite staff is very accommodating. However, a $50 cash deposit is charged to borrow any one of the following: a beach tag, a beach towel, or a beach chair. Also, the rooms have a cooking area, but $50 is charged if the dishes are not washed and put away. There is a mini dishwasher in the room, although no supplied dishwasher detergent. It was particularly nice to have a covered parking lot attached to the hotel while visiting during a heat wave.

Clean, spacious, and nice property. Worked out in the gym. There are kitchens but I didn’t need to use them.

The room was exceptionally clean & the bed & pillows were comfortable. Staff was friendly & helpful. We would stay here again.

The room offered was only facing the street and fire department. This was disappointing. It was a dark and dull studio for two. The safe did not work, but the maintenance man, Dan, was happy to fix it. One day my room was not cleaned. There is parking on the roof, but the lower level was gross and dark with two dead birds present. The only positive was the location. It is a quick walk to the beach, the shops, and restaurants. The hotel provides beach badges. Try a small home or cottage to achieve more at this small, seaside beach town.

The King room was very nice, location was great. Staff could be a little nicer and they are tight with bath towels. We had to ask for towels everyday. And I guess rooms don't get cleaned daily anymore, even when you have the sign on the door.

Not worth the price per night. Over rated. In the suite, the air conditioner was too cold in the sitting/ kitchenette area, barely cool in the bedroom. There’s a stale, old odor of cigarettes throughout the building and in the room. It’s an old complex that’s been refurbished, but, not upscale enough considering the cost.

They don’t clean your room unless you stay there a minimum of 5 nights which is not reasonable considering the sand you bring in from the beach. Also, the key technology they use to enter the rooms is antiquated and can take up to 10 swipes To enter your room if you can get in at all. Place need to be updated.

We had an amazing stay. The only one thing that was a little disappointing was we put our pass on our door for house keeping one day and no one came

Our room smelled of heavy cleaning product. The clothes we didn't wear had to be washed when we got home to rid them of the smell.

Decor was very dated. Hallway was very musty.

We liked very much our room and the roof top pool. The area is very nice and relaxing. This is our third year here and we are looking forward to our next visit. The facility had a lot of upgrades this year and we are told they are not done. My only problem was the WIFI. We were in an end unit and it was very spotty, working and then not working. But overall a big plus

I never had a working internet. Front desk said it was the type of machines I used. But my computer and phone both worked fine in restaurants in coffee shops and in the library across the street. Not having Internet caused all sorts of problems and issues. The people at the front desk claimed they were working on the problem but it never got fixed.

Overall a okay hotel relatively close to the beach. The rooms are dated, but spacious, and have kitchenettes. We got the king suite (sleeps 4 people). The main bed was comfortable, the second bed was a convertible couch and was pretty rough on my back - I would not recommend for anything more than 1 night stay. The reason why our trip left a very bad aftertaste is the fact they they make guests clean all the dishes prior to checkout. We stayed at endless hotels with kitchens (similar setup), and never ever had to wash the dishes as a requirement. This delayed our checkout, as I had to go back and do the dishes. I also had 3 of my kids waiting, one of them a newborn. Anyways, as I was washing the stupid dishes, the hotel staff kept on knocking on our door and rushing me. They also kept calling the phone, not allowing my newborn to sleep. I felt like I was working for them, not the other way around. The goal of this stay was to relax, instead we left all stressed out. A very humiliating experience, to put this mildly. Initially, I tried leaving this feedback with the lady at the lobby, but she started arguing with me, so I am leaving the feedback here. I will never go back to this place. Yikes.

We enjoy staying here but had trouble with air conditioning in living room. We asked to get addressed but no success.

The decor needs a major overhaul, it’s very outdated and dingy. The dark colors in the room make it look/feel dirty and the hallway carpet is just an awful color/design. The mixing of old with modern is not working in this hotel…plus, we believe there’s mold throughout. My husband was sneezing throughout the night and work up horse both mornings, yet he was fine during the day.

Staff is very friendly. Room is beautiful. Close to shops, restaurants and the beach. Location has all the things you need to relax. The kitchenette in the room is perfect.

Lasamana is a great place to stay but the rooms need a face lift. Been staying here over 13 years and the decor/carpet/ curtains have not been updated ever. It has so much potential that is untapped. It is just a shame. I do enjoy most of the staff especially the doorman who has been there forever. I missed Mona this year. The vibe seemed a little less friendly than in the past. Hope that changes

We had such a great time! This was our 2nd trip at this property and we loved it! Great location very close to the beach, a place to eat, and some stores. More places to eat and stores are about a mile walk or you can drive everywhere. They have a shuttle but we didn’t use it. They have a gym and a small roof top pool. Everyone there is nice especially the front desk staff Sayed and Mona. Thanks for a great stay.

We were at Brigantine Beach for a memorial service on 6/22/24. The La Sammana was very convenient for our short stay; close to the beach where the service was held and a nearby restaurant used for the repast. The hotel room was basic, but clean. The front desk clerk was anything, but welcoming. She barely looked up when we arrived. She was clearly not busy, since we were the only guests in the lobby, yet she took her time to answer our questions. We asked if there was a possibility of checking in early due to the timing of the service. She barely made an attempt to help us and ultimately we gave up and attended the service without freshening up or changing. We were very disappointed in the lack of hospitality by someone who was employed for the very definition of the word. Can’t say we would return to this establishment.

Everyone from the manager to the cleaning people were friendly and concerned that we have a nice stay. Hate the 'resort fee'. Don't use those services and see it just as a way to raise the price.

Spent nights here over Fourth of July. Highly recommend. Great staff, location and clean rooms.

This was the best stay I've had in a very long time. My room was spacious. Friendly atmosphere- easy parking, greeted and assisted immediately. Very short walk to the beach. As a solo traveler, it was perfect.

It was very comfortable and well maintained. I loved having the convenience of a small kitchen and the space was just right for the 3 of us. A king bed would have been nice though. The property is very convenient to dining and it is a block to the beach. I will absolutely return!

Very quiet property, and the town of Brigintine is so quiet and quaint filled with small shops and restaurants that are very very good. We ate at Gianni’s for breakfast and Andre’s Italian for dinner. One day we decided not to go into Atlantic City and just relax and came upon those restaurants and of course you can still walk to the beach. Can’t wait to go back!

Best-kept secret @ Jersey Shore, a true oasis 4 all who want 2 get away & feel very uplifted from all the stresses & noises of everyday life. I mean it, u just won't believe a resort hotel like this exists in So. Jersey! Only thing u won't find here is a free breakfast. So what. They have their own restaurant/lounge on premises, plus Yanni's cafe is a literal 2 min walk, & the famous Richman's Ice Cream & restaurant is just up the street! Beach is just a city block walk away (or 2-3 blocks 4 those from smaller towns). No biggie. & they offer complementary shuttle service 2 various attractions, like Historic Smithville! And what I found really nice is they basically give u FREE Beach Badges! U just give deposit of $25, but that's fully returned to u when u teturn the badges at the end of day -- each morn put down $$, but get it 100% back at night! Wow! Finally, I hope my pics help show how nice this resort hotel & room was, but believe me, this place was far nicer than these photos could ever convey! BTW, we stayed in 5th floor, corner ocean view room. We got a free upgrade 2 it when we shared our near death experience traveling 2 this place & they happened 2 have this very nice multi-room suite w/ huge jetted tub & sauna, which they so graciously gave 2 us! WOW! Great staff, including Great Manager! Very nice bellhop & maids & all other personnel there! Rooftop pool was nice, but very small. It obviously used 2 be a hot tub. But, the rooftop views were spectacular!

Enjoyed our stay at La Sammanna. Our room was clean and comfortable. The rooftop pool is quite small, but it was a wonderful place to just sit and relax, there is a wonderful view of the ocean, bay and Brigantine Island from the deck. Staff were all very friendly. There is no breakfast, but there is coffee available...have to look for it, it is in the workout area. Our only complaint was that the key pad on our door didn't work very well. Front desk attempted to fix it, sometimes it would work, sometimes we had to have someone from the hotel open our door! The area has food and other stores available within walking distance. Free parking under the building.The beach is a one block walk. We would definitely return to this location.
