Really enjoyed staying at the Star Inn. Very nice and have access to all the facilities at Congress Hall. Only gripe was lack of parking due to a busy weekend and people parking where they weren't supposed to.

Parking was easy and secure. The one bedroom suite was spacious. We had access to all of Congress Hall’s amenities. We visited The Brown Room last evening for a nightcap and enjoyed the live music (guitar player).

Everything was beautiful. Had no idea beach passes, towels umbrellas and chairs were complimentary! So that was an awesome surprise as well as parking. Definitely recommend this stay to anyone. Beautiful area right near the beach and walking distance from restaurants and shops.

The place is very clean quaint. A little dated and there was no fridge or microwave in the room, but we were not bothered by it. Great location right by the main strip, and you can also use the Congress Hall grounds as the two properties have the same owners. It’s also right across from Congress Hall. My husband and I really liked it.

A very clean and more intimate way of staying in Cape May than the big grand resorts or the motels. I found it both very peaceful (1-2 min walk from the beach) and in the heart of things (equally close to most of the excellent food places and shops in the area). The innkeeper was fantastic. I never use concierge services while travelling but touched base with her twice a day as a solo traveler new to the area simply because she was so helpful and kind without being overbearing. The café is enough to grab a quick meal or drink if needed but small enough not to disturb you with foot traffic noise if you're in the rooms above it during operational hours. Everything was cleaned to my liking. If you like cozy, you'll like this place, if you like sleek modernism or minimalistic interiors this isn't the place for that. I loved it, it was very 'Cape May' and tastefully done. This was honestly an absolute dream of a place for me - I could never afford it if I hadn't stayed in the off-season, but the service was top-tier anyway and if I ever have the money, I'm staying here for a week minimum.

Right in historic area so can walk to beach and the Mall with all of the stores and restaurants. We had a little porch w rocking chairs. The room was so clean and decorated beautifully. Had a little living room with a kitchenette and the separate bedroom. I will definitely book here again!!!

It’s mostly what you would come to expect from Cape Resorts. Access to the highlights of each hotel, beach plum farm toiletries, etc. We stayed in the main house, queen size room and it was fine. Great size closet (small room) and very good size bathroom. Decor was cute, great access to town highlights and a coffee shop in the lobby.

Loved our stay at The Star! The rooms are gorgeous and super comfortable. They are clean and bright and the beds are the most comfortable I have ever slept in! The location can’t be beat! It’s close to the mall for shopping and restaurants for hanging with friends. We had a great time. Can’t wait to go back!

My wife and I stayed at the Star Inn for 2 nights as we were getting married. I must've mentioned it to someone because we came back to the room on the 2nd night to a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, and a congratulations letter from the Star Inn. Was a very warming and unexpected surprise. Highly recommended.

The toilet wasn't working properly and staff had to come.3x to fix. They ended up finding a screw that had been flushed down the toilet. We were traveling with our toddler so it made for a headache. The owner came out and offered us another room but at that point it was fixed and very late. The owner did offer us a free complementary breakfast at the blue pig however I felt it was a weak proposal given the circumstances.

Loved this place! We usually stay at Congress Hall but tried this sister property across the street. It was so cute! Right in historic area so can walk to beach and the Mall with all of the stores and restaurants. We had a little porch w rocking chairs. The room was so clean and decorated beautifully. Had a little living room with a kitchenette and the separate bedroom. I will definitely book here again!!!

Everything was beautiful. Had no idea beach passes, towels umbrellas and chairs were complimentary! So that was an awesome surprise as well as parking. Definitely recommend this stay to anyone. Beautiful area right near the beach and walking distance from restaurants and shops.

Parking was easy and secure. The one bedroom suite was spacious. We had access to all of Congress Hall’s amenities. We visited The Brown Room last evening for a nightcap and enjoyed the live music (guitar player).

A very clean and more intimate way of staying in Cape May than the big grand resorts or the motels. I found it both very peaceful (1-2 min walk from the beach) and in the heart of things (equally close to most of the excellent food places and shops in the area). The innkeeper was fantastic. I never use concierge services while travelling but touched base with her twice a day as a solo traveler new to the area simply because she was so helpful and kind without being overbearing. The café is enough to grab a quick meal or drink if needed but small enough not to disturb you with foot traffic noise if you're in the rooms above it during operational hours. Everything was cleaned to my liking. If you like cozy, you'll like this place, if you like sleek modernism or minimalistic interiors this isn't the place for that. I loved it, it was very 'Cape May' and tastefully done. This was honestly an absolute dream of a place for me - I could never afford it if I hadn't stayed in the off-season, but the service was top-tier anyway and if I ever have the money, I'm staying here for a week minimum.

The toilet wasn't working properly and staff had to come.3x to fix. They ended up finding a screw that had been flushed down the toilet. We were traveling with our toddler so it made for a headache. The owner came out and offered us another room but at that point it was fixed and very late. The owner did offer us a free complementary breakfast at the blue pig however I felt it was a weak proposal given the circumstances.

Outstanding Location, Relaxed Charm! The Star Inn sits across from Congress Hall on Perry Street and is part of the Cape Resorts family. It's a sprawling, beach-house-style inn located just half a block from the beach, and it operates as a younger, more laid-back sibling to Congress Hall, offering integrated services and amenities. We stayed in room #8 on the third floor. It was a clean, well-kept room with a queen bed that felt larger than expected, along with a dresser and closet. Our bathroom was across a hall near an emergency exit, but that area is alarmed and off limits to keep things secure, and our room door leading to it locked as well. We really liked the setup. Worth noting: the third floor is accessible by stairs only. It's not an excessive climb, but anyone with mobility concerns or health issues should ask about accessibility before booking. Check-in was simple and pleasant. Cassandra, who runs the check-in desk and the small coffee and baking shop, was excellent. She was there throughout the day with a warm greeting and always asked how our stay was going. One of the best perks of staying at The Star Inn is full access to the Congress Hall pool and amenities, just a quick walk across the street (honestly, sometimes faster than walking there from within Congress Hall itself).
