This was our second visit at the Virginia and yet again , we loved it! Friendly and attentive staff, great service, lovely ambiance and great amenities. We love the complimentary breakfast out on the porch and the ability to use the pool at The Congress Hall. Looking forward to our next trip back!

Wonderful hotel in a perfect location. Be warned there is no elevator, so it's not for the cardio-impaired. But the room was very comfortable, and the staff are super-friendly. It is lovely to just spend an hour sitting on the porch and not feel rushed by anything or anyone.

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. Food was excellent. Parking was included. Beach chairs, umbrella and towels were included, which is a huge plus. The hotel was centrally located and very convenient

First time staying at Virginia Hotel but definitely won’t be our last. The hotel itself is so pretty ( fresh flowers everywhere) and smells so good. Loved the outdoor porch and lounge areas. Rooms were elegantly appointed but the thing that really sets this hotel apart was the service. From check in , to the bar and breakfast staff , valet , the staff couldn’t do enough for the guests . Also loved the fact that we could use pool at Congress hall and enjoyed wonderful beach service as well. We will be back !

I liked that it was in the center of Cape May. I didn't like the parking was off site but they did provide valet parking which was very nice.

The hotel is in wonderful condition considering its age. Clean, beautifully decorated. The staff is beyond accommodating. The service was impeccable. I can’t recommend this place enough. 2-minute walk to the pool at The Congress and all the amenities. We were more than happy staying at The Virginia over The Congress as it’s super quiet and quaint one block over.

The hotel is in wonderful condition considering its age. Clean, beautifully decorated. The staff is beyond accommodating. The service was impeccable. I can’t recommend this place enough. 2-minute walk to the pool at The Congress and all the amenities. We were more than happy staying at The Virginia over The Congress as it’s super quiet and quaint one block over.

Management was hugely helpful, got us into our room with no inconvenience late on the night of Christmas. Beautiful room, very comfortable and clean.

A beautiful property on the best street in Cape May. We enjoyed not having to deal with the car once we got there. Central to everything. Breakfast was understaffed. The poor guy was running around like mad. It took 45 minutes for toast and quiche. We ended up eating at the Mad Batter next door the next 2 days. Overall a great stay.

Very well kept and charming. Breakfast was great. First floor quite active in the evening with the dinner crowd but that added nice energy to the building. Also, first floor noise does not travel upstairs.

Great hotel in a great location. Food on site is really good. Shinning star of this place is the people!! Some of the best service I have received while staying in a resort. The only thing that could be improved was my bed was very uncomfortable. Small miss with all the perks. Beach service was great!!

Outstanding customer service. Friendly, personable, and competent staff. I had a couple of room requests due to severe allergies and they were all taken care of which was much appreciated. We were in room 310. No elevator but stairwell was nice and large. Room was small but nicely decorated and bright. There was a safe, refrigerator, chairs and nice furniture. AC was surprisingly good and room was nice and cool. No bath but shower pressure was great. Location was superb. One block from great shopping, restaurants, pubs, and streets lined with beautiful Victorian buildings. In the other direction one block from the beach. Beach badges are complimentary as well as beach umbrella and chairs. Valet service brought our bags to our room. I prefer self parking so parked in the hotel lot a block away. Complimentary water bottles in room as well as water in lobby and cookies in the evening. This places rocks!!! Its a bit pricey but worth every penny. The awesome staff are the icing on the cake! We will be back for sure.

Wonderful stay for our 28th anniversary. Food was very good and had a lot of fun at the bar after dinner. Room was cozy, bed was comfortable and bathroom was updated & beautiful! Will be back again for sure!

Charming hotel within easy walking distance of restaurants, shopping and the beach. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Nice complimentary breakfast options. Fine dining in the Ebbitt Room is awesome. Very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. I’d suggest a room on an upper floor to avoid hearing and seeing people dining on the porch right outside the window (Room 101). They start playing soft jazz music at 7 AM which didn’t bother me but if you like to sleep late this might be a problem. Otherwise it’s a lovely hotel in beautiful Cape May.

The Virginia is a fantastic hotel, the staff are all above average from check in with Harry to Fletcher who mans the bar. The property is cozy with a roaring fire in the parlor while seated on a long sofa upholstered in a soft green velvet. The breakfast which is included with your stay is beyond the idea of a continental one, it is all delicious, filling & enough of a reason to stay. I can’t wait to return!

Kristof was very kind, courteous and helpful! The staff made our anniversary feel very special and romantic! We took advantage of booking at the Ebbit Room the concierges and Zayne was excellent, would recommend using the service! The breakfast was excellent and included!

The Virginia was a wonderful, historic hotel with amazing details inside. All of the staff were just amazing. The breakfast allowed you to pick from a menu: Juice (Pick from 3 options) Coffee Sweet (Pick from a list of options) Savory (Pick from a list of options) Options provided a good mix of healthy and yummy choices. You could also pick where you wanted breakfast: In your room, in the dining room, front porch, or in a parlor with a fireplace.

First time staying at Virginia Hotel but definitely won’t be our last. The hotel itself is so pretty ( fresh flowers everywhere) and smells so good. Loved the outdoor porch and lounge areas. Rooms were elegantly appointed but the thing that really sets this hotel apart was the service. From check in , to the bar and breakfast staff , valet , the staff couldn’t do enough for the guests . Also loved the fact that we could use pool at Congress hall and enjoyed wonderful beach service as well. We will be back !

This property is directly in the middle of Cape May near the Washington St Mall. Lots of different restaurants available nearby. The Virginia’s sister hotel, Congress Hall, is less than a 5 minute walk away and offers many amenities.

Excellent property. Kind staff. Quaint and located in the heart of Cape May just steps away from Washington Street and the beach. They have a decent gym at The Sand Piper - this the the gym the Virginia Hotel guests use. Will definitely be back! Quick babymoon getaway with my husband :)

Wonderful hotel in a perfect location. Be warned there is no elevator, so it's not for the cardio-impaired. But the room was very comfortable, and the staff are super-friendly. It is lovely to just spend an hour sitting on the porch and not feel rushed by anything or anyone.

The Virginia Hotel had never disappointed. The hotel is top of the class in Cape May and the service is exceptional. The food is top notch, the drinks are astounding and the ambience is perfect. A lovely place to stay if you enjoy the classic environment and old world charm.

Boutique hotel - restaurant was very expensive (food was good but not outstanding for the price). Room on 3rd floor - no elevator which was unusual and detracted from the overall review rating. January reservation - room was overheated with no means to adjust temp other than open a window which did not solve the temp issue. Room was nice, amenities ok. Parking was at Congress Hall a few blocks away (not especially convenient). Overall rating, would I book at this hotel again? No - ok experience but nothing really outstanding or noteworthy

A beautiful property on the best street in Cape May. We enjoyed not having to deal with the car once we got there. Central to everything. Breakfast was understaffed. The poor guy was running around like mad. It took 45 minutes for toast and quiche. We ended up eating at the Mad Batter next door the next 2 days. Overall a great stay.

The staff was incredibly helpful and kind - the hotel was so cute; loved the linens and it was the perfect location. The challenge was the AC and the noise in our room. The AC wasn't working so they brought in a window AC that was loud and noisy and that would shut off and on throughout the night which woke us up. During the late evenings we could hear loud people on the street. When we checked out I mentioned the AC and the front desk said they'd let maintenance know.

Very clean attractive facility. Big wrap around porch. Right in historic area close to beach. Free continental breakfast plus cooked food if you want it. Associated with congress hotel, you can use their facilities and pool. Valet parking behind congress.

This was our first time staying here and it won’t be the last as this boutique hotel is amazing! From the extremely friendly and welcoming staff to the very clean and comfortable room to the delicious complimentary breakfast, I can’t recommend staying here more!
