The Hotel at Dayton South

Overall the stay was good. Room was fine. Older, but still clean. Small things like there had been some kind of leak in the ceiling and the paper was peeling and the knob to turn on the water in the shower was not easy to turn. Breakfast was yummy and easy. For a quick trip, I would stay here again.

Stay was not that great. Check in was easy. There were several water leaks in the halls leaving the rugs soaking wet. The room was dirty and dusty. The chair and credenza were flaking. Towels were not exchanged, had to go every evening and get towels and washcloths. Final evening there I got handed two rags and three hand towels. He had to go to another room to get clean bath towels and he said there were none that were clean. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. I will not be staying here again.

Nice enough hotel for the price. Breakfast was pretty good. I did have a slight problem with attempting to check-in early. Most hotels will at least give you an hour grace. I showed up at 2:00 pm hoping for the best, but was told I would have to wait. We were coming in for a softball tournament, and I knew it would be past 9:00 pm before coming back to our hotel for the night. So there I was at 9:00 pm attempting to have a smooth check- in. The front desk worker had to take a quick break before helping us, which added to my frustration. At 2:00 pm with my initial attempt, I said I wouldn't even need to go to my room I just wanted to have it done for later so I could go straight up and not have to wait.

The breakfast was good! The gym equipment is held together by literal duct tape. Not worth the price.

Breakfast was really good, room was clean but the walls are thin and we could hear everything from the neighbors. There was a pipe dripping on the first floor in the hall with a bucket of water under it that just got fuller and fuller.
