Marriott at the University of Dayton

Located right across from the University of Dayton, I recommend this property. It was my first time in Dayton and at a Marriott property. Amenities were great. Nice to have another breakfast area for us on the 6th floor! The cost is a bit more than I am used to but I was attending a graduation and wanted to be with others. My only issue (a small one) was that while the room was lovely and appeared clean, the carpet did not appear to have been vacuumed. I checked-in around midnight and went right to bed. In the morning, in the light of day, I noticed sock lint and other light colored debris on the carpet and near couch. I bit gross but I just wore slippers.

I’ve Stayed at the property many times, nice hotel. Truck was broken into overnight. I was informed this is a regular thing by the authorities. The staff did report it to authorities fast and they were able to stop what would have been GTA. Still a ton of damage and loss of items. I feel like there are multiple fixes to this problem.

The lobby and bar area were nice, and the staff was great. I was disappointed with the appetizers and breakfast on the 6th floor.

Room needed properly vacuumed there were chez-its on floor from previous guest

Room was clean. Shower head leaked and water pressure was low.
