The room was clean. Very run down. Used. Tv missing in living room. Toilet coming off of floor. Outside stairs very old. No indoor pool. Outdoor pool was green and closed. Breakfast was so-so. Not worth what I was charged. Another person said their room was really nice. So we drew the short stick apparently. Manager said they are slowly remodeling it.

Older property with a maze of various buildings, hidden walkways, and outdoor stairs to the rooms. Only 2nd floor units were available and the wooden stairs where difficult at night with baggage. There was a large bag of garbage outside at the base of my stairs for the first 2 days. Room was no smoking but had a stale smoke smell. Good linens and towels and a comfortable bed. Shower worked well. Great variety of nearby restaurants and shopping. When I left a plastic cup had been placed behind one of my tires but I removed it before backing out. If I return to Dayton I probably won’t return to this hotel although it sufficed

The staff were very friendly and helpful but the room had lots of niggling faults, the so called buffet breakfast could do with a lot more items, plus the pool was closed.

It was interesting. Not enough parking, checked in and had to park 2 buildings away from the building we were in. It was sketchy, light switch covers busted, loose outlets, random mismatched bowls and a lot with a lid that was too big. Bed was uncomfortable, couch was a pullout without the mattress so it sagged bad. For the price and the amount of time we spent in the room, jsut shower and leave it worked but will choose something different next time. Rundown

The room was nice but the “breakfast” was a corner store delight Iv had better breakfast in the justice center “Hamilton county jail” also maybe specify on the booking sight that the pool is outdoors no one wants to deal with a mad 6 year old other then breakfast and amenities I like the rooms but absolutely missed on everything else honey buns for breakfast try again

The bed in the upstairs loft had the worst mattress I’ve ever tried to sleep on. When I sat on the edge of the bed the mattress crushed down nearly a foot. Lying in bed my wife and I rolled towards the outside. We could barely get any sleep trying to keep from rolling off. When my wife got out of bed I fell out of bed when the mattress shifted. Also several couch cushions were ripped; many lights burnt out; toilet made loud gurgling noise during refill of tank; it looked like blood stains on carpet upstairs. The breakfast food was not very appetizing. No ice machine. We will not be returning to this hotel again.

This place needs some major renovations and better lighting outside. The room was dirty and the environment seemed very sketchy. I ended up leaving and requesting my money back. They did honor that and refunded me my money as soon as I took pictures and showed them the condition of the room.

It seems like they were apartments that are now hotel rooms. Things were just dingy, the "fold out" couch was a bigger version of those cartoon toddler foam couches. It was dark and there were no light switches for many of the lights, like in the kitchen and the bathroom. One towel and 2 hand towels in the main bath. No washcloths etc. The bed was comfortable and we made it work for one night

The room was really ran down my beds weren’t made, looked like someone had already slept in them, the kitchen was not very welcoming for cooking I didn’t even want to use the coffee pot. The floors looked like they haven’t been vacuumed, I didn’t even want to take my shoes off after a 12 hour drive. The tables were dirty one of the TV’s didn’t work the cabinets were missing doors. I will never stay there at that location ever again.

Check in and out staff was friendly. The set up was a motel set up not hotel. The room was in an apartment like complex. The complexes were not well kept. The property was very "shady" and dirty. Once in the room it was worse! Dust on walls, ceiling, and curtains. No towels in the place. Hair in the shower drain! Stains in the sheets, everything was just dirty. It was in need of a deep clean. We got in very late and left about 8am. We weren't there long but I let the check out staff know about the lack of cleanliness of the room. Highly disappointed. Will never stay again

I liked the fact that it was a suite. The bed was comfortable and clean. Beyond that there was a fruit fly infestation, large pieces of glass missing from an internal window pane, you could see through the bottom corner of the exterior door, the interior molding and trim was falling off and covered in peeling paint, and the place smelled so bad my husband preferred taking a rest in our vehicle. The bathroom fan didn't work. It made a horrible noise when the motor tried to start. The shower/bathtub didn't drain properly, and the floor of the tub was sunken so bad you felt like you standing on uneven ground. One of the bedside lamp shades was broken. The outlets in the kitchen were covered in an unknown substance. We spent one night and checked out early.

This property is worn out, and poorly maintained. More lights were burned out than working. Heating system was loud. Part of lock for the door was broken and sitting next to the door, so all could see it. I would NOT recommend this place for security reasons. Plenty of other motels close. Cheap, but still not worth the price.

The room pricing was the only saving grace of this disgusting and poorly maintained hotel. No decaffeinated coffee and nohot water in the shower. Flooring was badly scuffed, and the paint on the walls was peeling in many places. The room thermostat was ineffective and kept going off dropping the temperature below the level of comfort. The front desk person couldn't find our reservation, even after I explained I had made it through Trivago. The door is rotted at both edges of the bottom and dirty, as well. This property needs to be re-evaluated and the Hawthorn Suites name replaced with the word, "DUMP!"

Couches were tore and first night they gave someone random a key to my room at 12am in the morning who came in my room while we were sleeping waking me up.stayed another night because i couldn't fine immediately new accommodations but checked out the next day and was supposed to stay a week . Add the room had multiple torn up items choice mirrors

The hotel was okay. The deposit on Expedia was showing for 100 dollar. Once I arrived The staff stated since it the hotel I picked was upstairs downstair the deposit was 200 dollars. Instead them allowing me to go added it to my bank card so they can hold until I complete my stay. They decided charged me the 200 via cash which I was already skeptical on. The main problem was once I was leaving to check out, I made sure everything was cleaned up property. The staff would not want to return the 200 cash deposit due to the wash rag and the sheet from the bed having little icing on it. It never my attention for icing to be on the sheet but it happens sometime but on wash rag you would clean up with it beyond crazy. Charging 200 for both items you need to clean after someone use is a bit much. The staff was very rude when I called the 200 deposit and wouldn’t allow me to speak to the manager. I’m beyond upset and I hope someone contact me about this. I’m truly disappointed in this hotel. I wish business, manager and staff do better on hospitality and customer skills.

1st floor rooms would be ideal for those with limited mobility or needing wheelchair friendly bathroom. Reviews seem broken. Stayed April 9 and it was great. Worth it at twice the price and the breakfast was good. With good variety. Grounds were really nice and taken care of Gave 3/5 on staff as they didn't seem to understand the need for bedding on the flip out sofa

Older property with a maze of various buildings, hidden walkways, and outdoor stairs to the rooms. Only 2nd floor units were available and the wooden stairs where difficult at night with baggage. There was a large bag of garbage outside at the base of my stairs for the first 2 days. Room was no smoking but had a stale smoke smell. Good linens and towels and a comfortable bed. Shower worked well. Great variety of nearby restaurants and shopping. When I left a plastic cup had been placed behind one of my tires but I removed it before backing out. If I return to Dayton I probably won’t return to this hotel although it sufficed

The only thing convenient about this property is that it is right off I-75. The property is in dire need of upgrades. The furniture is old and dirty along with walls, tubs and sinks. Has a bad smell of mixture between smoke, pets and mold. Save your money look somewhere else.

It was interesting. Not enough parking, checked in and had to park 2 buildings away from the building we were in. It was sketchy, light switch covers busted, loose outlets, random mismatched bowls and a lot with a lid that was too big. Bed was uncomfortable, couch was a pullout without the mattress so it sagged bad. For the price and the amount of time we spent in the room, jsut shower and leave it worked but will choose something different next time. Rundown

This place needs some major renovations and better lighting outside. The room was dirty and the environment seemed very sketchy. I ended up leaving and requesting my money back. They did honor that and refunded me my money as soon as I took pictures and showed them the condition of the room.

I did not stay, I paid, got to my room, saw how dirty it was, torn curtains, stained curtains, dark, police all over the parking lot, and went in to ask for a refund. They gave me a refund code, here it is 18 days later, still no credit. I am shocked that Expedia still has this hotel listed as an option.

Check in and out staff was friendly. The set up was a motel set up not hotel. The room was in an apartment like complex. The complexes were not well kept. The property was very "shady" and dirty. Once in the room it was worse! Dust on walls, ceiling, and curtains. No towels in the place. Hair in the shower drain! Stains in the sheets, everything was just dirty. It was in need of a deep clean. We got in very late and left about 8am. We weren't there long but I let the check out staff know about the lack of cleanliness of the room. Highly disappointed. Will never stay again

The room was clean. Very run down. Used. Tv missing in living room. Toilet coming off of floor. Outside stairs very old. No indoor pool. Outdoor pool was green and closed. Breakfast was so-so. Not worth what I was charged. Another person said their room was really nice. So we drew the short stick apparently. Manager said they are slowly remodeling it.

The whole reason for our choice of this hotel was the breakfast option. Unfortunately the app said there was a hot breakfast available but the revelation was they did not. The booking said breakfast, but failed to mention 2 day old bananas and oranges with oatmeal packets - no milk, water, or microwave. Besides no breakfast, the room would’ve been ok if it weren’t for the ceiling leaking water in the shower of our room from above, or the mystery stain on the carpet. Or other potential water leaks from above. Not to mention the curtain chewed to bits. We survived. Please check rooms b4 signing in.

The room was nice but the “breakfast” was a corner store delight Iv had better breakfast in the justice center “Hamilton county jail” also maybe specify on the booking sight that the pool is outdoors no one wants to deal with a mad 6 year old other then breakfast and amenities I like the rooms but absolutely missed on everything else honey buns for breakfast try again

Housekeeper asleep on job: coffee maker broken, shower drain sluggish, room needed vacuuming, extra blanket had what looked like dog food stuck to it, dried liquid of some sort in bureau drawer, empty juice box next to nightstand and Coke bottle in bathroom waste basket. Room generally was down-at-heel: frayed carpet, cracked door frame and tile, one closet door wouldn't close and the other came off its track, the winter wind fairly roared through the unweatherstripped balcony door.

Hubs & I travel all over the US, from May to Nov., so we know to adjust expectations per price point. This one met our expectations in some areas, but fell dismally short in others. Pros- Quick check-in Friendly & Helpful Front Desk Clear directions to our suite Well lit paths & patios. Large building & suite numbers Well-kept grassy areas, pet clean-up stations Pool upkeep, outdoor chairs and picnic tables Breakfast was delicious with a good variety and fresh fruit. No Bugs- anywhere Quiet, peaceful neighbors Reasonably comfy beds, pillows. A '15 min til check- out" call Check out went smooth, we received our deposit back. Cons- Overall impression of the room- dated, shabby, visibly dirty surfaces. Ripped/ stained side chair Odor that identified itself somewhere btw moldy food & mildew Having to switch out the room keys on day 2 Bathtub/Shower looked atrocious due to peeling tile. Floors & baseboards need replaced, Cabinets could use a scrubbing, new fixtures and a finishes. The stove was usable, but didn't scream modern nor particularly safe. There was a full pizza forgotten in the oven from Lord knows when, but the stench led us to believe at least 2 weeks. The fridge stayed cold, but needed a good scrub down. The room was much larger than I expected and the bathroom was probably the largest hotel bathroom I've ever been in. My only complaint was there were no cups in the room either with the coffee maker or in the bathroom, but we also grabbed a bottled water from the car and used that instead. (And we didn't ask the front desk for it)

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Staff was rude, rooms totally disgusting! The resort has NOT been remodelled since the 1980's. Pool was not working. My room had NO plates, NO bowls, NO, silverware, NO pots or pans. Mirrors were not wiped. The upstairs toilet had poop in the toilet. We share the room with a couple of bees. There are cigarette butt all over the property - like it never gets cleaned up. Beer cans all over the parking lot, we saw "needles" in the grass, vapes outside people's door. We felt very unsafe and everything was so gross and dirty. I wished I could leave but since I prepaid I could not. This is the grosses placed I have ever been.

Left for the day and came back to my bed not changed nor fresh towels were brought. I had to go and get sheets for my bed and towels for my room. Then was questioned, "why I didn't call earlier that morning to report it?" "Well, mama, I have been here since this morning and just got back."

I picked for location. First room was not acceptable sofa was broken Excellent staff gave me another room The sofa was good. However the light was burned out in the bathroom entrance, the toilet seat was loose and you had to be careful when you used the toilet. Outlets were old and I only found one that would hold a charger. The curtains were half off the hooks One pillow had no case. I was exhausted from a long drive and accepted the stay The staff were nice and as I felt the room was clean and stayed. A huge black mark in my book for this property
