The staff were excellent, was able to accommodate my family, and we are very pleased with the outcome, was able to get rooms side by side, so we could stay close, while visiting even more family members, the pool was great clean, friendly neighbors, no complaints, we’ll be returning again in a few weeks, what am incredible week it has been, thank to everyone that works there being so friendly,

Spare yourself and stay somewhere else. The motel is run down and grungy. There was POOP at the bottom of the pool. Tv didnt work. The bedding and towels had rogue hairs on them. The entire place felt grungy and dirty. The person next door was clearly living there and gave major creep vibes. Smoking rooms are right next to non smoking and the smell permeates through the walls which set off our allergies. Coffee maker didn’t work, refrigerator was hot. Toilet didn’t flush. It was awful.

The pool was closed but it was ok

Place is in desperate need of upkeeping. Shower head broken, slow drain, floor all cracked up around toilet with mold exposed, the whole toilet wasn’t even attached properly as it probably needs a new wax seal. There were dead bugs on floor in bathroom which proved it wasn’t cleaned well. Carpeting and sofa was gross. Bed was ok but that’s about it. Pool area needs repairs and updating. Signs are worn out. Says only 4 people in pool but there were many kids in there and no one watch watching them. The whole place is in need of repairs from the outside to the inside. Windows were filthy. Their mini van sits outside the hotel with 4 flat tires. Real welcoming site as you drive in. The continental breakfast wasn’t much. We tried to get a cup of coffee but the coffee creamers must have been expired as it curdled. There was no one around to even mention anything. There was no one there when we checked out at 6:45 am so we just left keys in the room. We wanted to discuss these issues with the young man that checked us in as the online photos and descriptions are deceiving.

Electric box for outside sign looks bad. Grass unkempt. Stepped inside lobby was roasting with no air on at 5;pm chk in . Stepped into lobby and plexiglass at chk in desk dirty. Bugs on floor in lobby behind chairs (dead). It’s evident they do not clean lobby. In room 116 . Dead fly on back of curtain, toilet runs , must lift tank lid to stop , slight blood swipe on bathroom door, ( I wiped off) . Space between sink and marble shelves filthy. Tub old and discolored. Pool has a actual dirt ring at water line . Year round people smoked marijuana when I unpacked my car . Base board near sink and around toilet area needs painted . Grass near pool should be cut . Only 4 people in pool allowed at a time

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly. There really was no breakfast to speak of and the pool was in disrepair but we were just there to sleep.

Pool was dirty on the bottom . The bathroom needs updating, the tub did Not drain and you’re standing in inches of water ! Gross ! The staff was nice . It seems like people live there not what I was expecting. The outside landscape is all overgrown with weeds, parking area where we parked littered with alcohol bottles and cups . I will NEVER stay there again ! Definitely not worth $200 a nite .

Quick check in clean and convenient the pool was nice

The hotel from picture looks updated and clean, not at all clean. Landscaping is horrible, not well maintained. Room dirty walls and bugs. I had a bug in my bed, and had to strip bed to make sure there were no others. Walls in shower were black from dirt and not cleaned in months. I would not go back to this location ever.

The bathroom fan and fridge were extremely loud, the hot water knob was broken, the shower head was sticking out of the wall, something in the shower was broken, not sure what it was but it was pointy. The shower had dirt on the walls, the towels had hair all over them. By the first bed was a buch of debris from the wall.

Room reeked of tobacco, and had cockroach's Would never recommend

Room was clearly not cleaned well. There was hair in the sink and stains all over the door and sink area. Pretty nasty.

Property looked nothing like the pictures on expedia, looked abandoned when we pulled up, dirty, mold in room, just disgusting. Did not end up staying there.

Bare minimum for a place to stay. Dirty, moldy, and smelly. Cheapest place we could find near the beach. The fridge was cold and there was a Keurig. Would NOT recommend room 111. Overall not bad

First I picked the pay at hotel option they called me around 10:00 am demanding it to be paid or my room reservation would be cancelled so I paid it. It was dirty the room wasn’t cleaned it smelled horribly I wasn’t even in there 10 minutes. They had bed bugs and they didn’t even refund. My room was 134.

Clean room

King bed was comfortable. Room had a smell and very humid despite AC. Breakfast provided was subpar. All food was packaged and in very limited supply. Tasted stale. Pedestal sink had no counter top for toiletries. Not able to access internet.

While the people were very nice and helpful, the place is very run down. Our bathroom was our main situation, the toilet barely flushed, even after three and four flushes. We even adjusted the flapper, but to no avail. The shower didn’t drain so I was standing in above ankle deep water. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked but was very loud.

It was a fine experience for the price. We were in town for a party so 6 of us rented two separate rooms to sleep in for one night. In our room the TV did not work, there was mismatched chairs and one had white stains on it. The bathroom was clean but everything was stained (like grout and toilet bowl). One of the hangers in the closet had a piece of chewed gum on it. The walls are not the same color as they are in the photos, and could use a new paint job. My friends stayed in a different room and said the water coming out of their shower was not clear. The towels and linens seemed clean, and the mini fridge was convenient. Overall, a fine place to sleep for a few hours, definitely not to stay in for more than a night or two.

The room was clean and well prepared from a housekeeping standard, so we found it acceptable to stay for the two nights that we booked. The property is dated and some areas in a state of disrepair. The accomodations that we had older furnishings in fair condition. There was two lamps, on had a bulb out. There was three wall mounted light fixtures, one didn't work and were powered by a lamp cord plugged into a receptacle. The bathroom had a loose toilet and a loose toilet seat but was in working order. There was a wall hung sink with a mirror over it. The bathtub was older and was reglazed, but poorly done. There were grab bars installed that were loose and also not professionally installed. The shower head was mounted to a vertical rod mount to allow for height adjustment but was also loose from the wall plus the head would no stay in position. The ceramic wall tiles were also poorly installed and was missing grout in some areas. The office was part of a larger space that includes a lounge area and a few tables for the free breakfast. We chose not to use this since it wasn't very inviting plus there were better options nearby. We also didn't visit the outdoor pool for the same reason. This is the first time that I used Expedia. The price we paid was as advertised but had the description of the facility been better described I'm sure we would have looked elsewhere. Overall, clean but disappointed in the hotel accommodations and even more disappointed in Expedia.

No internet access. Its very bad, never got ours to work

I'd say this is a bit of a diamond in the rough. The room was clean and the bed was great. We only needed a place to sleep and spend 4 days at the beach. There is a lot of work to be done and most importantly is the rusty well water that comes out of the shower. Our room's shower was so bad they moved us to a room that was a bit better. The pool was also a victim of the well water and needed a good scrubbing of the walls. The place needs a good paint job and some upgrades although the ac units appear to be brand new.The free breakfast was nice also. Also the back of the motel is an absolutely beautiful wild meadow. It really has great potential. An outdoor shower would have been great and a place to rinse off beach stuff. Also a little laundry would be helpful. But it was very basic. But for the price in the midst of the season and only a few minutes to the beach it was perfect for us. We are campers and this was like indoor camping. If you are looking for the Ritz this isn't for you. But it was clean and the managers were friendly and accommodating.

Outdated, lights didn't all work, smoke detector was sitting on the dresser, tv didnt work, and lock on door broken.

We could not take a shower. There was no water pressure at all coming out of the shower. I told the guy when checking out and he said sorry about that day. Never offered any type of compensation. Do not drag in room 130 if you want to take a shower.

When I arrived to check in at 5pm, I showed the manager my reservation that i made weeks ago. He said that i did not make a reservation. After arguing with him for about 45 minutes , he came up with a handicapped room. The room had a bad odor and the rug was damp. The refrigerator was off. I had to get down on my knees to try to figure out how to turn it on.(No help from staff) The room had a walk in shower with a shower chair with no bars to hold onto. It was slippery. To make things worse no hot water came out in the morning when my wife tried to take a shower.The room seemed clean. The bed was comfotable. The air conditioner worked . It was quiet.The breakfast was poor. Pre-wrapped muffins and coffee. It was also expensive compared to better motels I have stayed at in the past.

Room was clean, air condition worked fine, Paul was helpful to replace the room coffee maker with a new one as the one there was missing a carafe. Cleaning staff was happy and helpful. Albert was helpful for my last breakfast. The owner should place scenic posters to cover the plain plywood picture windows at the front facade to give the place charm and a better first appearance.

Upon arrival I was able to check in, but the attendant behind the desk was on speakerphone with a complaining customer asking for a refund. The employee kept saying that there was nothing he could do and their policy was “no refund.” There was a lot of arguing and I was processed with no greeting and no ability to ask for information since he was occupied on the phone through my entire check in. Also, the area where we parked was marked with long, weedy grass, junk and old furniture and a mattress lying around and people sitting in front of rooms…with police present…arguing. Three police vehicles and officers were present and dealing with an incident that looked as if someone was refusing eviction, or was dealing in something illegal (only can speculate based on attire of women and attitude). My husband approached one officer and was told the place was “sketchy but not unsafe.” We stayed one night and the room was old and had some problems, including loud squealing shower, old ripped bedding and uncomfortable beds. The floor was faux wood and left our feet dirty. The security bar on our door was broken/non-functional. Needless to say will never be going back unless we hear the place has been taken over by new management and improved or torn down and rebuilt! The maid was very nice to us when we had a question. Pool seemed in good shape but we didn’t use it. Everything is old and needing updating. Stayed in 2021 and it was ok/not this bad back then.

I normally don’t write reviews but this one I have to I want to start saying the service is terrible the guy at front desk gives me a key saying your room is ready and you are all set enjoy your stay so I said thank you and went in my room and there you go the bed wasn’t made properly, towels was all over the floor, even Beth room was dirty, toilet took for ever to flush, so I’m like what the hell and after few min one of the cleaning lady came in the room and said this room is not ready yet so she called the front desk guy he came in and said sorry room not ready I have to wait in lobby till room gets ready I got so mad that I’m ready to cancel my room but since I have my wife and 2 kids I waited in lobby. My Check in time was for 2:00 pm I get the room at 2:45 imagine we waited 45 minutes for our room to get ready so so so bad service. I would never go at the place ever again.

They charge your card first thing in the morning of the day of arrival, i walked into the lobby where the manager was being very rude to a guest who had a problem with their property. Literally put a crappy ackward situation. The manager that works here is very rude to their guests and will not be staying here ever again it doesnt look anything like the pictures and its barely taken care of one of the worse experences i have had at a hotel

The staff was amazing, we had a problem with our room and they took care of it very quickly. They checked to make sure our stay was going well. Very happy would stay here again.

All I can say is you get what you pay for! Four rooms in our group and they put us on the four ends of the motel. Couldn’t get further apart and we all requested in our reservations to be close to each other. Good news, the floors are new. Unfortunately the bathroom and beds aren’t! Checked out early after one night, we were told we were good to go and no more charges. Guess what, they charged us for the second night and STILL trying to get a refund after five calls.

The staff were so kind and friendly and attentive. I stayed there for 4 nights for barefoot country music fest. They offered to clean daily, and was the most comfortable bed in any hotel I have stayed. Thank you again!

Convenient from Wildwood and Ocean City reasonable price friendly staff quiet and scenic with woods and nature

Close to Ocean city!

Quiet and out of the way. You could get to any shore destination from there easily

It was kind of ironic that it was named Oceanside Lodge but was nowhere near the ocean by several miles

The property is older but everything is is fine shape and very clean. You have access to all south jersey shore points. Your less than five minutes to somers point and ocean city. Around twenty five minutes to wildwood. The prices are very reasonably compared to other places.

The establishment needs some updates no hooks for clothes in the bathroom the pillows very thin no support for head and neck lightbulbs needed replacement very thin on breakfast milk was sour not enough products for the number of guests With limited resources the staff was great with what they had to work with

it was fine for a last minute stay. pool was great and proprietors were extremely nice. but our tv didn't work and they couldn't fix it. this was a huge inconvenience. we were also missing a comforter on one of the double beds. the "breakfast" was very limited.

It was a very clean place and i felt safe there. Not far from the ocean and also hiking. Free coffee and bagels daily. Nice i would vusit again and the price was nice.

I booked this motel because I wanted an affordable stay ($165) for one night. I should have tried harder. I didn't shower because the tub looked dirty and I forgot my flip-flops. The toilet didn't flush properly and appeared also to be not cleaned. I realize this lodge is old and maybe in a transformation period so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because the place looked tired with a few things updated. It appears that they replaced the floor and the mattresses were very comfortable. The AC worked fine but left a little humidity in the air. The free breakfast had almost no food, but burnt coffee, one muffin, and some Cheerios. We ended up going up the street for breakfast. Check-out was very easy.

Excellent room and staff. Breakfast was great. Only downside was that the shower drain didn't really drain, but I told management about it and they said they'd fix it.

The hotel most likely saw better days several decades ago. The room itself was ok. The bathtub had rust stains by the drain. The water smelled like metal. The continental breakfast consisted of cheerios, raisin bran, and oatmeal. The milk was served out of a gallon jug. At home, that's fine but not at a public place. There was no other drinks besides some coffee and several tea bags. Not a great place if you have children. The service at the front desk was not hospital. I was barely acknowledged upon entering and checking out. In fact, i was standing two feet away and the front desk person did not even look up for at least a minute. The price reflected the value.
