Upon arrival, one elevator was out of order, and there were only two, side by side. 2 night both elevators were out of order. Upon arriving, there was no communication about the elevator issue, only signs on the elevator door. Front desk was good at communicating, but it had to be initiated by me. Also, the room’s arrangement of bathroom and coffee maker and microwave was difficult!

A few things went wrong with our stay. First, the website says to call if you plan to check in late. The phone number listed on the website, on Expedia’s website and on Google all room you to a line that rang once and then had a message saying they could not be reached. I tried reaching the hotel through Expedia’s messaging service and never got a response. I tried reaching them through IHG’s contact and they just gave me the same phone number. When we arrived, there was an elevator that was out of service and the whole place felt dingy. We let our kids swim in the outdoor pool the next day when a manager came over and said the state inspector tested the water and the kids needed to get out right away because the pool didn’t pass. It was a terrible experience to say the least.

Have stayed here many times, staff always friendly and with 1 exception rooms always clean. Last trip 1 elevator out of service(again!) and outdoor swimming pool dirty and not maintained. No A/C in hallways, although room was fine.Great location for our trips to area, but considering other hotels in area as they do not seem to be maintaining 3 star status.

We stay here when visiting family in the area. We always get a very clean room and consistently experience great customer service from all the staff! Nice hot breakfast and 24 hr coffee a plus. The fitness center has Excellent A/C, took advantage of that this trip since it was way too hot to go walking outside. They have a pool that we did not use, but all the families using it seemed to be enjoying it.

The staffing was kind and helpful. The pool was nice and had towels on hand. There’s also a park behind the hotel has basketball courts walking trails swings for the kids. The free breakfast was really good and convenient. There pet fee was cheap.

The stay was ok accept for the fact that my wife stepped on a broken piece of glass in the rug in the room and cut her foot pretty good. Fortunately she is an EMT and was able to take care of her self. When I mentioned it to the desk clerk during check out, he seemed to not know how to react. I will say that during check in our desk clerk was extremely friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. She should’ve commended.

The first room we got given had a broken toilet and leaking refrigerator. We were given a new room and it was no problem. Our room was so humid that there was mold growing on my vitamins that were sitting out offer 3 days. And lastly, we had to find a whole new hotel for the last day of our trip because there was a bedbug on our bed. Very disappointed. We pulled the whole mattress apart after we found it and saw that there was bed bug killer sprinkled behind the bed. So I’m sure this was a known problem. We Had to spend over $50 and MANY hours at the laundromat laundering everything when we left. Hopefully nothing came home with us. It put a damper on our whole trip.

The suite was spacious but could use an upgrade. There was visible mold behind the TV and in the ceiling, and the ceiling lights over the vanity sink were covered in mold and leaked. The front desk staff said maintenance would check it out, but we were not advised if they did and we didn’t see any signs of repair. Overall, the suite suited its main purpose of a place to rest.

Our room was outdated. It had a cracked electrical outlet and plaster on the walls. The elevator didn’t really work. It makes noises and doesn’t come when you call it. I took the stairs to and from the 4th floor. I’ve been to HIE before and this was the worst one.

We stayed here the weekend of July 18 -20, 2025. This is the first time we have stayed at a hotel where everything was perfect. We didn’t have to call housekeeping to fix or adjust anything. When we did call housekeeping for extra towels, we received them in 5 minutes. The free breakfast self serve breakfast was very tasty and the serving area was kept very clean by the friendly hotel staff. We were given a list of nearby restaurants. We chose the first one on the list and it was an excellent choice. The only complaint we had was that we wish we had stayed longer.

When we did call housekeeping for extra towels, we received them in 5 minutes. Room and property quite old. AC not working well in room. Bed was very smelly, towels hair on them, door to room (414) appeared to have large marks in door jam, parts of door chipped away as if someone tried to break in. Upon seeing called front desk and she was very strong that she would not refund so we could go elsewhere, even under the circumstances. Felt very unsafe.

It was a last minute booking, the gentleman in the front desk was so caring, friendly, polite and understanding. It was welcoming ,smelled good and room was very clean . Staff is very friendly and polite breakfast was great. Definitely recommend

Everything was great until the elevators broke down on our last morning and we were on the 4th floor! However, the manager came to the rescue by having a young man help us carry our luggage (We’d been there for multiple days waiting to get into our townhouse, so we had A LOT of stuff.) She even comped the last night of our stay to make up for the inconvenience. The staff here is top-notch.

Desk service in the evening was awesome! Girl was very nice & was definitely on top of things!! Also we appreciated that the pool was open til 9pm so we could swim after our long day out!!

We had a good and comfortable one night stay. The room was clean and equipped with microwave/ refrigerator. Coffee was available in the lobby all the time. The breakfast provided was also amazing and delicious.

The check-in area was small and bland. Hallway to the rooms needs updating. Some doors has rust on them, breakfast wad nothing to beag about...dried out oatmeal, no eggs, greasy looking food and very watered down juices with no flavor. Bath tub stopper was broken and hadvto hold the door in to lock it.

Clean and new looking rooms, comfy beds, expansive and delicious breakfast and 24 hour coffee/tea in the lobby made this a very enjoyable 2 night stay.

We stay here when visiting family in the area. We always get a very clean room and consistently experience great customer service from all the staff! Nice hot breakfast and 24 hr coffee a plus. The fitness center has Excellent A/C, took advantage of that this trip since it was way too hot to go walking outside. They have a pool that we did not use, but all the families using it seemed to be enjoying it.

I always enjoyed my stay here. I usually enjoyed breakfast but this morning the turkey patty, potatoes and bacons were cold... they should have been very warm to stay the least ( I spoke to young lady at the kitchen to checked on that).. regardless of that.. this is my go to place to spend the night when I'm in NJ.

The elevator broke after we were given a 4th floor room and was not fixed during our stay. I am elderly and needed to carry all luggage down 4 flights of stairs. Hotel said they could not comp me because I booked through Expedia. Additionally, the complimentary breakfast was not well stocked and did not have any milk for tea and cereal,

The gentleman at the front desk was nice but that’s about where the positive comments stop. He first room was like a closet with two beds stuffed in it. It smelled like a musty basement someone smokes in. We asked for a new room - they only had one to give us. It also smelled awful but better. We were in desperate need of some sleep - so we stayed and got up at 5:30 the next morning to get out of there. We’ve stayed at other holiday inns in the past so we’re expecting a decent hotel. What a let down
