Hampton Inn & Suites Reno

Room was OK; typical Hamptin which is nice. The pool was not clean.

I booked the hotel because my daughter wants to swim in the pool and hot tub beside pool. But the pool and tub was under construction without letting us when I was booking the hotel.

The room was already paid for, yet they charged my daughter for the room, so we paid double. Pool and Hot Tub were out of service.

Over all a wonderful place to stay. We were very disappointed that they no longer have a hot tub as advertised. They need to update their online description. It is annoying that the only ice machine is on the first floor.

The Jacuzzi and the pool was closed but I was told I have $20 taking off my rate. Besides that it was great! Ryan, the attendant upfront was excellent!!!; and very professional very kind. I felt bad for her because I overheard some of the customers being rude to her, but she handled it professionally, and very humble, she was a great assistant to me and carried herself well .

The hot tub was covered with sand and caution tape. This is one reason I booked here was the indoor pool and hot tub. If they are not going to offer this take it down on the site. Bathroom had mold. You can hear everything upstairs and in hallway and neighbors. I did not sleep at all. My upstairs neighbors were walking back and forth or cleaning the room from 10 pm until 2 Am and started at 630 banging on the door like the police, then again constantly banging walking or doing whatever they were doing 630-10 am. I couldn’t take anymore and left. I complained in the AM - but because I didn’t complain all night I did not receive any type of compensation. Will never return.

We4 enjoyed our stay. Really enjoyed the peloton in the gym. Breakfast was above average.

Everything about the hotel and area was wonderful, except the hot tub/sauna wasn’t working. After a long day of driving, and an evening with no kids, I really needed to warm up and relax.

Only complaint is that it’s run down. Hot tub and 1 of the 2 elevators were out of service. Entry light in room flickered. Just needs some updating. Otherwise a nice comfortable stay.

It was over all a great stay, carpet seemed old and gross but room was clean. Bed was comfortable but sheets had small stains.

We only stayed one night, and upon going to bed late it was discovered that BOTH comforters on the beds smelled of the worst body odor you could smell, up near the pillows. Absolutely disgusting. Thank goodness the sheets and pillows smelled okay or we would have had to try and get new bedding that late. I've never had this experience before. We threw them off of the bed and slept without blankets. I understand that the top bedding isn't changed daily as the sheets are, but I don't know how this would have been missed when changing the sheets. I would advise you check room 202 if you haven't changed them yet. Very sad to have this ruin what was an otherwise nice hotel.

Bathroom too dirty and old

There was a little mix up at check in, but nothing major. The room was decent but there were sticky spots on the carpet and some hair in the shower. Breakfast was great. Staff were all friendly.

People ok but towels and bedding worn out. Curtains filthy! Toilet dirty! The noise in the room above terrible. Sounded like they were doing gymnastics. Yappy dog barking loud!

First of all, the location. It was in a quiet neighborhood. The staff were very pleasant and checking in was very easy. Breakfast was very good with a very pleasant and helpful staff.

The carpetin our room was soooo dirty. It felt sticky ans left black all over the bottom of our feet and shoes.

Friendly and clean property.

Overall, a nice place to stay with family. Only problem was the air conditioner didn't work but wasn't needed for the stay.

The AC wasn’t efficient.

Do not stay in Room 104. It's beds are directly next to the kitchen and someone is in there every hour moving stuff around or making noise and you won't be able to sleep. They shouldn't put anyone in that room!!

Couldn't get "free wi fi" to work.

There were no coat hangers in the room, so you’re not able to hang up shirts or coats. The television was impossible to operate, which made it useless. The vanity was in disrepair. Everything else about the state was very good but the items that I mentioned should be fixed ASAP.

Was a nice stay. Room were spacious and the breakfast was delicious.

Need new mattresses!

Room was comfortable and quiet. The breakfast had many nice options.

This was one of the worst experiences we ever had at a hotel. For some reason they decided to make a room that shares a wall with the hotel prep kitchen. If this wasnt bad enough, they put the beds on the same wall. What this means is that every single night of our stay, at 430am we would be woken up with slamming cabinets, metal bowls beings dropped and thrown around, people talking, and non stop banging on the wall till 9am. It was impossible to sleep. And it wasnt just the minor noises you hear from other rooms in a hotel. It was loud and vibrated the entire room. We asked for a room change and was told by the person working the desk that the best they could do is leave a note and suggest we come back at 3pm to see if another room was available. We were on a trip and had plans so we could not just cancel our plans and spend the day at the hotel waiting till 3. I asked if they could contact the manager and have them call me or if could call at 3. They said they would leave a note to have them call me. I was never contacted. When we got back to the hotel the next evening we asked again to switch and was told there was no clean rooms. We asked if a room could get cleaned and was told no. So we had to go back to the same room and once again at 430am was awakened by the kitchen staff repeatedly slamming the wall where our heads were at over and over for the next 4 hours.

1. It was impossibe to navigate the TV channels. There was no channel guide in the room. I was told I could get one at the front desk. Really? I have to go to the front desk? I have an idea, put channel guides in the rooms. 2. The smoke alarm awakened us at 2 AM for no apparent reason. 3. Squeaky bathroom door. 4. Counters beat up.

Room was spacious and clean but night staff guy who checked us in wasn’t very friendly. When we checked out morning staff seemed way better.

I contacted the hotel separately requested a ground room floor. My husband and I are in 70s and we have a dog. They did not honor this and they did not try to help. They said they they’re sold out nothing we can do there was no one in the hotel when we checked in they could easily switch people around.

During a rainstorm, water started leaking from our bathroom ceiling. I checked with Summer and Jane at the front desk, and they immediately moved us to a comparable room on the same floor. Later, as the weather turned snowy, it appeared that we would need to spend an extra night. Again Summer and Jane made sure that we had a reservation. The following morning Rachel helped with our transition, without the need to change rooms. A break in the weather allowed us to leave at our originally planned time, so Rachel made sure that we could check out without being charged for the additional night. Altogether, these hosts made sure that our stay was comfortable, safe, and trouble-free.

A quiet location,nice pool area.The breakfast was good and well stocked. The only thing was when we went to check out the desk person was on a break and I waited for over 20 minutes and know one came back to the desk. So I left the keys and got no receipt for our stay and hoped we didn't get overcharged for our stay.

Excellent staff and pleasant stay

I was road-tripping from Los Angeles to Susanville Ca, I booked a room for my family to stay in mid way so we can rest our eyes and shower ourselves. I booked for Friday because I knew we would be coming in late Friday- early Saturday. Upon arrival, turns out they checked someone else into my room. I waited 45 mins to get accommodated. I do want to note, DESTINY was EXTREMELY HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY I REALLY APPRECIATED HER. Even though it was not her that did it, she found a solution. SO THANK YOU DESTINY!! I would have given it a higher rating but later that day I spoke with RACHEL about extending my stay and she literally yelled at me saying I could not stay another day because our room had been booked and it needed to be cleaned for the next guests arrival. She was rude. I WISH THERE WERE MORE DESTINY’s in the world.

The staff is always accommodating & friendly. The rooms are nice & clean. Complimentary breakfast & coffee, tea are great, most do not offer that. Close to restaurants, shopping, airport & highway! Would recommend to family & friends!

Got to town 2 hours early. Asked for early check in. Was told nothing available until 3:00 pm checkin. Inquired at 2:50 and was told couldn’t get in room until 4:00, an hour after checkin. No credit/compensation given

We were very disappointed that the room we reserved was not available. They had put us in a room for the disabled on the 1st floor. After making a fuss, changes were made. However, the staff member was not very accommodating. At one point I stated that we would go to another hotel. He/or she only responded,” I will help you cancel out at this property.” I really expected the hotel’s rep to respond with something like, “Well let me see what else I can do.” I would not recommend this hotel.

Quickest and easiest check-in. Front desk very friendly, entire hotel very clean! It is about 15 mins from the famous downtown Reno area, limited shopping and dining but we only stayed 1 night so wasn't a big concern

Very comfortable, quiet room. The hotel is located in a medical district. The area is quiet, not much traffic, and feels very safe. I would stay here again.

This property is located away from the noise of the casinos. We were in town for a family function and were looking for a property that was quiet. It is easy to access from Highway 395/580. Breakfast was warm and fresh. Thank you.

It was ok. Location seemed cleaner and safer than downtown Reno. Just overpriced for a very ordinary room, nothing around in walking distance for dining or shopping

The property could use some updating (e.g., fresh paint). The free breakfast buffet was one of the best spreads we’ve seen at a Hampton. Beds were comfortable. Overall, it’s an average Hampton and we would stay again.

Overall our stay was acceptable but not what I would expect from a Hilton hotel. Indications were that the hotel’s management is focused on cost savings verses customer service. As example, the shower water temperature is regulated at warm+ verses the heat that I normally shower with. Room service is by request 24 hours in advance or at least by the night before. We were not made aware of this at check in. Even though it is printed on the door key holder, we did not notice it; thus, the 1st day we were without clean towels. When we left the room that morning, I requested towels from the hotel staff at the front desk and when we returned later in the day, two bath towels and one small bar of soap were provided but no hand towels and the used towels were left piled up on the bathroom floor. Thus, I had to request hand towels and the pickup of the used towels. The blow dryer in the bathroom didn’t get hot enough to dry hair in what I consider a reasonable amount of time. It took my wife “forever”, to get her hair dry after taking her morning shower. The breakfast food is excellent; however, the seating area in the dining area is limited and some of the chairs at the tables are too low for guests to comfortably sit and eat their food. Thus, we saw hotel guess moving chairs around to get ones that were at the right height. Also, the coffee area is out by the front desk which means guests have to leave the dining area to get their morning coffee and use caution because transporting

I liked how clean this hotel and it’s quiet and clean and the breakfast was delicious.
