Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites West Point-Fort Montgomery by IHG

3rd floor was under construction and it looked like there was a water leak...our ceilings on the 2nd floor had some marks on it. It was ok, but I'm guessing its loud during the week

Can somebody check the swimming pool. The swimming suit discolored and skin feel super dry after swim, never happen before.

The property is under construction with one sign posted on the elevator. The construction continued over our weekend stay so relaxing in the daytime was impossible. Also vending and ice machines were limited as the construction located on the 3rd floor blocked this access.

Even though the property was undergoing remodeling, you would not have known it. It was clean, carpets covered with plastic. If you didn't see the occasional workman, you would not know anything was different from normal. I would definitely stay there again!

The property looks much nicer than I remembered, however they are still working. They confine the work to 10 - 6, I believe, with most people out on their own after breakfast which ends at 9:30. However, when they are working it is disturbing

pool claimed to be heated and it was not as nobody swam because of it while we were there. Sauna also was out of order. Our bathroom tub did not want to drain....shower did not work and soap and shampoo dispensers also did not work

Construction ruined our stay. Elevators not working. Leaky air conditioning allowed cold air in.

The room was clean with minor things that should be attended like baseboard around the air conditioner and knicks and dings on the bathroom door. We did not leave the room messy when we went out for the day but came back to a room that had been truly cleaned. The staff earned the tip we left for sure. The food for breakfast was meh, skip it and go left out of the drive to the diner 3 minutes down the road for an excellent and affordable meal at Fort Deli subs - real NY bagel breakfast sandwich!

My room was well designed and clean. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating.

We checked into our rooms and decided to go to the pool. The pool needs cleaning at the bottom, the sauna needs tlc, there needs to be more towels in the pool area, and there were ants in the pool shower. I did not see, but my kids and their Dad saw them. That night, as we were winding down, we noticed ants on the desk in the room. Okay, we think it's just one ant, but come to find out the desk area was infested with ants going down into the floor and the drawers. They were crawling all over our stuff. We immediately called the front desk and started packing up because, new room or not, we weren't staying in that hotel. She came up about 10 minutes later after initially telling us she didn't have any rooms on the phone. We settled into the room above us , and it was decent. My complaint is that this was very inconvenient to our trip, we would like a refund! The entire building needs extermination

We stayed here for an annual shopping trip to Woodbury commons. We carefully looked at the reviews and property before booking and decided per the pictures and reviews it looked nice enough for a 2 day stay. We were wrong. I understand the property is under construction, so no fault there. However, hotel in general very outdated and had this stale, strong, unpleasant smell throughout- cat urine is what it reminded me off. Our door was dripping with this oil substance. Our room- dark, dingy and dirty. Stains on the curtains and carpets. Stray hair in the sink and counters. Microwave had not been cleaned. Light fixtures had pieces broken off so you could not use the on and off switch. Our phone did not even work. While using the in room hairdryer it started to make a strange sound then started shooting flames and caught on fire. My hair was almost burnt to a crisp. The smoke filled the room and it is concerning that the smoke detectors did not even go off? When I told the front desk staff, he laughed, and said “I guess You have a dragon flame throwing hair dryer”. No sense of urgency to replace or care and did not even ask if anyone got hurt. No compensation. I never write reviews and contemplated doing so but this stay was so bad. We will not be back and it’s too bad as it is close to the outlets. We will gladly drive out of our way and pay more next time. I caution anyone to stay here.

The king room was a siuite....the bed was in a separate section (room with one wall opening to the main room) and there was NO ac in the sleeping area. My wife and I had to sleep on the pull out sofa to stay cool. And, the mattress on the King bed was worn beyond recognition. It\'s been many years since I stayed in a HIE... I said "never again" back then, and I should have meant it !!!

A bit tired but far above most local accommodations. It was clean and comfortable and plenty of parking. No complaints.

Everything was great except for level of cleaness in the room and noise from the train.

It was so humid out that the inside of our room was damp. I don’t know how that works but it happened. Beds are like sleeping on a box spring. Front desk was very nice and the breakfast is good if you are on the go

Just what we expected, clean, comfortable. Wish the 1 bedroom suite had doors on the 1 bedroom, but good overall.

Standard room with king bed was comfortable. Room was very dark with poor lighting. Shower did not drain properly so that was annoying. We were only there for one night so did not report to desk because we had to leave early in the morning. Overall, the room was clean and for one night it was fine

The tv in my room was broken. I went to the front desk and they told me that a repairman couldn’t come until the next week. Then I asked if I could just get a different room. The staff member reluctantly agreed but warned me that if the next tv was also broken then no further solutions would be possible. She seemed pretty annoyed that I bothered her.

Love the location. A little out of the way, but it is a nice drive up the mountain. Front desk was fantastic, as well as other staff. Room was clean and the hallway was quiet. Only complaint was the lackluster breakfast.

Very ordinary food and most of all a noisy place with the train behind the hotel every constantly blowing its horn the whole night.

Enjoyed a short stay at this hotel while visiting West Point and Bear Mountain (very short drive from both). Friendly staff, clean rooms, and one of the better free Continental breakfasts we've had at this type of hotel.

Property was neat clean, and the staff was very professional. We were very close to West Point and everything else that we needed to do.

Property was clean and spacious. Loved the pool!The employees were really nice. Breakfast was a little diffcult, we were trying to get the pancake machine to work and asked the workers a couple of times to fix it, kept on breaking down. Other than that a nice night !

There was an excellent continental breakfast and rooms were clean and updated. We loved staying here and will recommend to everyone!
