Lockport Hotel

We were disappointed to arrive and find out that the pool was out of service. This was one of the dividing factors when booking here and it was not mentioned on Expedia

Room itself was decent. Breakfast items lacking. Pool not in service and in a disgusting state. Not even coffee cups available - had to drink coffee/juice out of take out soup bowls!!

Hotel was under renovation when I got there, which I didn't knowvqhen I booked. Changing hotels was not an option, as it was family weekend at my sons school. Hallways were littered with construction debris as was the parking lot. Got some kind of tar paper on my tire, which made it sound like I was getting a flat. Walls were paper thin and I had the pleasure of being within ear shot of work being done even though it was the weekend. Could hear the guys sing and bicker. Heard a couple, who sounded liked they live there hold a conversation in great detail through the walls during the evening. Music blasting till late at night. If construction was to be done while peolple are staying, then it should be in a different part of the hotel then they they place customers. Room itself was fine, bed was comfortable.

Pros: My son and I stayed here for a weekend get away. The refrigerator in our room didn't work, but I will say the gentleman working the front desk was wonderful. He immediately put us in a new room with a working fridge. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the TV had a personalized welcome message. It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room. Cons: -The hotel charges a $150 hold on your payment for incidentals. No where on the booking site we used was this mentioned. -Breakfast was lackluster at best. It offered watered down juices that were undrinkable. The variety of cereal was good, however, the milk was room temperature and tasted sour. The featured "bagel bar" well the two bagels in the case were stale and the toaster was broke. There were a few muffins and a heel or two of bread. Very disappointing. -The pool was closed for maintenence. Would have been nice if it was listed on the booking site.

The property is being renovated so some slack must be given. Outside is a mess, but the rooms are immaculate. Since it's a non-smoking facility, ashtrays or receptacles should be put at each entrance as there are many butts on the ground just outside the doors. The staff is very friendly, and the cleaning crews are as well. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The property was under construction at the main entrance that I was unaware of. The key box on side entrance doors barely worked.

The pool had too much chlorine plus it was oily. The hallways smelled bad and theres hardly any cameras anyone can walk in thru the side doora aince theyre not locked.

When I returned early afternoon to the hotel from visiting family member who just lost her husband. The hallway was dark and the ceiling lights were hanging down out of the ceiling and ceiling tiles were all over the floor. Not only was it a hazard to walk but having electrical hanging from the ceiling was unacceptable. I was never notified that it would be happening. The website never mentioned renovations. I shouldn’t have been put on a floor that would be renovated. I should have been given the option. I would like a refund. I couldn’t even find another hotel with availability to change. Going home wasn’t an option as I needed to be there to help my sister when she needed me during her loss.

Pool was down. The laundry was broken. Just a pastry breakfast. They allow too many dogs.

The proprty is in the middle of changing to a hilton spark. The lobby is a mess. Debris on the carpets both upon arrival and departure. Our towels had stains the floors although new had scunge on them. But when rubbed didnt come off.. no garbage can in the room. The walls are way too thin. Could hear the guy next door zipping and unzipping his luggage at 5 a.m. my husband also could hear him brushing his teeth and gagging on his toothbrush. I don't understand why we even had to be next to him.Since there is virtually no one else staying there. The staff was extremely friendly however.

The property is being remodeled, we may have been the only guests there. The room was clean but rest of hotel was not. There may have been mold on closet ceiling

The staff was great. Very helpful and nice. Room was clean and the beds comfortable. I was thrilled to see beds that weren’t real high. Many places have the darn high beds and no steps to climb into them. I really liked the comfortable bed that I could sit down on. The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star is the drain in the bathroom had some gross gunk in it. Otherwise everything else was clean. I also appreciate the noon checkout. Overall a very pleasant stay.

The property was at a good location for us and they had new sheets & towels, however it was run down with just a coat of paint and some new items put in the building. The tub was disgusting, there was no plug and all rotted out. The smell was horrendous, the breakfast bar was minimal to say the least.

Torn bedding and curtains. Cigarette damage on coverlet. Dirty bathroom including clumps of hair and spiders.

The hallway and rooms are not clean at all.

They are mid renovation so the property is very dusty and obviously being remodeled. There’s equipment everywhere and my “newly renovated” room was filthy and lacking accommodations.

The hotel was generally pretty good for the price point, with a clean room and a pool. The air conditioner worked but could not be controlled (turned up down or off) at the panel at all. The "business center" consisted of a computer with no front cover and no mouse(!!), so printing a document took me an hour. If they fixed the air conditioner and upgraded the business center the experience would be much improved.

Came with my husband and 3 year old and it was going well at first, then either next store, above us, or across from us had a family of about 8 young kids. As a mom and family, we don't mind the crying, screaming and tolerate a lot but it was between 930 to 11 at night somewhere near us kept slamming doors, opening, shutting, stomping noises for a long time as we were trying hard to get our three year old to sleep with a dark room and silence but the door slamming was not working for us. maybe having a large family, there should be connecting rooms so the door slamming is less? So the entire hallways had screaming kids including ours. Idk if there is a way to get make the sound better in rooms because we could hear TVs next door, conversations next door. We all would fall asleep, wake up to another door slam, calm down our toddler and then go back to sleep to be woken again. Also, we were really hoping for the pool to kind of help our toddler release some energy before going to bed but it was out of order. I wish we knew before he took his late nap getting there.

There were no lockers for holding luggage before check-in or after check-out, but staff reluctantly agreed to keep it for us as a one-time courtesy behind the front desk. Better than most Budget hotels, clean staff is friendly. The negatives are $150 security deposit my room was in the back hard to get hot water

The hotel is still being remodeled. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful, the hotel and room were clean, the beds and pillows were comfortable, bathrooms were clean and functional. There is limited storage space in the rooms, and the hangars and luggage carts have not come in yet. The nice swing-out computer table does not have locking wheels, so bring something to put under the wheels to keep the desk from rolling while you type. There are no electric outlets by the computer desk or the bed, so you might need an extension cord to plug in you computer or to have your phone charging on the bedside table at night.There are very small refrigerators in the rooms and the only microwaves are at the breakfast area. Nearly every morning they ran out of or had limited selection of breakfast items halfway through the breakfast time. Some of the exterior doors stick and still need work. As long as you don't pay too much for the room you will get good basic comfort if you can ignore all those little extra things you would normally expect. I plan to try a Spark by Hilton in another town to see what it is like when remodeling is completed.

The staff were terrible. We came to check in at 4:30 (our check in was 3pm) they had 0 clean rooms, they had given the people in front of us a dirty room as well. So there were about 5 of us waiting to check in for over an hour with unbelievably rude staff. Lauren and the manager were completely terrible and had no clue what they were doing and were SO RUDE. We came from Canada for ONE night and had hoped to use the pool that evening. Since we had to wait to check in we were unable to so waited until the next morning. When we went to go to the pool the MANAGER said “it’s going to be closed for the day, someone used it yesterday and now it has to be cleaned”. Every single time we left our room we had to re program the keys & we got locked out around 11:30 pm in the dark, had to walk to the other side of the building in pjs & then Lauren at the front desk, AGAIN, made us wait 35 mins just to reprogram our keys. All around a horrible experience. We were given nothing for our inconvenience except really poor attitudes. Every staff member we encountered was unprofessional and rude except one very very nice housekeeper. This hotel needs entirely new staff & whoever is running it really needs a new career, this isn’t it. I’ve never in my life experienced this.

It was relatively quiet, I liked where our room was. The staff were friendly and greeted us every time we came in and left. Were super helpful and checked us in and out in a timely fashion.

Arrived early, rooms were not ready, used unclean bathrooms with human faeces on the floor, toilet paper rolls strewn all over floors, waste bins overflowing. Lobby carpets were dirty. Room not even ready until 4pm and no tv reception until 1am. During evening phoned we thought was Reception, answered by Hello what can I help you? Rude and arrogant. Worst Customer Service from all staff. Beds were made haphazardly and hem of the bedspread torn and hanging down to the ground. Toilet Paper were both 1/4 full. Breakfast no juice, because supposedly the Manager was off for 2 days and no one ordered any. For the money we paid for this room, it was absolutely not worth even $60! Extremely dissatisfied with the overall appearance, service and cleanliness. Whomever gave it their 3 star rating should review it further.

The city is nice. The property is very ill maintained. We had to wait at the check in for more than 15 minutes despite having two staff helping one customer with a complaint about billing. When I asked one of the stuff to help us, she said the other computer In the reception is not working and we have to wait for this computer station. The breakfast was really terrible. There is no varieties. It was only cooked egg and pork sausage. The breakfast area is very busy, unclean, and it’s quite understaffed. That receptionist was working in the dining area as well. When I asked her about food, she said they are preparing it in the kitchen. Then she came and said it’s ready. It was only sausage and eggs. When I asked her for cheese, she said we don’t have. She gave me a terrible look. An hour later we decided to check out, she never looked at us or said goodbye or come back.

The ladies at the front desk when we checked in on Wednesday 7/16/25 @ around 4ish PM were friendly and professional. They addressed our issues right away, checked to make sure our issue got resolved and did it all with positive attitudes. The lady at the front desk Sunday 7/20/25 afternoon around 1ish PM was terrible. I asked her for clean towels and she sounded like she had an attitude and told me she would let housekeeping know but no one ever came. We were told upon checking in that housekeeping would come every other day and in the 5 days we were there we never saw them. They claim to have a breakfast buffet on the website but it’s more like a continental breakfast with just muffins, bagels (sometimes), fruit, cereal, oatmeal, coffee, juice and water and it’s first come first serve. They don’t refill anything although breakfast is supposed to run from 6 AM- 10 AM once what’s down there is gone they don’t replenish anything. My husband went down to get our children something at 8 AM 2 days in a row and everything was gone. He checked back 20 mins later and still nothing. Also the Wi-Fi sucks. It didn’t work the entire time we were there. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are nice and comfortable. The check in was simple and straight to the point. Most of the staff are friendly. The area seems to be pretty safe with lots of places to eat and shop. Overall is it a good value for your money yes.

I checked in around 1 a.m. and was told they had run out of room keys, so staff had to physically let me into my room each time I returned — completely unacceptable. After a long trip, I discovered there was no hot water even after running it for 20 minutes. The next morning, I informed a housekeeper who simply said, “Sorry, I just work here. You’ll have to go to the front desk.” When I did, the front desk clerk said she’d have to move me to another room. I packed everything, only to find the new room didn’t exist on the main floor plan. When I returned to ask again, she casually mentioned that it was in a separate wing of the hotel — something she failed to tell me in the first place. To top it off, I was double-charged — once by Hotels.com and again by the hotel at check-in (plus a security deposit). When I brought this to the manager’s attention, she said there was “nothing she could do” because she didn’t see the charge in her computer. Even after I showed her my credit card statement, she still insisted I call Hotels.com instead of taking any responsibility. After staying in hundreds of hotels, I can honestly say this was the most disorganized, dismissive, and frustrating experience I’ve ever had. Save yourself the trouble — stay elsewhere.

This hotel was very quiet and in a great neighborhood with lots of food and shopping nearby. We were pleased with our room and breakfast was nice. Would stay again!

It was a very nice experience. BF was included, which was something we didn’t know at the time of booking. That was a pleasant surprise. They had a 24/7 hot water and coffee availability, which I don’t see in most of the hotels. I loved the stay and I will highly recommend to everyone traveling to Niagara Falls. It is definitely a little far from the falls, but it works out well when planned correctly.

The staff was very good, especially Idalena! She went above & beyond trying to make things right. To no forks for breakfast on Tuesday and NO breakfast at all on Wednesday, plus lots of other little problems. We especially enjoyed the warm pool. It was perfect!

The room was clean and comfy. The staff was friendly. Breakfast goes fast so go down early if you want some.

Toilet handle was loose and jiggly. Flushed fine but sometimes it flushed on its own. Need a few more breakfast options.
