Residence Inn Poughkeepsie

The sofa bed had a previous guests sheets on it. With a pair of childs dirty socks. Some trash under the sofa bed. The main reason we booked this hotel was for the pool and hot tub which was out of order for maintenance. Also having to pay for parking because its not included in room rate is absurd. The wall in the breakfast area over the bread station had dust and cobwebs visibly hanging.

Kyle was great, very friendly and helpful! The bed was hard as a rock, the pull out couch was horrendous. The couch was so deformed even with the bed closed up you could visibly see the cushions slouching. We had to ask for bedding for the pull out couch even though there were 3 of us listed on the reservation. Breakfast was nice with plenty options.

Staff were very kind and helpful. My room and the common areas were very clean. Breakfast has a good amount of variety and was replenished frequently. The 24/7 complimentary tea and coffee service in the lobby was a nice bonus. I also enjoyed the small gym and cold filtered water. Only complaint I had was of the 3 days I spent here, 2 of them had the pool and hot tub completely shut down for cleaning. I was looking forward to it given I stayed during a winter snow storm and had limited options outdoors to enjoy.

Everything was wonderful the only thing that I didn’t like is that I requested a king size bed and I got a queen size other then that it was wonderful

Tough pancakes, scrambled eggs dense and dry. Turkey sausage is not a commonly liked breakfast meat, at least not for it to be the only meat offered. It didn’t taste good. I did like the jalepeno egg muffin thing.
