DO NOT STAY HERE — THIS PLACE IS A DUMP. I have stayed in plenty of hotels, and this is easily one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The condition of this Clarion property in Ronkonkoma is unacceptable. There is visible mold and mildew throughout the room, including on the curtains. The bathroom is so ridiculously small that you can barely turn around in it. A piece of the ceiling is missing, and the shower curtain rod is improperly installed, making it impossible to properly close the shower curtain. The shower has almost no water pressure, and the toilet doesn’t flush properly. A piece of the ceiling is missing in the bathroom The room itself is disgusting and severely run down. The paint is a nasty brown color, the furniture is old, stained and worn out, the pillows are completely flat, and there is almost no usable hanging space. The few coat hangers provided are minimal and rusted. Unacceptable for use unless you want to ruin your clothing! The ironing board had something on it that smelled absolutely foul — like mold and something rancid. The hair dryer was filthy and full of dirt. The curtains were visibly molded and mildewed. The heating unit is another major concern. This is a non-smoking room, yet when the heater was turned on, it smelled like something was burning inside it. The unit appears as though it has never been properly cleaned. I am not going to risk a fire or breathe whatever is coming out of a filthy, burning-smelling heating unit just to stay warm. The
