I had a wonderful stay at the Royal Regency. Everything was great, and I truly had no complaints except that I wished there was a pool. What started as a business trip turned into a memorable getaway as my husband and I celebrated 16 years of marriage. The atmosphere was relaxing and peaceful, and I especially appreciated that the hotel encourages quiet hours in the evenings—it made our stay even more enjoyable. I will definitely be returning in the future!

This is a great property which I alway utilize when in NYC. Great concierge front desk folks. I love the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms. The free parking is great as well. A smaller breakfast at no charge this time around compared to the custom free breakfast they used provide which was the only downgrade. I hope they change the breakfast back to they way it used to be, it was what I really loved about this hotel. Now they charge a free for the custom breakfast which is unfortunate. Other than that, it’s an awesome hotel.

Overall a very nice hotel with the exception of the parking situation. Had an event going on and we, as paying guests had no where to park as the event attendees took all the parking spaces. Waited almost an hour waiting in our car until one finally became available. Just not fair.

Friday night the fire alarm went off many times every hour. There was no alarm clock nor microwave in the room or available. Wedding people were filling the lobby and non respective of people trying to get by. Parking was very difficult. Saturday and Saturday night there was NO hot water. AC unit is very noisy. A response to these issues would be appreciated.

This hotel is right next to the highway. The cars and trucks were loud all night. There were ants on our air conditioner and some kind of whip scorpion on our ceiling. The shower had mold and the wall separating the bed from the bathroom is a sliding partition. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel definitely needs a remodel and deep cleaning.

The area is clean, the front of the property is clean and so is the lobby. However, the room was not properly cleaned. The bathroom had visible signs of the previous guest (hair and stains in the bathroom sink. The bedsheets was not clean. But we didnt realize how unclean it was until the morning. In addition, the entire place had a wierd smell, like a moldy smell. They can make sure sheets are changed after each guest leaves. I am not confident it was done with us.

Found Bed Bugs – Do Not Stay Here We found live bed bugs shortly after checking in. Absolutely disgusting. We alerted the front desk right away and asked for a refund, but management gave us the runaround and never followed up. No accountability, no professionalism. Stay somewhere else.

My second time staying here and it confirmed that I will never stay here again. The room is so dull and I despise a dirty stained up carpet. Needs a good facelift and not too welcoming receptionist. The tub was stained and the curtains were dirty in the bathroom. Everything beefs improving here from front desk to elevators, carpet, TV, and bathroom. Very unsatisfied.

I have stayed at Royal Regency before. We were very surprised with the our stay we had to ask to move to another room because the refrigerator was not working. When we moved to the next room the floor was very dirty and sticky and there was someone else’s hair on the bed. Was not comfortable or happy with our stay.

Lots of stuff going on at this hotel during our stay. Pros: 1) Location was good. 2) Restaurant had above average food. 3) Bed was really comfy. 4) Staff were friendly and helpful. This particularly means the bathroom vent as well. Can hear every word neighbors are saying. 4) The sliding...wall? that divides the bathroom and sleeping space was just out of place. And, no... I'm not talking about the sliding bathroom door. 5) The A/C unit kept shutting off and resetting the temperature every 1-2 hours. Absolutely annoying. 6) The sliding bathroom door didn't lock. 7) The room entry/exit door had a huge gap that you could basically see into the hall. Overall, had the room been more sound proof from the neighbors, it would have been a 3 or 4 star review. Sirens and horns don't bother me, but the noises through the thin walls and bathroom vents surely did. Would not recommend.

My boyfriend I experience a room that smelled like sewer, our shower had to much mold around it, the bed was like sleeping on a slice of toast, the bed looked like someone had already slept in it when we walked in, our sink was clogged the entire time and the carpet in the room was absolutely filthy. So sad we chose this “hotel”! Never again.

I grabbed this self-described boutique hotel for an overnight trip to attend a family funeral. It was affordable, with decent beds and bedding, a good hot breakfast, and very attentive staff. But what looked stylish in online pictures seemed cheesy in person, and there was a stale odor that the best cleaning efforts couldn’t mask. The weirdest thing was the sliding partition “wall” between the bedroom and the bathroom. Someone thinking they were opening a sliding closet door could accidentally expose another person using the bathroom. Really dangerous design!

The hotel is nice and the staff are great. My only dislike about the hotel is that the lighting in the rooms are bad for women to do their makeups. The lighting is terrible. Other than that, everything else is great.

I have been to this property several times as the rates are usually reasonable and the staff cordial. ( seems none of the cleaning staff I have met speak English ) the walls are paper thin and the doors slam hard and loud. avoid rooms on the 100 ( even numbers 100, 102, 104 ) side as the windows are at car driver level and there is no filter curtain. , only a sunblock shade. so there is no privacy during the day or nite if you have the shade up...... anyone walking or driving by can see in

The room and breakfast were fine. I am on a business trip and needed the wifi, but it wouldn't connect and I lost an evening of work that I needed to get done. Jada, the desk clerk, tried to help me. She got me connected, but the wifi dropped out as soon as she left my room. It was very frustrating. The other problem I had was the room faced Tuckahoe Road and the trucks passing by all night kept we awake so I was very tired when I had a very important meeting on Wednesday, September 17th.

The staff are polite helpful and caring. I left my cell phone in a near by resturant. Front desk staff Wayne and Tasha looked up the number of the resturant and called them and asked them to hold my phone till I could pick it up, how kind and concerned they were! There is talks in other reviews about door slamming which is true but I believe maintenance is in the process of adjusting the tension on the door hinges Breakfast is great complements to the chief and to the helpful happy pleasant dinning room staff. The staff are polite helpful and caring. I left my cell phone in a near by resturant. Front desk staff Wayne and Tasha looked up the number of the resturant and called them and asked them to hold my phone till I could pick it up, how kind and concerned they were! There was an old white man with a beard that was very disrespectful and used profanity towards me. I went in the employee area to inquire if I could have my food heated in a microwave. He was very rude but there was an older shorter white lady who was nice and told me that there was a microwave on the second floor. I told the old white guy that he was rude and he used the F---- bomb to me. I returned the insult to him but was shocked by his response.

I wasn't happy with check-in I was there early and I asked to check in and they said it it would have cost me $77 for early check-in but when I was here two weeks ago I came around 1:00 and I could check in no problem and I was early but other people when I was sitting there waiting we're checking in with no problem so I don't get it where do they have VIP status I just I don't understand bad business

My experience at this hotel was far from good. I had an unpleasant situation with the manager, who did not allow me to take food to my room. Beyond the policy itself, what truly bothered me was the way he spoke to me — I found it very disrespectful. I believe it’s unacceptable that, as a paying guest, I cannot take a meal I’ve paid for back to my room. The manager’s attitude does not reflect the level of service one would expect from a hotel like this. For these reasons, I do not recommend this place and I definitely would not stay here again.

.The hotel was in a convenient location for my needs. Staff at the hotel is helpful and courteous. The room was on the mall side for 2 people and the location of the clothes closer - along side one of the beds was a nuisance.

Aroma is a excellent choice for dining out Its conveniently located inside Royal Regency. The food and the costumer service was excellent. The Royal Regency employees were very nice especially the employees who serve breakfast every morning. The breakfast food was delicious the employees made sure the food service areas stayed clean and food was hot. I highly recommend Royal Regency any event. Their reception rooms are absolutely beautiful fit for a queen or princess the service is worth every penny. I will always stay at the Royal Regency when I visit New York the staff at the front desk was very nice and professional. The hotel service employees were nice as well and they made sure we had everything inside our room. Excellent service. Thank you Royal Regency I had a grate stay.

This is a great property which I alway utilize when in NYC. Great concierge front desk folks. I love the cleanliness of the hotel and rooms. The free parking is great as well. A smaller breakfast at no charge this time around compared to the custom free breakfast they used provide which was the only downgrade. I hope they change the breakfast back to they way it used to be, it was what I really loved about this hotel. Now they charge a free for the custom breakfast which is unfortunate. Other than that, it’s an awesome hotel.

This property is very nice looking and the room was very clean, which we appreciated. There were 2 towels in the bathroom and only 1 washcloth (there were 2 of us) which we shared. It was an 'accessible' room, so there were quite a number of grab bars in the bathroom, but it was a tub, not a walk-in shower. Fortunately neither of us had a problem climbing into the tub. There were no hooks on the bathroom door to hang robes or clothing, or even to hang towels. Wet towels had to be hung on the grab bar near the toilet, which caused the toilet paper to become damp. The handheld shower nozzle holder was broken & had to be balanced on the edge of one of the grab bars, & kept falling. The bed had 3 pillows, all of which were pretty flat, so we called the front desk to ask for a couple of extra pillows, & the person who answered told us she would call back, but she never did. There was a wedding reception taking place on the floor in an event room DIRECTLY UNDER OURS, & the music was so loud that we could feel our room actually shaking a bit. When the music finally ended we thought we'd be able to sleep, but the wedding guests were all over the place & hotel staff did nothing to quiet them - they were loud & running around until 4:00 AM, & quite a few even right outside our window! Twice during the night (the 2nd time at 3:30!), someone knocked persistently on our door & they turned out to be wedding guests who were looking for people & had the wrong room. Beware Room 122.
