Manager was either nowhere to be found or smug and rude when we did finally find them to inquire why the TV didn't work. Then they gave us a hard time for not saying something sooner (like when they weren't at the front desk 90% of the time?). They never fixed it or apologized for it being broken. Beyond that, breakfast was meh, heated pool as advertised was NOT heated, gym was not really a gym. The worst part was the wifi never worked no matter how I logged in or what device used. Was slow or didn't log in at all.

The hotel was amazing, clean, the staff was friendly and professional, the pool was good and view was amazing, the Hotel is under construction but you don't even see anything around that can bother you,. I definitely loved my stay at this hotel and of course I would recommend this hotel 100%.

We specifically picked this hotel for the indoor pool which btw was not heated and freezing cold. Rooms were clean, there was some unruly guests with their kids running around without there parents.

I think pool is in wrong location. Its dangerous for guest to have to go thru pool area to get to back patio. Floor gets very wet when there are people swimming. Other than this, I and my friend enjoyed our stay and hope to do it again.

This Comfort Inn is giving the franchise a bad name. Pool was really old and dirty, dead bugs in the hallway lights, poor lighting all around, noisy room near the side exit/entrance door, broken toilet seat, dirty shower, etc.

The property was in a great location as it was within walking distance to dining and public beach areas. The WiFi was slow and we had better download speed with our cellular connection. The 4 star rating was due to mold on the shower grout and the amount of noise through the walls and doors. On the bed you could clearly hear the people in the next room as well as people in the hall.

Check-in was easy and fast. We had to switch rooms after initially seeing ours. The bathroom was dirty and it was a room right next to the pool, so we didn’t want the noise. They switched us to another room that was fine, but no fan in the bathroom, which we prefer. Also, the sink drained very slow, so we had to take out the drain stopper that wasn’t hooked up properly. Breakfast was included, but it was just a continental breakfast - not much to choose from, so we went out. The location was good for what we were in town for and it was on the water. All-in-all, we weren’t impressed with this hotel. I don’t know that we would recommend it to anyone.

The location is beautiful. The hotel is being renovated so it's not in the best shape, but i thought our room was clean, comfortable, and updated. There is a nearby train that woke us unfortunately so it's not sound proof, and we heard the neighbor in their shower. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was really very friendly. The concessions were very reasonably priced. There's several bar and restaurants within walking distance. I think it will be very lovely after renovations are complete.

Everyone is always very nice at this location. WiFi is TERRIBLE, very frustrating considering how many of us now travel/work at same time, please upgrade- I had to finally go to the lobby to get a decent signal.

We stayed here after a trip to cedar point. The positives, room was clean, beds were soft, and check in was easy. It was about 15 min drive from Cedar Point. Breakfast was good but disappointed that they stopped serving at 9, we like to sleep a little longer on vacation. Negatives, bathroom tiles were cracked and tub needed re chalked. The worst was how thin the walls were, next time I would ask for a room further away from ice machine and elevator.

Stayed overnight for cedar point. Room was great and had a view of all the passing boats. Was nice to be close to the water rather than watching cars drive past. Beds where super comfortable and my wife loved the pillows. She wishes she would have looked for a brand on the pillows to buy some for home. Is there a way to find out which pillow brand is used at this particular hotel? Overall the stay was great and good location. Hotel had a great atmosphere around the with the restaurant next door.

The hotel services were great. The property has one big problem. The trains run near by every hour and blow their horns 7 to 10 times. Hard to sleep, if you are a light sleeper. I was on the river side and it was very loud.

The location of the hotel is beautiful. It's right on Lake Huron, near the Lake Erie inlet. It's a very quiet location within walking distance of several bars and restaurants. We had a very relaxing stay.

Property is beautiful and right near cedar point. Our only complaint was the restaurant/bar next to it had very loud live music and we were exhausted after a day at the parks and just wanted to sleep. Next time I would request a room at the other side of the hotel if we stay on a weekend again

Property is beautiful and right near cedar point. Our only complaint was the restaurant/bar next to it had very loud live music and we were exhausted after a day at the parks and just wanted to sleep. Next time I would request a room at the other side of the hotel if we stay on a weekend again

Comfortable and clean hotel in a great area. The hotel is next to the water and from our room could watch the boats go out. Several good restaurants with walking distance and a quaint little ice cream stand. Walk to beach area and walk short boardwalk to view of the lighthouse. Very nice area, quiet except for the trains.

Hotel was clean. Riverview was enjoyable. Bed was very comfortable. Didn’t get to use the pool during our stay personally, but seemed very nice and heated. Only disappointing part was breakfast. It was okay at best. Very artificial, and clearly microwaved products. Cute Laketown. Trains are somewhat noisy at night.

Nice area and had a nice view of the river. Wish there would have been more breakfast options here and the food wasn't cold ...but not hot either. Room clean good hot shower, decent for the price

This hotel is located next to 3 converging railways, trains passed by blowing their horns through the night. Worst sleep ever! The “hot breakfast” consisted of dry eggs, mystery, sausage, and an unreliable waffle iron. If you love trains but hate sleep and breakfast this might be the place for you.

The elevator kept getting stuck, the breakfast was horrible, sausage not cooked, cereal container broken, eggs very watery not much of a selection.

Room was spacious. Breakfast was just OK. Same every day and could have used some variety. Nice view of river from room. Grounds around hotel were nice and walkable. Safe area.

Room was clean but did have a few spiders in the room which when staff was told, they accommodated me with another room at a higher level. Room did feel very damp and felt like it needed a dehumidifier. It even caused my husbands and my phone to have moisture in it which we couldnt charge our phones so had to buy a wireless charger. Breakfast was very fresh and all staff was very nice and view was very pretty in back of the building.

The area seems very safe and comfortable. Beautiful views. However the decking has some dangerous spots where the boards are either broke, uneven or popping up because the nails are popped out so it could tripping hazard at night if not repaired. My room was fine except i couldnt use the freezer part of the fridge because at some point people left cans of pop to freeze and were stuck. The bathroom could use a new chalk job. The chalk around the shower was moldy with dark and pink colored mold. But the water was hot and lasted a long time. Some places ive gone have minimum hot water so i really appreciated that after being at cedar point all day. I would definitely stay here again but would maybe ask to change rooms if i noticed these issues earlier. The staff was very friendly and took my compliants to the maintenance.

Great place to stay. Beach and board walk to run/walk on. Peaceful except for the 2am and 6am trains. Beds are comfortable. Staff is nice. Breakface is super basic and could use more variety. Highly recommend.

Staff was very friendly from checkin to the breakfast staff to check out. Clean room, walls thin could hear doors opening and shuting, kids running around in room above us. Nice pool area. Restaurants down the way to eat at. Breakfast was fantastic from scambled eggs, sausage patties, yogurt, apples & oranges, toast mini blueberry muffins, cereal, waffles coffee, juice, Awesome river walk and walk to the beach or to look out. Alot of benches to watch boats coming in and out the river edge. Would recommend for a relaxing place to stay.
