Fantastic old hotel in downtown Astoria. The rooftop deck did not disappoint!. 360 degree view. I went up at sunset and watched it set over the bridge between Oregon and Washington and then watch as the lights came on all over Astoria. Only downside was one of my room windows had a broken seal so it was "fogged" up and you couldn\'t see out it. It was the lowest and biggest window. No parking structure-only street parking. Lot across the street has specific rules about uses so not good for several days. No open spots when I went. But overall great experience

It was a neat place to stay for the night. It had an awesome view up on the roof top area. The breakfast at the hotel was nice. Since it's located in downtown Astoria easy walking to all your dining and shopping needs. Only negative thing I could say would be the parking as it's street parking not a dedicated lot. Very enjoyable place to stay.

This was a very special place to stay. Old fashioned charm, friendly host, comfortable room. A lovely rooftop gathering area with a great view! Relaxing and delicious morning breakfast included. The only drawback for us was a Sunday farmer’s market which made access to the hotel and parking an issue until 3:00. Only on Sundays though.

The roof-top deck is being renovated, and the wine bar is only open on weekends, so two of the things we really love about the Elliot were not there this trip. But it is a beautiful hotel with a great staff, and an amazing location.

Delightful 100 year old hotel in downtown Astoria. Breakfast was included. There is a fitness center, a pool table, rooftop bar and a weekend wine bar. Our bathroom had heated floors, a jacuzzi tub, and lush terry cloth robes. Great place to stay!

Location is great! Walkable to riverfront, dining, shops. Rooftop terrace has a great view of river and bridge. It’s just tables and chairs up there but you can bring up food or beverages. Overall hotel conditions a bit run down. Carpet in our room was badly stained and worn and needs to be replaced. Lobby staff a bit unprofessional and not customer service oriented at all (a newer staff member who actually was helpful was reprimanded in front of me while trying to check us in). Another counter employee was rather uninterested in being friendly or helpful … more interested in gossiping with a coworker. I’d stay again for the location but that’s the only reason.

Bed was comfortable and location was good. The only downside was the amount of insects stuck in between the old set of windows and the new ones. It was a bit off putting. Other than that, the stay was good.

The hotel is just as charming as it appeared in the pictures, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was spotless. Heated tile floor in the bathroom was a wonderful surprise! Hotel Elliott delivered on everything in a small, cozy room. The location downtown is central to everything, breakfast is better than average, and the coffee was excellent. All in all, it was a great place to stay and I will definitely be back!

Windows don’t have a screen on them so you can’t really leave them open to air out the room or have fresh air come in. With no heat on the room gets pretty warm. Booked a city view but got the parking lot Honestly would stay here again.

The air conditioner had gaps around it so gnats were in room. No shower gel. We reserved a king room and received a queen due to the reservation was lost/cancelled. We could hear people walking up and down stairs at night. The rooftop was great!

Great location beds were comfotable. Stay in upper floors if you can we stayed on the third floor in room 306 and the air conditioner on the roof below at night was really loud, but perhaps in the winter that won’t be an issue.

This was my favorite hotel I've ever stayed in. I don't even know where to start. It's right in the middle of everything. It's a beautiful historic building. The staff were all exceptionally helpful, friendly, informative, and in all opportunities exceeded our hopes. There's a wine bar, a rooftop balcony, a pool table in the basement, and a full breakfast in the morning. Our room was beautiful, the bed was the most comfortable thing I've ever slept on, the bathroom is big with heated floors and a removable shower head that was mounted high enough for a tall person to still be under the water and a jetted tub. The coffee in the room was from a local roaster and there was real creme. The only complaint I had was there wasn't a refrigerator in the room so don't bring home leftovers. Not only will we definitely stay here again, we want to move in and never leave

Youd better be a DEEP sleeper if you stay here. We were awakened every half hour by beeping garbage trucks from 4 am until 7am, when we finally decided to get up. The agent at the desk just told us that was the way it is in a city like Astoria, BUT I lived in NYC and have since visited, and its never been this bad.

Big deal: I slept well; the Elliott rightly brags about their beds, and my room, though facing a main street, was quiet. The location is great, right in the centre of things. There were several really good restaurants within two blocks, and the hotel breakfast was a real breakfast--included biscuits and gravy.

Beware of this hotel. I stayed the night of Saturday 7/12/25. The hotel has no onsite parking. I parked right in front of the hotel entrance, there were no signs regarding parking whatsoever. I checked in and the front desk agent did not tell me they tow cars away in the early Sunday morning for a farmer’s market. I went out Sunday morning to get something from my car and a different front desk agent saw me go to and from my car. Did not bother to take off his headphones to mention that I should move my car. When I went to check out my car was gone. A new front desk agent said “they didn’t tell you?” He gave me the managers business card, Trish Glass. I have called so many times as well as emailed and she will not respond. Wrote to the district manager, Michelle Hannah and no response either. The tow truck driver said the weekend before 3 hotel guests had their cars towed. I am upset about the $220 I had to pay to get my car back but I am also upset that I cannot even speak to someone at the hotel. Even if it is to let them know it would be helpful to put a sign on the desk letting people know not to park on the street out front.

we love the Hotel Elliott but the front desk service awful. First the clerk is hidden behind a computer monitor and did not greet us. We told her we were checking in and she said we couldn't check in til 3:00pm (it was 2:45pm), I asked if we could take care of the paperwork and she said check in was at 3:00pm. We come back and again no greeting etc. The next day we asked about a late check out. She said no check out is at noon and I replied that is why I am asking. She said it was not available even though we have had late check outs before. When checking out no questions about how our stay was etc. So I called the manager the next day and said I wasn't going to write a public review but explained my displeasure. He was replying with the "uh-huh" of someone not listening but appears to be listening. I finally called him on it and he admitted that he was paying attention to other matters. So here we have it: my public review. There are lots of nice hotels to stay at in Astoria. Too bad the Hotel Elliott isn't interested in keeping our business

Last minute trip to stay in Astoria. Wonderful location and the rate was reasonable. My only complaint is that the front desk was not friendly. Morning and evening, neither of the front desk ladies seemed particularly pleased that we were staying (the morning person seemed a little disturbed that we interrupted her breakfast).

What a disappointing hotel. The worst service and staff I’ve experienced in years. Doesn’t respond to emails. Doesn’t clean the room. Doesn’t have working room keys. Doesn’t offer To help when there are issues. And the place Smells old - not to mention the giant pee stain on my carpet - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Fabulous stay at Hotel Elliott. Front desk staff was very kind, outgoing, and helpful. The hot complimentary breakfast and coffee was a nice bonus. Location is amazing and within walking distance to everything. Look forward to staying here again!

Great location, close to the water, food, drinks, food carts and some window shopping. There’s a free public parking lot close to the hotel which is nice but it’s small. The Deedee Thai truck just down the road is AMAZING! Good location for weekend trip but it might be worth it to just drive to seaside or cannon beach

Loved the view from the rooftop in the evening. There's no service, but we took up our own happy hour. Easy, free parking across the street. A bit of street noise, but less than we expected. Walked to dinner and to interesting shops. Felt safe, even at night. Comfortable bed. Large room. Nice!

Had a lovely stay at the Hotel Elliot after seeing a show at the Liberty Theater across the street. Comfortable, well appointed, nice breakfast, good coffee, helpful and friendly staff. Close to shops and restaurants, free public parking on the next block.

It was a neat place to stay for the night. It had an awesome view up on the roof top area. The breakfast at the hotel was nice. Since it's located in downtown Astoria easy walking to all your dining and shopping needs. Only negative thing I could say would be the parking as it's street parking not a dedicated lot. Very enjoyable place to stay.

This was our first time staying at Hotel Elliott, and we loved the convenient location overall. Very walkable, just minutes from all kinds of fun bars, great restaurants, fun shops, and lovely art galleries. Astoria is so charming and this hotel just adds to the charm. Will definitely be back!

For a 100 year old property, this hotel is spotless. The rooms are very quiet and clean. There's a rooftop view. Good breakfast options included in the stay. And it's within walking distance to all the great restaurants, breweries, bars, and shopping. Highly recommend.

Hotel Elliott is 100 years old but didn’t feel like it. Everything about the hotel was updated. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Love having free coffee throughout the day. Breakfast was good and enjoyable. The bed was comfortable and having a ceiling fan was a nice touch. The only negative was the refrigerator. It made a wining high pitched sound that was barely tolerable. The secret weapon is the location. Walking distance to EVERYTHING - pubs, cafes, riverwalk, museums, shops, eateries, and the trolley. My wife and I enjoyed the Hotel Elliott that we will be back.

We had a great one night stay at the Hotel Elliot. It was very comfortable. Our room was small, but had everything we needed. Super convenient to the Liberty Theater for July 3 concert. Enjoyed the simple breakfast provided. The biscuits and gravy were a hit! Great customer service. Thank you!

The hotel is just as charming as it appeared in the pictures, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was spotless. Heated tile floor in the bathroom was a wonderful surprise! Hotel Elliott delivered on everything in a small, cozy room. The location downtown is central to everything, breakfast is better than average, and the coffee was excellent. All in all, it was a great place to stay and I will definitely be back!

It's walking distance to many shops and restaurants. The hotel is very nice, quiet and staff are very helpful. They advertise continental breakfast but serve full breakfasts, omlettes, sausages, hash browns and other options. Dining area is beautifully restored. Rooms are very nice and in new condition.

Nous avons du annuler notre réservation , bien sûr le jour même donc avons perdu 250€ ! Sur le descriptif ils disent qu il y a un parking public gratuit adjacent et pleins de place dans le rue SAUF que le dimanche ce fameux parking est interdit ainsi que la rue et que dans les autres rues le stationnement est limité à 2h ! Bien sûr manager absent . Le personnel connait parfaitement le problème car le marché a lieu TOUS les dimanches ! Quand je réserve un hôtel je vérifie toujours la présence de parking sinon je n aurais jamais réservé la bas .

Everything was great except the maintenance was a little dated in the fixtures of the bathroom and the shower. We were in the peak season, so I assume the rate is as high as it gets, so that’s why I gave it less than 5 across the board. The breakfast could be a bit nicer (again, given the price). The staff were very cool about the bikes we had with us!

This is a fine old hotel in a perfect location with a fabulous roof deck. Having stayed there 12 years earlier, we noticed a little less attention to maintenance this time. However, we will definitely stay there again if we return to Astoria.

The location is as convenient as it gets… the Sunday market is literally right outside the door, however there seems to be an issue with either cleaning or plumbing maintenance. There is a terrible sewage smell near the elevator. Either there is currently a problem causing that smell or it was not properly cleaned after a leak. The smell is very noticeable on both the fourth and fifth floor hallways near the elevator. The smell did not permeate into either of the rooms we were in (we had to switch rooms because our toilet broke), but I still wouldn’t stay there again.

Very convenient location in the middle of downtown. Staff were extremely friendly. The room was very clean. The bar wasn’t open while we were there, but we were able to buy a bottle of wine and go up to the rooftop bar. Enjoyed the stay.
