Holiday Inn Express - Allentown North by IHG

It was a great stay. I was very impressed with how clean everything was in the hotel. The pool and area was very clean and well maintained. Fitness room the same. The dining area for breakfast was also very very clean. Staff were very welcoming as well. I would definitely recommend the hotel to everyone. I am definitely returning. This is my go to hotel when in Allentown. Near by restaurants, fast food and other things to do in Allentown, PA.

Nice stay - nice property - nice breakfast - SLOW elevator -> only 1 for all the floors - painfully slow! Overall nice stay!

The place is cleaned and quiet. Nothing to complsin abour the room. The only thing is they need to adjust the elevator as it's so slow. Check in late available and the front desk person is really nice. She called after I've booked the room. She wants to make sure we will be comfortable and held the dounle queen room for me us.

The pool was very nice. Claims to hsve soaking tub. Its just a regular tub

Everything good with the exception found 2 used wash clothes on shower curtain rod probably not seen by cleaning person? Otherwise everything else ok

The hotel was immaculately clean. My degree is in restaurant and hotel management, I look in the corners! They have posted a strict quiet policy 10 PM - 6 AM. Keurig machines in the rooms and at the buffet, coffee beans ground to your order, coffee freshly brewed. We were delighted with our stay, I complimented the manager.

The room appeared to be clean but noticed a brown stain on one of the pillow cases . It could not have been washed prior to being put on the bed. The rest of the room was clean. We went downstairs and asked for a new pillow case . We had a room for 4 but only had towels for 3. We went downstairs again to get another set and were given a wash cloth that was folded but appeared to be dirty with what resembled makeup. The soap in the shower was empty. I have stayed at several Holiday Inns this one was less than what I expected but not terrible. Good blackout curtains and quiet . Easy access to get back on the road. It would have been nice if they would have offered water upon arrival.

After seeing so many positive reviews I booked a room after a long drive. I now believe they’re bot reviews. The staff were friendly but the rooms are not very clean. The guests were leaving trails of water from the pool to the elevator with dirty footprints. No one cared to clean the water up the 3 times I used the elevator. Walls are paper thin..our neighbors had a very long and loud session. There was dust everywhere, bathroom exhaust fan hasn’t seen a duster in quite sometime. Random splatters on the room walls. If you need a quick rest and aren’t picky, this is your place.

The bedding smelled weird. It smelled old. And there was hair everywhere. Underbeath the sheets, in the bathroom, on the counter.

Hotel was clean. I have stayed here before and enjoyed this stay better than the past ones - guests and staff very friendly as well as helpful. Hotel clean and comfortable.

Stop through on a long road trip and when we arrived, it was the last room. Two queen beds one bed looked like it had been slept on and made back up. Walked into the bathroom and there’s long black hairs on the towel.

The staff was friendly and polite, but other than the beds being comfy, this stay was okay. The sink was dirty, toilet seat was old and had stains all over it, there was black hair all over the tub. Luckily, the beds were super comfortable and clean. It was also very loud outside my room the morning of when I left. I honestly wish I can get my money back, but I didn’t take any pictures because I was so tired when I got there. I wish I had now.

Everyone I encountered seemed very friendly. The breakfast buffet was quite nice. The only personal minus is that the rooms are a little tight on space. Other than that, a very good stay.

Room was on the smaller side with the sink in the room. The bathroom was extremely tight/small. The chaise was off and looked and felt like it might have been missing a cushion. It was also too large for the size of the room. The walls are thin so noises from neighbors were heard throughout the night. Breakfast was good. Pool area could use some maintenance/cleaning. Highlight of the stay was the staff: they were all kind and helpful.

The beds are very soft, not much support.

My only complaint is the walls seem paper thin. We heard everything our neighbors were doing all night.

Clean. Modern. The walls are a bit thin, but you get to know your neighbors' music tastes that way.

The staff were so nice and helpful. The room was great, it was quiet, very comfortable, not to mention the complimentary breakfast was fantastic. Would stay here again. Definitely recommend.

Requested a wake up time that never happened. Staff didn't record it so it wasnt done. Woke 30 minutes later which messed up our itinerary

The customer service from entry to turn down service, the staff was extremely rude and abrasive. The hotel was nice, clean the breakfast was wonderful but the staff needs training on hospitality. The overall was just okay

Didnt like the front guest agents attitude when i first got here. Extremely disrespectful and then when the phone rang he kept yelling at other people to call back later. Totally unacceptable

This hotel overbooks. We had an issue getting s room when we arrived. We had prepaid so I don’t understand why our room was given away. Finally got a room, only to have to relocate to a different room in the morning. Very inconvenient.

Initially had trouble with room billing with hotels.com being a complicating factor. With a good deal of effort the manager did get it fixed. Thank you.

The whole experience started horribly, checking in with the older female receptionist was unprofessional she stated she couldn’t see my name in the system. I showed her the confirmation email, and she dismissed me and said you must rebook with us I can’t find you. She then said there’s no option for two beds. I was so frustrated, the other receptionist chimed in and asked what’s my last name, she found it with no problem and apologized on the behalf of the worker. In the morning, I was awakened by the cleaning lady she was loud talking and dragging her cleaning cart. The last thing, I found to be insane there’s no water in the refrigerator. I asked for water and the receptionist said i need to buy the water. I paid $12.00 for two bottles Dasani water and a Welch snack that price was outrageous. Water is a basic need why can it be free? The next day, I asked to speak to the manager he was dismissive and said you should have read the sign there’s no complimentary and this is how the company makes there money. Furthermore, he said I wasn’t a member they get the special treatment of having water and soda in there refrigerator. The tone of his voice was sarcastic I didn’t appreciate it. I’ve been to many hotels and never experienced this type of service, it was disturbing. I’ll never book there again. I’ll make sure to share my experience with every social media outlet. Holiday Inn express needs to do better in customer service and provide water it’s a basic need.

Our stay here was great! We were so very close to the airport, which is what we wanted. And the room was so very nice,; quiet and everything was up to date. Quite impressed with the place!! Would stay here again and would recommend it:)

Great property, rooms were clean and comfy bed. Staff was friendly and breakfast was better than expected. No food options nearby and it’s difficult to even walk to the gas station nearby.

Restaurants were 10 minutes away. Not bad but not as convenient as I would have liked.

Convenient location

Good service. People were very nice. All the amenities were available. It was perfect for a one night day with our family. We would stay there again. Also, very close to all of the good towns like Bethlehem and Easton.

The location of the hotel is accessible from the highway and downtown Allentown. The breakfast choices are amazing. Highly recommended!

Morning coffee was good, as most free hotel breakfast go this one was better than most other hotels.

This IHG location was not what I expected, the service and atmosphere is usually much more different. The check in process was easy and friendly but the majority of the time I was around there was no one in the front desk. The hallways smelled like dirty mop water, there was only one super small elevator on site, the one-way parking was confusing, and people were usually driving the wrong way. During one of the nights I noticed the trash was taken out but my bed wasn't made which was surprising. My bathtub was also dirty when I checked in so i just showered in my sandals. One of the things I look forward to is the breakfast. The first morning was fine, but I was surprised to see employees sitting in the lobby helping themselves with breakfast. There was also a lot of bickering within the employees. There was a confrontation between one of the ladies in the kitchen and the front desk lady about the clocking in process. Stating she should not be in the back punching in that someone should be doing that when she checks in. then she was stating that she always used (she referenced 2 individuals) codes to clock in. On the second day for breakfast the area was opened late because the same kitchen lady from the day before came in late. An individual who I believe was the manager confronted her about it and then stayed sitting in the lobby observing. The breakfast on this morning was not good and the bacon served was practically raw. Overall it was not a good expierence.

Check in was easy, all the staff we came in contact with was efficient and friendly. Our room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Free breakfast had hot food ... hashbriwns, eggs, sausage, bacon, fresh oatmeal, as well as pastries, muffins, yogurt. The coffee was good as well.

Great breakfast and the workers took pride in their job and was a much better experience than the Hagerstown holiday inn.

I like the complimentary breakfast there was a good variety eggs bacon sausage cereal oatmeal English muffins chocolate milk white milk yogurt I mean you can't beat that included in the price of a stay especially if there's other people's with you like your wife or your kids it's a big value

Got a great rate on Expedia, was easy on/off from highway. Staff were super friendly at this hotel. Breakfast was great, including the coffee.

The bed was so comfortable that I fell asleep right away and didn’t wake up to turn over for several hours. Breakfast offered a good selection of hot and cold options. And I really appreciated that breakfast was offered until 10 am. When traveling, some of us don't want to wake up at the crack of dawn to eat.
