Homewood Suites by Hilton Philadelphia-Valley Forge

The hotel meet our needs but needs some work to it. The problem we had is the fact the hotel allowed a few guest to host a huge party in the common area of the hotel. They had non paying guest use all the amenities taking away from us who paid. There were over 75 people in the tiny pool area. When asked to speak to a manger about my children not feeling safe in the pool due to the amount of people and we were told there was none on duty and they would call us. They never did. We paid good money for our kids to be able to swim and use the basketball court but we were not able to due to non guest. There were only 2 towels in our room with an occupancy of 4 and no towels for the pool. Highly disappointed

The hotel manager checked us in and was able to accomodate our 2nd floor room request without issue. We selected this hotel for its proximity to Valley Forge, the included breakfast and the availability of laundry services on site. Washer and Dryer cost $2 per load but they are newer machines and work well for the travelling family. The hotel appears to have been in service for awhile and there is normal wear and tear throughout the facility. Our room had a faint odor that could have been from the previous occupant or the age of the hotel. The room was spacious and met our needs.

there was rats running around, then they admitted to having a rat problem. moved me to another room where there’s no electricity. The pool is closed broken.

I liked the gym (very clean and adequate). I did not like that they had started shutdown of breakfast before 9am (weekday) and they were working on the fire alarm systems which kept going off which is disruptive if one is on teleconferences.

The amenities of the room were great. There was a stove, microwave, dishwasher, full size refrigerator and freezer, and the cabinets were stocked with glasses and plates. Unfortunately there were plenty of cons as well. The glasses were all dirty from previous use. Only one of the 4 light bulbs in the kitchen area worked. The lighting temperatures are also mismatched. Some lamps and overhead lights are a harsh bright white, while a couple of the lamps were a more appropriate warm yellow hue. It was very jarring if you turned on both colors at the same time. I wish all the lights were a warmer color. The elevator was also extremely rough and often jolts and shudders. The included breakfast had eggs which was appreciated, but the potatoes were exceptionally bad. They offer cereals which is what I’d stick with. They also had tortillas and meat to make your own breakfast tacos which is a nice option that’s not too common in my experience. The staff were pleasant enough and the stay went smoothly. I’d definitely recommend it and will stay again because the cons were very minor. The room felt substantial and the main floor is nice and welcoming. The location is excellent with tons of nearby options for food and a gas station across the street. It’s a very short drive to the expo center from here, and easy to get to other places like Valley Forge Historical Park or Philadelphia thanks to the prime location, and to me the most important factor in a good hotel is the location.

Loved the 2 bedroom suites and pool area! Just what we wanted. Only complaints would be not enough towels, blankets in an “8 person” suite and when we called for more blankets they said they didn’t have anymore. Not enough coffee for 8 people either. I think rooms should be stocked for possibly 8 people as it’s advertised for. Otherwise great!

If we were paying $100, it would have been fine. $200 is too much for this hotel. Dated decor/carpet The room smelled like cigarettes, lamps falling apart. Shower super slippery, bathroom sink slow drain. Bed was like a board. Bench at pool covered in sidewalk chalk (Didn't know that until we sat down). Algae in pool near ladder. Didn't take many photos, Leaning lamp provided for humor. Pros: Location The air conditioning worked well. Mainly quiet.

Good stay for our family vacation, with separate bedroom and living room. Very nice rooms and common areas. Lots of options for breakfast, including hot food. Slight wear is starting to show. Pool was cloudy, golf putting green worn, and basketball perimeter net had a few holes, but still a nice area. Our bathroom toilet seemed to run a bit, which was noticeable, and the couch was not that comfortable. However the hotel and stay were very nice and would have not any issues booking again. There were plenty of dining options, grocery store, and Walmart within walking distance. Rating is more of a 4 1/2 star.

While overall it was ok, there were a few iffy things: We were not late for breakfast, around 8 am and they ran out of eggs (said supplies will be delivered the following day) and only had one single waffle maker. The carpet in our room felt gross, like it needed a good cleaning. There was some large stains on the dining chairs in our room, really discusting. They state that they have mini golf, but it's actually just a really small putting green w/ 2 holes. And they only had 1 left-hand club available, they said guests didn't return their other clubs. The pool was nice, smaller then it appears in the pictures. Overal ok for the price.

Quick check in. Room was very nice, and big.. Way bigger than I needed, but I enjoyed it. My room was on the first floor, near the lobby, and noise was not an issue. I didn’t get a chance to use the fitness center or swimming pool, but they looked nice.

BATHROOMS WERE VERY DIRTY

Room was old and dirty carpet with stains. Breakfast was A for effort and C- for quality

We could not get them to clean the room, empty trash or bring towels after 6-7 requests over 5days/ supposed to come every other day but after numerous inquiries w front desk, they still never came. Our trash over flowed. We ended up using hand towels to dry off after showers because no matter how many times we asked nobody ever came with fresh towels & we had discarded old ones on the floor when we were told maids would come that day. Our son used the pull out bed and we asked for a blanket for him and were told they had run out. So he just had a sheet & no blanket. Pool was cloudy, green and smelly. Also, room 407 smelled awful on arrival. I’m guessing due to lack of cleaners that clean but we were told by front desk that the 4th used to be a Smoking floor years ago and retained the bad smell because it had sunk into the walls and carpets. At check out we told the front desk (again) that after 5 days, nobody would ever come with towels, trash removal & room refresh and they said we were 4th people who reported that at check out 7/7/24. I even spoke to the maid on day 3 about it and she said “I no understand “.Her cart was parked (with no towels on it) in front of the same room a few doors down from us 5 hrs that day w tv on, don’tstay here. I’m pretty sure nobody at the front desk even cared they pretended to be surprised. Also, outside elevators and all the way to our room looked like it hasn’t been vacuumed in months! Truly bad hotel experience. This place was icky

The room was large, clean and very comfortable.

I received daily text messages from the agent who checked me in and that was nice. But the room had what looked like mold on the outside of the dishwasher and there was rust and mold on the vent in the bathroom. The bathroom tub and floor also had strands of someone else’s hair.

The staff was very nice and helpful but our room was not very comfortable. The floors and carpets were worn and stained, the beds were very uncomfortable, the toilet had issues where it ran all the time but also did not fill properly, and there was something in the corner of the bathroom that looked like blood. We made it through the night but probably would not stay again.

This is an older hotel that has been well maintained. The staff was excellent and the room was very comfortable and clean.

I must say our stay at Homewood Suits was disappointing! It’s been awhile since I used Homewood Suites and the second time disappointed as last experience wasn’t great! First the good! Two out of three front staff were helpful, one appeared inexperienced and not helpful! The lady on break duty on Saturday & Sunday was fabulous, while the guy on Monday breakfast was useless! He spent his time on a cell phone and then disappeared! As I noted to the front end staff, breakfast on Sunday was very good, fresh fruit including banana's, strawberries & blueberries. There was granola and yogurt. On Monday I mentioned to the guy that there was none of these! His terse response was “well there is bananas”! I also pointed out that all the peanut butter packages were stuck together, gross to say the least but he just disappeared Lastly there is a big deal about being a Hilton Honours club member! I know my daughter was at the sister hotel next door and received a package and some perks. Nothing was done to help There was also an extended wifi outage that went unexplained! Not my favourite hotel experience! Homewood Suites has slipped badly in my experience!

i loved the size of the room, the tall ceilegs, the full kitchen, all of it was clean. very impressed . great value for what you get.

I’ve stayed here prior to my last trip and loved it. This trip however, my room had no heat.

Hotel rooms are very tired and run down

the property is in very nice shape , she is showing her age, but the rooms are great, i love the options for size. full kitchen, big walk in showers, clean linens , nice beds, nice furniture. large refrigerator. price point makes it a great deal.

Bed was very comfortable but the room was very tired and there was not a walk in shower as booked.

The rooms was very old looking had a smell the hall way was alil scary we had no hot water the morning we stayed

The hotel is fantastic and is located so conveniently to all the restaurants that you would want to go to. I must say… The front desk staff is really the best. Top notch Customer Service. I especially love Rachel! Thanks all of you for all you do.

The check in person refused to enter our hilton honors number and said that there was no credit since we had booked through expedia. But the following day the receptionist was easily able to enter the hilton honors number. The key cards didn't work and we had to take them back to the reception twice. The same rude person was on duty and continued to be rude. The soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower should not be attached to the wall with some adhesive as they don't stay put and had fallen to the floor. Very poor design.

Was expecting a better option for the area. Was triple charged for 2 boxes of detergent. Check in and checkout was terrible.

Room was better than i had expected. Check-in services was amazing as my guest arrived before i did and they called to verify he was one of the people i had listed as a guest. Super clean and safe environment. Will probably book here again next year

staff was incredible. super busy with baseball tournments abd made everyone feel like they made time for each person. rachel at the front desk was a pleasure!

The property was convenient to where we were visiting. We were traveling with several family members and wanted several bedrooms. Our room had a king-sized bedroom for adults, a bedroom with two queens for kids, two bathrooms, kitchenette and lounge area. Plenty of space for everyone. The room above us was very loud with music and pounding. The hotel staff was accommodating and founds us another room.

I was called at check in to be informed that they were over booked and they moved me to a different hotel. Didn’t ask, told me. And put me in a room that was not what I reserved. When I asked if it was the same studio suite they said yes. When I got to the other hotel they didn’t know I was coming and didn’t have my payment on file at all. I paid for the room in advance a month prior to my visit. Very disappointed with my first experience with Hilton hotels.

I had an event at the convention center. This was close and easy to get to. Staff was very nice.

Very clean and close to a lot of amenities.

Great Hotel. Was more than I expect. I enjoyed the stay there and enjoyed going to the restaurants in the area.

I loved my stay here! I stayed for 3 nights to take a break from my family and get alone time. Incredibly clean, good WiFi, friendly staff, room service really provided a full service when I was out, there was a very good breakfast buffet each morning, it was surprisingly quiet (rarely heard anyone else when I was in my suite), overall convenient and comfortable. Had an amazing time. I will definitely return in the future the next time I need a break.

The stay was good and we liked our room. Had issues with our refrigerator and it was promptly repaired. The breakfast offering was light on eggs and other protein choices during our week long stay. Good value though.

Clean, specious and comfortable room. Hot breakfast items were not very warm or breakfast meat overcooked and hard.

Nice place; great room. There is absolutely nothing to complain about. Every was great. One small thing and it surprised me; the breakfast was plentiful but not the best tasting hot food. It was totally edible but eh.

Rate was decent only had one towel. Continental breakfast was OK but could be improved.
